Okay, I beginning. Personally, I prefer watching series than movies. But doesn't matter, before to watch each movie I look their note online. And you how you decided to watch a movie ? By advices, thanks to trailer, internet's publicity ..? Also, talk about what type of movie do you like ! Let me know your preferences and why

Through this post, I want to bring your attention to one of the only films that provokes goose bumps whenever I watch it. This film is entitled “The Green Mile”.

In my opinion, this film is the most heart breaking film of all times. Indeed, the film retraces the story of a man wrongly sentenced to death for a crime that he didn’t commit. However, this man is not an ordinary man. Indeed, he possesses a special ability. Throughout the film, we learn more about his powers, the true nature of what he’s capable off and the real reason of his presence on the crime scene… Would all these facts avoid his death sentence? Besides this main story, the film is full off secondary scenes that express the daily life of a prison. These scenes emphasize the drama.

To conclude, I want to discuss about the acting performance of the different actors, they are just brilliant. Tom Hanks, who plays the role of one of the guardians of the prison, as usual, is stunning with his role. His performance is so outstanding that we can sense the emotions. He has this ability that not a lot of actors have.



In memory to Michael Clarke Duncan.

Action films are the movies that I prefer. The action movie saga that I like, it's Fast & Furious. This saga center on illegal street racing (mostly the first films of the saga) and heists (mostly in the last films). For the moment they have produced 8 main movies plus two short movies. The last main movie (The Fate of the Furious). The chronological timeline of the story isn't the same chronoligal timeline of the production of movies, because the third movie (Tokyo Drift) in the timeline story is placed after the sixt movie of the saga.

Personally, the film that i prefer it's Furious 7, and this film was also realised in memory of the death of Paul Walker (one of the most important characters of the saga).

I haven't see this movie but it looks cool !
For me, the better movies exist in the world is HARRY POTTER! It's a saga. It's the story of a young man at 11 years who discover that he is a wizard. He is living with his uncle, his aunt and his cousin. They are so horrible with him. He arrives at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When he was young, a baby, Lord Voldemort (an immortal character) killed his parents and he survived with only a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead. This story is so amazing, he fascinates everybody because he became a legend. In all this movies, Harry Potter has two real friends : Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.
During movies, Harry Potter will chain the events because he wants to know why Voldemort killed their parents.
It's very interesting to see the characters' evolutions. These movies including drama, adventure, story of love, mystery... and also a beautiful fantasy universe.
And now, I'm reading all the 7 books. I'm reading the 4 entitled "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" (in French of course !! Sorry Mr. John !). In this book (also in movie), a big tournament came in Hogwarts “Triwizard Tournament », the winner became a legend and he can hope an eternal glory. At the end of 3 tests, Harry Potter was teleported into a graveyard. Voldemort was resurrected by his servants … the master of the death was back. The war beginning, Harry Potter and his friends must find a solution for beat Voldemort.
Tonight, I will look Harry Potter 3 (for the 10th time) because I finished the book last week.

I agree with Marine, I really like Harry Potter too !
For me, an extraordinary director it's Clint Eastwood. In particular with his movie "Million Dollar Baby" !
It's the story of a woman who plays Boxing. She meets a trainer whom she considers as his father. It's a very good movie !

Otherwise, the last movie I saw is Seven Sisters, in the cinema. It was a little strange but really interesting ! It's the story of 7 sisters in a world where only one child by family is authorized ! Did you see that movie ?

I agree with Anas, for me action movies are the best ! One of my prefered movie is Taken producted by Luc Besson. It’s a suite of 3 movies, where the main character, an ex-secret agent, has to safe his family against gangs. There are a lot of battles, pursuit races and Liam NEESON is fantastic in these movies.

However, I also like biographical movies ; when the story is focused on a character who really existed. It’s the case of the movie « Unbroken ». The movie shows the life of Louis ZAMPERINI, an Olympic runner who was captured during the second world war and how he has survived in a camp of prisonners.

What about the trilogy "The Lord of the Ring" which start the same year as Harry Potter?
When I was in primary/middle school, there was a confrontation between this two film series : team-Harry-Potter vs team-Lord-of-the-Ring (like today with team "chocolatine" vs team "pain au chocolat"... Stupid french )
For me both movies are really great, I love fantasy and adventure movies because i think movies have to take us in another world, to make us dream (or have nightmare with horror movies  ).
I will talk about The Lord of the Ring because the Ring's universe is so amazing, there is wizards (Gandalf "YOU SHOULD NOT PASS"), hobbits (Frodon), also humans and dwarfs like Gimli wich is my favorite character. The movies are really fun, special effect are maybe a bit old, but the trilogy is very distracting.
The three movies was a real success, wining 17 Academy Awards, like Titanic.
And recently, Peter Jackson launch the trilogy 'The Hobbit', with same actors as The Lord of the Ring, which is finally a part of this story.

I start to remember my childhood, when I hear about Harry Potter(good memories!). As for me, I prefer to watch movies that based on a true story. The last one was: "Miracle from heaven". This movie is very stirring and emotional.(it really captures the emotions!) It makes me believe in miracles. It is about a young girl who suffers from a rare disease. But an extraordinary miracle helps her, that leaves medical specialists and her family mystified. I advise everyone to watch it!

