Cartoons of our childhood
I wanted to insist on a quite nostalgic subject here, trying to transform effectively my time spending on youtube.
When i was little, i was mostly watching Disneys on "cassette" (+20 years old bam!) and not really had the opportunity watching tv. Except on some days or for some occasions (like sunday end of the week) when i had the occasion watching some remarkable and unforgettable cartoons for me.
One of them was "Linea". I loved and still loving it because with all the simplicity and effectivity of a line, a great and funny cartoon has been created.
Just please watch it!
Here we could maybe share our cartoons memories, so it's up to you! Waiting for your returns.

Re: Cartoons of our childhood
My childhood cartoons are longer ago. My father was a gambling addict so I was a fan of racing from birth. This cartoon combined racing with interesting characters including an archetypal bad guy with a dog. I've always felt an attachment to Dick Dastardly and his dog Muttley. It's from Hanna-Berbera who were cartoon giants of my childhood:

Hey Salomé, thanks for this topic ! How many recordings do you have ?? My favorite cartoon was "Les malheurs de Sophie", I used to watch it every afternoon after class. This cartoon like "Princesse Sarah" are maybe too depressing for children because the main character has lost her parents or her mother and has to live in a family who doesn't love her. Even if Sophie has a strong personality, she feels out of place in this family.

Re: Cartoons of our childhood
Hello! Nice topic One of my favorite animation series was Code Lyoko! I loved it; it looked like a manga with kids going in a video game world to fight beasts from there that were going in the real world. I have a little brother so I think it would have been complicate to put only princesses and other girlish programs. So fortunately for him, I liked mangas that were unisex or even a bit masculine like Dragon Ball Z, One piece or Full Metal Alchemist… Hopefully, I was the oldest so I could still watch programs like “les malheurs de Sophie” that I really liked too.
(Sorry for the non English one, I was not fluent yet at this time )

Ho Mathilde ! Code Lyoko is so nice ! It really was the best animation series for me too. It combine mangas, video games and all animation series codes !
Do you know this series was created in Angoulême ?

In "Code Lyoko " there is a part of the movie in my old Highschool Guez de Balzac, but for me, this cartoon is really bad.

The Powerpuff Girls ! (I think it's what they're called in English) I could only watch it when I was at my grandmother's because we didn't have the right channel at home but with my two sisters we definitely identified to them and they were so cool !

Re: Cartoons of our childhood
Great topic ! as i used to watch so much it's hard to pick one :-) I watched more anime than cartoons but as long as it would be quite long if i talk about them I'll just focus on cartoons
I really liked Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (even though i re-watched it few years ago and it's somehow quite lame...) I love this cartoon back then i thought i was so funny and cool
In 2013 they released a third version really cool !
I was also really found of Totally Spies

Re: Cartoons of our childhood
It's a classic but Pokémon is my favorite cartoon (Dragon Ball is my second favorite)
It's also particular because i had severals pieces of my memories that i didn't forget when i had ana accident at 13 years old (search in the forum for more explanation or come talk to me IRL if you want to know more)
And those memories are linked to Pokémon so i'm really attached to the cartoon. I was skeptical about the new animation of the series but i like it now. Even though Sacha and Pikachu might look dumb sometimes they're still attaching and melts my heart when i watch an episode

I'd loved "Les malheurs de Sophie" so much, then, very late, I realized how much it is depressing and now I am wondering if it's a good or a bad thing to watch this while we are young...

Ohh ! Totally Spies was one of my favorite cartoons and I liked especially Sam ! When I was a child, I used to imagine I was a spy with different spy's objects (lipstick with laser beam for example)^^
I know this french cartoon was very famous in other countries too

For my part one of the cartoons that took me a lot of my time when I was little was "bob l'éponge carré". I spent time in front of this series that I was in college. Today when I watch some episodes, i have nostalgia. I think everyone knows that the best in this series is the opening credits.
