Group B Sixth subject

Somebody asked if they could write about the past this week. So I'd like you to tell me what invention from the past has most impressed you and why. Only condition is that you can't choose the same as someone who has already replied - so if you're last to reply you'll have to read through all the other posts!

I would like to talk about the invention which is for me the best and more usefull i have ever seen : THE INTERNET
Indeed thanks to this innovation you can have access to an illimited content of information ,the ways of communication have been developped thanks to internet (with e mail or social network for exemple )
Now the Internet is widespread in a whole part of the world and it's even incorporated to mobile phone so as to be connected everytime
Even if we have to pay a subsrciption every month to get an acces to the internet with this invention the cost of communication have been reduced a lot people can communcate for free with e mail instead of using mobile phone
However like a lot of technologies this one have some weakness like free downloading or hacking security system which could be really dangerous so we have to be aware of danger and use it in the right way

The invention which I guess, will revolutionize the world, especially the industry is the 3D printing. This new product can create all sorts of object directly after designing it on a computer. It helps in practically all sectors. It can provide architects with a prototype of their buildings, same as for Plane constructors. Last year, even a car has been built entirely with a 3D printer.  Each year, new features are added to the product. It’s a great opportunity for SMB (Small and Medium Businesses) to develop their activities without a heavy investment in production lines. It’s promising awesome new opportunities.

I read the two subject of the week (Group A & B), and my answer is actually a mix of both of them.
I think there is a lot of great inventions, like we all know, so to choose one in particularity is hard. But it turns out that one of the last film I saw is « The Imitation Game » which is about a man, Alan Turing who created a machine that helped to crack Nazi’s codes during World War 2. Although it’s not a popular invention, because it had to remain secret for a long time, it actually helped to save millions of people. It is said that, without this machine, the war would have lasted 2 years more.
It’s functioning was to decode the german’s radio messages, so that they could predict any upcoming movement or attack.
The Turing’s machine is also the precursor of the computer which is also one of the biggest invention ever.

Yeah the idea is great (and dangerous). For the car you still needed to get a lot of "normal" pieces fitted didn't you?

I'll speak about an invention which revolutionized my youth (Men will be aggree with me ). It was born in 1989 (some yars before my birth) and it allow for a lot of young boys and girl to enjoy there school's playtime ("récréation" in french) : THE GAME BOY !!!!

To maintain its leadership, it has renewed numerous times with new version ( Color , DS ... ) and many additional object.
the " Game Boy " was the first console to go into space which is exceptionnal .

It's not an invention which allowed to save millions of people but this invention offered happiness en joy for millions young persons.

For me, telephone(including cell phone of course) is the most important invention in the modern life.
Firstly, it facilities the communication between us (which is his basic function) , in a couple of seconds we can communicate with friends and families who live far away. It has also reduced distance both in geography and emotional. For example, you can text your new and also old friends whenever you want while in old time we need to write a letter then wait for a couple of weeks and we even don't know if our friends still live in the same place.
Secondly, with the development of  internet and cell phone, now we have access to internet almost everywhere. We could read news, watch videos, play games, and use social media. It enables us to share our opinions with others and fell less lonely.
It's truth that our generation depend too much on our cell phone( I could be very anxious without my cell), but this invention has really changed our life.

For a few days I've been hesitating between two inventions mankind has been able to create in the past century : flying and... the atomic bomb. Apart the complete horror and fear this idea brings up, it seems really staggering to me what man is able to create to dominate and influence. But at the end I honnestly don't wanna be taken for a lunatic or a dangerous person ; and as deep down inside me I'm a soldier of peace (dedication to CSN's wonderful song) I decided to go for aviation. After all, ain't flying one of the wildest dreams in the history of mankind ever ?
It seems so easy now, so normal to see planes and helicopters in everyday life that we tend to forget the technical prowess that's behind it and the astonishing progress during the past century - partly thanks to wars (okay okay I won't mention this kind of things again) - because may I recall aviation is not even a century and a half old indeed !
To me it's the main revolution of XXth century by how it facilitated trips across the world, commercial exchanges, the time saving that goes with it.
Above all who'd deny the joy it brings when you find yourself above the clouds in an engine launched at 850km/h ?

