SUITS - SEASON 1 - Fanny HAMON

Hello mister Cox,
I chose to watch the SUITS series. I have never seen it before. The story deals with Mike Ross who works as a law associate for a great lawyer in New-York. But Mike Ross doesn't have the Bar diploma. The story focuses on Harvey (the great lawyer) and Mike, managing to close cases while maintaining Mike's secret.

EPISODE 1 (Parts 1 & 2, length 1:21:20)

Mike Ross is the main character of this series. His dream was to become a lawyer. He’s a very intelligent man with a spectacular memory. He earns his life by passing exams for other people. Even if Mike Ross doesn’t have the Bar diploma, he gets hired by a great lawyer of New-York on the basis of a misunderstanding. In fact, he needs money to keep his grandmother in her private health institution. For this, he agrees to make a delivery of marijuana that is paid 25000$. By trying to escape the cops, Mike finds himself spending an interview to become assistant of a lawyer.

The first task entrusted to Mike is to deal with a sexual harassment story. Nancy accuses her former boss (Hunt) of sexually harassing. To resolve this case, Mike works day and night. He reads many files and he ends up finding an older employee (Joanna) of Hunt. Mike succeeded in convincing her to testify. But she betrays him during the confrontation with her former boss. Mike reaches to win this case by showing that Joanna was paid by Hunt to provide a false testimony.

EPISODE 2 « Error and Omissions » (length 43 :02)

Mike has not yet got a new client. So, he can’t sit in the high-stakes investor meeting. Instead of this meeting, Mike had to file the patent update. Mike doesn’t know how doing this. Gregory (a colleague) offers to do the job, in exchange Mike must deal with a file. But the file turns out to be thousands of pages long. Finally, the patent wasn’t submitted in time. Harvey (the big lawyer in New-York) was furious. Louis (Harvey’s competitor) tries to trap Mike : he says to him that this drug analyzers are positive. After that, Louis tries to blackmail Mike to get a new client : Mike must smoke a joint. Harvey notices that Mike is weird and put a stop to this blackmail.

EPISODE 3 "Inside Track" (length 42:06)

Louis tells Mike to organize the “rookie dinner” : each new assistant must organize it. Mike then asks Harvey and Rachel for their advice, but they provide him no help.
Mike found a replacement CEO for the company of McKernon Motors. Mike suggests Dominic, the engineer. Dominic is passionate about his job. Nevertheless, Harvey and Dominic aren’t on friendly terms.
Trevor is the best friend of Mike. Trevor is the person who trained Mike in drug trafficking. Jenny (Trevor’s girlfriend) was furious after Mike when she discovered that Trevor is a drug dealer. She was furious at him for lying to her about drug trafficking.
Rachel finally decides to help Mike for his “rookie dinner”. And Harvey pays for his bill.
Mike says to Jenny that Trevor continues to lie to her. Trevor and Mike fight. Mike decides not to see Trevor again. Later, Jenny and Mike end up kissing.

EPISODE 4 “Dirty Little Secrets” (length 42:59)

Jessica (Harvey’s supervisor) entrust Harvey a case dealing with ALS drug. The ALS drug has been made by Quentin (Jessica’s ex-husband). Harvey isn’t interested in the case because he fears that Jessica will interfere with his work.
Mike deals with a case about the bedbug problem in a building. He wants to inspect the apartment and asks Rachel to be his wife to be credible during the apartment tour. It’s the first case in housing court for Mike and he unfortunately loses.
The ALS drug is suspected to have side effects, hidden by the manufacturer. Harvey thinks him too, that ALS drug has hidden side effect. Later, Lisa (Quentin’s actual wife) admits that she falsified drug trials to put it on the market. She did this because Quentin got the ALS.

