Let me know what you are going to do instead of the forum this year.

Most people agreed on a "penpal"

Thisis the site that Yara told us about last year.

If you are not going to do this - which will involve occasional updates for me then you need to reply to this post with what you are going to do.

Remember this work represents 5 points of the classwork mark. affraid

Hello John,

I am personally still on interpals and I talk to people from all around the world! I am also a postcard collector and I am a member in Postcrossing.com where I can send an receive postcards from everywhere. Hmmmm what else... I give english lessons to french teenagers (agony :p) and I read books and watch movies and series in English. (by the way have you seen the last episodes of the walking dead?). I also play video games in English (not the ones Salvatore talks about with the sex scenes and the nudity..). i suppose that's basically it... I am not sure what else should I post (like a proof?)

Have a nice weekend

Hi John, for listening,I watch a TV show called Face off, twice a week. It‘s a game show of prosthetic makeup. The participants create different characters (monster, vampire, E.T. etc)according to the theme of challenges. I like it so much and I can uncover the secrets of science fiction movies. Now I have finished the season 5. And for writing, I communicate once a week with my friend by e-mail. She is Singaporean but works in Shanghai now. We have met in Singapore when I traveled there. We talk about our lives, work, study ... That is what I do for practicing my English this semester.

Hi John, well i've done a little bit of the forum this semester but not enough ! And i know it ! I got really taken by this internship thing (but i finally got one today !!) SO, i will take the time to talk more on the forum now Smile
As you know, i also spend a lot of time on video games and that's where i talk the most. Almost every day i speak or read english (mainly there : http://www.surrenderat20.net/ and there https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends ). And of course inside the games i play (well that's also how i learnt english throughout the last years !).

As for the listening, well, same adress : https://www.twitch.tv/directory . Games again, but in fact it's much more technical than what it looks like, and they use a ton of expressions, and speak really fast (like sports commentator). And youtube every day is a pretty good way to keep working on my english !

Well you could say that i could have spent this time on your forum instead of these forums and games, and i know that i should have ! I'll get back to work Wink

Hello John! As I told you I have a penpal, a New Zealander I met years ago when she spent 3 months in France. We became friends but stopped talking as the years went by. But we reconnected thanks to this awesome idea! So we exchange long emails every week since the beginning of the year. I also watch videos on YouTube in English almost every day, I watch movies in original version and read books, currently The Lovely Bones, which was adapted into a movie by Peter Jackson. I also spend (way too many) hours on the Internet, on blogs or social media, reading English posts. So I definitely practice English on a daily basis! Smile

Hi John,

I was on interpals, but the discussion turn too fast ambiguous in my taste (i'm not sur i could translate the expression like that), so i come back in the forum.

I practice english too with my best friend, she's almost bilingual so we speak each other only in english, it was sometimes really funny and absolutely meaningless but it makes me progress. She also offered me a book "The wild things" but i must first finish H.P. and the philosopher's stone.

I'm a postcard collector like Yara so i send postcard to an old Scottish friend each time i move to my house and she also does.

And now i really watch all my series in english, some with english subtitle but not all.

I know i have a lot progress to does for speak well in english and i really want it so i plan to go to an English speaking country this summer if i'm not still in internship.

Hello John, to improve my english, I speak the english forum and Interpals. On the Interpals website, I try to write sentences without help me vocabulary, searching alone how I can construct my sentences. On this website, it's easier to make english because it's facing young people and we don't speak orally. Indeed, I can understand written english than spoken english. This year, I watched a lot of series in english with subtitles to exercise me to listen and to understand english sentences with different accents.

I would like to read books in English but I would have to start with easy books for teenagers for example.

I find it's difficult to learn to speak English alone. I think I have to go to England to immerse and push on me to talk a little more.

Sometimes I also read some articles in english that I can find in my Facebook feed.

Sorry John, i try to use Interpal, i create my profil share information about me and chat with "interesting" people over the world but a lot of talk treat about "People facts" with comments like "Did you see Kim Kardashian pictures on Instagram"
I don't care of that !

So i decided to log out  of this website because i have a "bad experience" but i'm sure that it's will be different if i re-use this website an other time.

I prefer  ask questions and  answer  on the forum and for improve my level in english and for that, i decided to write a comment every day between 19/03 and 31/03.

Anyway,  do you know  Cloudschool John ? https://www.cloudschool.org/

According to this website : "It's the easiest way to create and deliver lessons for your students."

If you need a proof of my account in Interpals, you can see my profile here but Yara and Alex can confirm  :  https://i.servimg.com/u/f84/19/36/93/90/interp12.png

Hi John,

I'm on penpals and I spoke with a dozen people from different countries (england, iceland, australia, germany). I shared a lot with two Icelandic. One of my biggest dream would be to trip to this country, so I asked them for some advice and what to do there.
I also watch some series to improve my English. I watched the last season of the walking dead, house of cards, and I just start to Better Call Saul and Sense 8.
Then I went to London in February for a week, I talked with several people. We spoke about photography, about our life, and what we were currently doing in London
I also regularly use the application Duolingo.

Hi John,
I'm very sorry, I'm super late to answer your question.
This semester, I was inspired by Eloïse and I reconnect with some of my polish friends from Erasmus. We talk about our life, what we did since these past five years. I talk mostly to my dear Paulina. She lives in England now, she teaches volley ball to rich people and she has a german boyfriend. She seems really happy and we'll probably meet soon, when I'll live in Paris or when she'll go to Canada in about two years.
I also talk to Gaëlle on this forum, about the best TV show ever and we discuss about what could happen (we were usually totally wrong, because it's a great show)
And finally my sister (who live in New York) offered my mum an American trivial pursuit and we play whenever we can.
I still watched many American TV show but it's not a writing task so you don't care...
I hope it's enough, I improved my level in English thanks to you. And during my internship, I will write a lot of mail to an indian team (I think I'll have to tell them what to do Very Happy ), so I hope my writing english is understandable.
Oh I forgot, at the beginning of the semester I had a free pass to use a website named gymglish. It was really useful, I had grammar exercises to do every day.