Since everyone talked about inventions i thought of speaking , i'll talk about the invention of music , i was always wondering how it really started , like two men were talking and their accidentaly created rythm . I think the moment human beings created it is still unknown . It was probably created to unite people ,influence the mood and the behavior of many people, and it's probably still its purpose today .
It's incredibly effective at communating emotions (when it's done well lol), thank god for music

I would speak about the invention of writing !
It was the porperty of an elite but now a children can write (in theory) ^^
It gave the opportunity to war chiefs to organize their empire and the logistics of their army for example the pharaons with their scribes who had an advantage against the other tribes.
You can write yours ideas, fedrate people (Mein Kampf) and create a religion for example the holy bible, the Coran and so on...
You can use the writing for entertainment or keep archives. It is a catalyst of innovation it allowed the capitalization of the knowledges from century to century.

Sometimes the simplest invention is the most revolutionary (viagra for the oldest ? )

The inventions that fascinate me are connected with discovering the outer space. It's unbelievable how mankind went all this way from fishing and collecting to discovering the other space, colonies on the Mars, the Space tourism, satellites and etc. The things that were only of writers' imagination (for instance, “The Martian chronicles”, written by Ray Bradbury in 1950) are available now! The outer space is also used now to make experiments, aimed at finding a medicine against the cancer and any other experiments.
At the same time, there are many questions that remain unanswered now and that are of challenge for modern science: are we alone in the Universe? What is the nature of back holes? Who knows, maybe, one day the history described in “Interstellar” will come true.

When I was little, I was been told that, once upon a time, there were four greatest inventions, which is made by brilliant and intelligent Chinese people and have had a huge impact on the entire human world. Papermaking, printing, compass and the gunpowder.
Papermaking and printing, first of all, greatly contributed to the spread and development of civilization. Paper revolutionized the whole communications industry being flexible and less expensive than other writing materials. And also bringing the savage European to the age of enlightenment.
Secondly, the compass greatly improved a ship's long distance navigation ability. The compass have opened the savage Europeans' mind, when it was introduced to Europe form the greatest middle kingdom, so they began the age of discovery.
Lastly, the gunpowder was invented by the alchemists who attempting to make an elixir of immorality which is quite accidental. Since then, the most peaceful race, Chinese people uses it as the fireworks and firecrackers for the festivals. But ungraceful savage European however use it to against the outstanding and excellent Chinese people (first opium war and the second).
This is what just what i was been told.

Very cunning the instructions to not talk about of an invention already mentioned by our comrade, greatly motivated me to get my answer today at 1AM instead of 10AM. It also allows us to see the fabulous speaks of the future instead of the past.

So I decided to take an invention related to our curriculumthe currency. Through the centuries, it has experienced several forms (stones, shells, metals). The currency has helped greatly simplifies trade.

Today, we all become slaves of this invention, forcing us to get up every day to perform exhausting tasks (such as writing 100-200 words on a topic in English to please the teacher, and get good marks because we are good studious pupils).

Someone says "you need to know you're past if you need to build you're futur"
I think that we have more and more inventions this century, and many civilisations invented alot of things witch are using till today . But, the biggest inventions for me could be the one which help people to be united and help people to modernised others inventions ;i want to say about "Education". Education can change a contry, and give him an important advantage than an other one. But, i just want to specify that education 's not really like others invetions,it possibilily for people or contry to keep all invetions and make it better. So it the only way if we need to improve something.

I really hesitate between some invention but forget about technologies, cars and other thing : barbecue is one of the coolest invention of the last centuries ! Could you just imagine a summer without pork chops, sausages and other grilled meat ?

Everything is perfect with the barbecue but another awesome thing with barbecue is when you organized a barbecue party, you just eat good meat while drinking beer with your friends under sunshine. What else ?!

If barbecue wasn’t invented, nobody would make crisps taste barbecue, barbecue sauce and all this yummy things.

To sum up, it’s amazing to see that this invention make meat (and some vegetables) flavorful because it reveals the real taste of fat.

It’s quite difficult to choose and many inventions were cited but after lunch, what comes to my mind is the dishwasher! I hate doing the dishes, it's a waste of time (and that ruins all my manicures!).

The dishwasher should be mandatory in all student flats!

Seriously, the best one for me is the invention of electricity; it’s the start of point of the second industrial revolution. Without it we could not have this standard of living and there are many inventions which would not be born. (And yes no electricity , no dishwasher).