EPISODE 5 "Bailout" (length 42:38)

Harvey brings to Mike business card, so that Mike becomes more credible as a lawyer. During a meeting, Trevor (Mike's best friend) calls Mike and says he is in jail. Harvey understands that Mike didn't cup Trevor off as he asked him.
Mike comes late to a meeting with Harvey again. The car they take crashes into a cab. An argument breaks out. The taxi driver was on edge and brought the case to court. At the hearing to the court, the taxi driver has good arguments for his vindication. Despite this, Mike notices a detail in the investigation report : the taxi driver was late for his appointment that day. The judge gives credit to Harvey and Mike.
Trevor owes money to two men. Later, the men hold Trevor in hostage and try to blackmail Mike. Harvey notices that and decide to help Mike in order to put Trevor as far as possible after that. Harvey threat the two men to call the police force and bring them to the court for abduction and
sequestration. The two men releasing Trevor. Mike gives Trevor a bus ticket to start a new life.

EPISODE 6 "Tricks of the Trad" (length 42:36)

Harvey deals with an insider trading case. An insider trading is an illegal practice of trading on the stock exchange to one’s own advantage through having access to confidential information. Gabby Stone is the employee of Morello society accused of insider trading. One day, Gabby Stone apparently purchased 10 million dollars worth on stocks while the purchase limit is 9 million dollars. Gaby Stone claims her innocence in this case. At the end, Gabby is exonerated, thanks to Mike and Harvey.
A friend of Rachel, Teresa passes to the law firm. Mike reveals that Teresa was in fact a student for whom he passed the contest to enter at Harvard University. After that, Rachel tells Mike that she never gets the Harvard contest. Mike will help her, but she refuses. Mike insists and Rachel accepts. Later, Rachel and Teresa go to the restaurant and Teresa reveals to Rachel that she paid someone to pass the contest in her place. Rachel was offended. At the end, Rachel understands that Mike is the one who passed the contest to Teresa’s place.

EPISODE 7 "Play the man" (length 42:56)

In this episode of suits, the associates are paired up with one another in a mock trial exercise. The aim of this exercise is to learn how to be a great lawyer. Mike is opposite to Kyle. On Harvey's advices, Mike asks Jenny to participate in this exercise. Jenny plays the role of a witness. Harvey also advises Mike to use the person rather than the facts. Rachel is the accused. She is accused of having performed and posted a video on social networks. This video is harming some people. Mike defends well : He is close to victory. He uses an argument after Rachel : she performs a video to take revenge because she cannot seem to have the competition of the Bar. This argument affects Rachel a lot because in the real life, she cannot seem to have the competition of the Bar. Mike realizes she is moved and decide to stop the pleadings. So, he loses this false trial. Harvey reproaches him for not being a strong man. Harvey tells Mike that he is not made for this job.

EPISODE 8 "Identity Crisis" (length 43:02)

Jessica (Harvey's supervisor) orders Harvey to work with Louis (his hated colleague). They have to work for Lucille Jackson's foundation. Indeed, a man named Anthony Mazlo has embezzled money from her foundation. The two men have to find out where the embezzled money is. Louis began to put pressure to Elliot Perkins but it doesn't work because Elliot Perkins dies after a pulmonary embolism.

Jerome Jensen's daughter discovered that Mike never went to Harvard. She is very good at computing. Harvey confides to Mike to reconcile Jérôme Jensen with his daughter.

In the end, Lucille got her money back. Lola (Jerome Jensen's daughter) gives to Mike a real law degree from Harward. She also puts in his information into the Harward alumni database.

EPISODE 9 "Undefeated" (length 42:34)

Harvey finds himself in competition with a great lawyer: Travis Tanner. The case is about the Emerson Petroleum company. The company forgot to refill an oil hole under a school. 200 people from school, teachers and students have contracted a cancer. The company is accused of being responsible of these cancers.
Louis discovered that an associate had leaked a confidential witness list to a rival firm. Rachel was hired for this because someone has denounced her. Mike decided to play detective because he thinks Rachel is innocent and that it’s a mistake. Mike investigates the IT department and discover that someone use Rachel’s personal employee code recently.
Harvey bested Tanner, after Mike gave him some advice, and won the case against Emerson Petroleum. Mike found out the person responsible for leaking the witness list and framing Rachel : Jimmy. Rachel was reinstated after negotiations.