Really harry Potter it's the bests movies in my childhood ! I saw each movie at the cinema. But also I advise you to watch Hunger game, it's not the same type this trilogy is amazing, for my part the first is better than the others. I don't like fantastic's movies but this one (3 parts) is very interesting, you're mind when you watching it is really in full stress haha

I wish to speak to you about my favorite movie, witch is "Forest Gump" with a big actor as Tom Hanks.
This movie speaks about a young autistic named Forest with mental problems and physical appearance which is put aside by the other children of his age ...
At the end of its adolescence, Forest decides to take its life in hand. He becomes then military for the American army to serve his homeland. During the movie, he tells the striking passages of his life through humors and mockery.
During its life, Forest becomes a champion of American football and ping-pong, but also awarded a diploma by a famous American university.
The movie also tells a beautiful story of friendship between Forest and Bubba, amateur of shrimp ^^. This friendship was interrupted during the war of Vietman or Bubba was killed. Very sad passage  

This movie is great because it speaks various social issues as: the handicap, the success, the friendship, love ... everything it second degree .
The morality of this movie which we can hold is the following one: "the handicap doesn't kill but makes stronger"

Run Forest Run

So it's my turn to discuss about my favorite movie, in my opinion there is nothing better than a movie based on a true story.
In fact, one of my favorite movie is "Hacksaw Ridge". The movie talks about a man who like his father wants to be a soldier but refuses to carry or use a firearm or any kind of weapon.
So, he decides to be a doctor during the Battle of Okinawa against the Japanese.
In the first part of the movie, we see that the main character was treated badly by his comrades and his hierarchy because of his own convictions but throughout the movie he was able to help the other soldiers without any weapon. 
Throughout the war he managed to save dozens of lives alone under the fire of the enemy and became one of the hero of the war.

I agree with the previous posts: i dislike fantastic movies so, i dislike Harry Potter (Sorry, i'll make ennemies, i know) but I love Hunger Games too !
Personally, my favorite movie is "the tears of the sun" by A. Fuqua with Bruce Willis and Monica Bellucci (Guys, it's for you ). This film tells the ups and downs of a doctor in a town in Nigeria, threatened by rebels. A commando is sent to evacuate the doctor, but she refuses to leave the inhabitants. This film touched me bease it shows the atrocities made by humans.
Also, i love watching series, espacially police series, with psychological side but I just finished the current season. Do you have any suggestions ?

I spoke of my favorite movies is « The Fault in Our Stars ». Is a story of a girl with cancer, and this girl thinks that life is finished and she think not find the happiness.
But in a meeting, she found a man with she will be happy. With this man she will carry out these dreams in spite of the disease, she will feel finally normal and will live as all the world, until the day when the drama arrives.
I recommend the film, if you like film of drama.

Otherwise, yesterday I watched « equals » is a 2015 American science fiction. That film spoke of Silas, that man lives in futuristic utopian society, where every man is equal, but also in a society where there is no emotion. But is a condition of peace of the world. One day Silas goes begun has to feel emotion after a dramatic event. And in the world where emotion, its prohibition him go falling in love, this society which encourages to the suicide the people, which feels the emotion which, according to hem is a disease.

It is a movie who asks us a lot of question on society, but also on links between the emotions and his environment.

for me i liked the movie "The giver" that I watched about fews weeks ago. it's about a futuristic society in which all expressions of feelings is banned, an adolescent becomes the guardian of a collective memory capable of calling into questions the order of his fake world. The movie begins in black and white... but don't panic ! it's part of the most emotional scenes of the movie, the superficial world in the movie is a gloomy vision of a future marked by egalitarian tyranny, excessive surveillance, and banned of all kinds of personal revolt.
There's a special creativity and elegance including a superbly orchestrated confrontation between black and white and colors. This movie is a little bit similar of other movies like "Twilight", "Hunger Games" or "Divergente". but yet, it stands out by its purpose :
to achieve happiness, the worst man must cohabit with the best !

I read your posts and I wanna say that anybody have talk about horror movie. Maybe you dont want to horrified yourself.
But in my opinion, I can say that horror movie is the best way to be delivred emotionally. When you watch it with some popcorn and your partner, the good one of course !

I enjoy police series too and the Brits are masters at good police series an old one that had a good psychological side was Wire in the Blood, Happy Valleys is decent, Silent Witness, Morse, Sherlock ...

My favorite series is Sense8, because she is very fascinating. We really live the history as if we were the character, and it want see the lastest chapter ! I was very sad because they are not season 3 . But, I learnt recently that there was a season 3 official so I very happy , but I have to wait a little...

I'm going to speak about the kind of films that I enjoy the best . As far as I'm concerned , I enjoy watching films based on our everyday life . In other words movies in which I can identify myself to the actors , films that can show events that are closer to the ones we can live or undergo in our real life .
I must confess that I dislike science fiction or fantasy movies like Harry Potter , so sorry for the ones who like this movie. I must admit that I watched it once, when I was in the primary school , but as you can guess I didn't enjoy it at all .
My favorite movie is : " A walk to remember" , based on Nicholas Sparks' novel , it's such a beautiful movie . This movie shows how two persons completely different will fall in love with each other , but infortunately , the end is very sad .However this movie give us a real life lesson .

I watch a lot of movies , That's why I don't have a favorite kind of movies. I like action's movie as horror's movie. For exemple, I saw recently Jack reacher and CA. Morever, I choose my movie according to actors. So, I prefer watch the movie with actors that I like. Ryan gosling, Scarlett Johansson, Angelina jolie, Zac Efron, Julie Roberts, Natalie Portman, are very good actors. I love this game.

I prefer watch funny movie or a movie with an original story. I love the actors' role play. For example, I like the wolf of wall street, it's my favorite movie. The actors are very strong and we discover a new world with different codes. For me, Leonardo Di Caprio is a god in this movie and nothing can stop him.