EPISODE 10 "The shelf life" (length : 43:02)

A “senior VP” of Person Hardman’s accounting firm Dreibach Accounting, Stan Jacobson, is let go because he lied on his resume about getting his business school license. Mike is worried that a same thing might happen to him one day.
Mike and Jenny go to a party at the Harvard Club. They managed strategy to get into the club. At this party, Jenny hands Mike an employee access card from Unger and Macy law firm. So that, Mike can enter into the company to search something after Dreibach. Mike gets caught by the security guard, and Harvey has to rescue Mike.
In this episode, Mike and Rachel exchange a kiss. Louis told Jenny to pay attention after Rachel’s intentions. He told her to come to the firm more often.

Harvey and Louis must work together for their respective clients, 2 sisters : Kelsey an Madison Price. Kelsey wants the tabloid and her sister wants only that Kelsey doesn’t have what she wants. So, Harvey and Louis must compete.
Jenny wants a dinner at a restaurant with Rachel. At first, Mike refuses but finally accepts. Jenny sees that Mike has feelings of love for Rachel. At the end of the dinner, she asks Mike to make a choice between herself and Rachel.
The old boss of Harvey, Cameron Dennis is charged in a case of falsifying DNA results. Harvey leaves his former job when he learned the truth about his mentor, Cameron Dennis.

EPISODE 12 "Dog fight" (length : 42:41)

Harvey works in a case for Clifford. Harvey puts him behind bars twelve years ago for a murder he didn’t commit. Harvey works hard to win the case. Harvey encounters difficulties with the new prosecutor. At the end, Clifford was finally released from prison, thanks to Mike and his older best friend : Trevor.
Trevor doesn’t know that Mike was seeing his ex-girl friend Jenny. So, when Rachel calls on Mike’s phone, Trevor picks up and listen. Rachel says she knows that Mike sees Jenny but she can’t forget their kiss. Trevor becomes extremely angry after his best friend and go to Pearson Hardman. He asks for Jessica and begin to say “I have something to tell you about Mike, something that Harvey hid from you …” and the episode’s end.

SEASON 2 - EPISODE 1 "She Knows" (length : 43:06)

Trevor had told Jessica Mike had never gone to any law school, so she had him investigated. Jessica told Harvey to fire Mike. Harvey refuses and told Jessica if she fire Mike, to fire him too.
The wife of Hardman (the other half of Person Hardman) had died. Hardman wants to come back to work at Person Hardman, but Jessica and Harvey don’t want. Indeed, Hardman hasn’t worked for 5 years, since his wife was sick.
Harvey offers to Jessica a deal : if he stops Hardman from returning, Mike doesn’t have to go. Harvey failed to keep Hardman at bay, so Mike had to go. If Mike is dismissed, Harvey wants to leave too. Jessica accepts that Mike stays and wants Harvey to help her to save her job.
Jenny told Mike that she knew about his kiss with Rachel because Trevor had told her. They broke up.

SEASON 2 - EPISODE 2 "The Choice" (length : 42:56)

Mike is well delighted to know that Rachel still harbors romantic feelings for him after finally hearing the message he missed because of Trevor.
Louis so know what is really going on between Jessica and Hardman. For that, he asks Donna, but she doesn’t want to say anything.
Mike flirts with Rachel and let her know that he broke up with Jenny for her. Mike and Rachel try to set up some dating ground rules in the library (like the first time they kiss) when Louis reminds Rachel about her assignment. Mike reminds Louis that if he wants Rachel to summarize all the firm’s cases, then he is going to have to wait. At the end, Mike says to Rachel that it’s over. In fact, he doesn’t want to risk losing his job by going out with her.
Harvey meets with Jessica at the building’s rooftop. She explains to him that she feels alone in her power struggle with Hardman. At the end, Harvey says to her that she isn’t alone with her endeavor with Hardman.
