Hello john.
The monuments, art of silence and time. For me it's representation of one beauty of men. They explain the will, determination of men. They have build during many years and that like during centuries. The monuments can expressed and represented a thought, idea, movement, will, men, cities, nations. It's sound of silence (by simon and garfunkel) in rock, metal, glass or wood. We can imagine many diferent reasons but the real wills of architect or artist are unknown. Now, stop you one moment, stay in front of one monument, close your eyes and imagine, in time, the impact of this.

Hello,
I'm going to talk about monuments.
I think World Heritage is very rich in monuments. The monuments are very varied thanks to all kinds of civilization that may have existed or that still exists. Among the most visited, we can find: the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal, the Christ the Redeemer of Corcovado, the Forbidden City ...
Each country has its own history, which enriches the world's heritage.
For me my favorite monument are the pyramids but I have never see that and it's my dream to see them.

Hello John,
Monuments for me represent the civilazation throughout history. Some monuments were destroyed while others were built. I was able to visit like the Eiffel Tour, the Statue of Liberty, and it often impressed me especially those who are old because the means were not the same as today.
I know that some people are even dead to build them, that's why I find it important to preserve them so as not to forget. In addition, the monuments are generally incredible.

Hello,
I am going to talk about monuments. They are kind of representation of the history. If you read accros them, you can imagine what was happen.
Also, some of them are beautiful and now an attraction for the tourists. Like in Paris a lot of people come to see "l'arc de triomphe", all the museum ... It's fantastic to watch that their people has got a lot of talent to do them.
But some people don't like to watch and discover monument. Maybe because they don't know the importance of the history.
Today, it's difficult to keep them in "good health" because mostly they are outside and the rain, the weather damage them. And refresh them is very expensive.

When we say monument, it is mainly an architecture built by man at different times. However, firstly, the monuments are also representations of an era, an art, but also it is a construction that delivers a message.
Many countries have an iconic monument, such as the triumphal arch, the statue of liberty that sends a message of peace, the tower of pisa, the pyramid, the eiffel tower. Today, these different monuments causes tourist attractiveness. Many people are curious to know, to understand their story, to imagine what happened just by observing.
In a second time, we can say that these different monuments leave traces and remind us of the importance of history. Nevertheless, with the weather and the meteo, these various constructions are damaged.

Hello
In the history, monuments are signs of domination, superiority, or genius. The fact is that each really famous monument is known because it was the most beautiful, the most luxuous, the biggest, the most expensive, or, it can also be a famous monument made to celebrate an historic time or fact. But often they are known because they are the most tecnical buildings of their times.

A monument can be for me a person who is successful in this field, who is charismatic. For example, in France exist Zinedine Zidane... In England there are Wayne Rooney, David Beckham...

Hello John,
Lot of monuments are important in the world, each one represent the population, the country or a moment of history. For example the "Tour Eiffel" it's a gift of the Americans people to France, it represents the link between these both countries and their friendship after the world war. Also a monument can be art, the "Arc de Triomphe" represent values of the French country. So a monument is very interesting to learn more about a country. Big ben is a part oh the history of England but also monuments are beautiful so it's pleasant to see them.

The monuments represented everywhere in the world a specific architecture or even sculptures that transmit either the memory of a person who would have upset history or an important even. A monument has a role of being built to the Glory of something.
Cities gave built their operation, their reputation through the monuments. They represent the seniority and success of the city or country. Monuments represent a whole story. I think the quality of historical monuments in France is impressive. Each monument traces the history of our country, mainly in Paris with the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the castle of Versaille...

So what monuments have you seen and what did you think?

I crawled through the pyramids in Cairo. I was amazed how small they were next to the massive polluted city. I stood in front of Abu Simbel and wondered how these were created and then moved. I've sang in St.Pauls Cathedral and listened to the amazing acoustics. I've walked around Stonehenge and been amazed at the exactitude of the placement of the stones all those years ago.

The arc de triomphe? Isn't that a place were the Yellow Jackets meet or is it a horse race? Laughing

I'm going to talk about Basilique Saint-Pierre in Vatican. It's one of the most beautiful monument I've seen from today. From the outside, it appears very large, its architecture is unique, consisting of columns, scultpures and many windows. This is exceptional ! When you enter this Basilica you are blown away just to see these huge carved arches. Then, many paintings, paintings, sculptures and objects are present with beautiful colors often gilded. It is a very beautiful symbolic monument of the Catholic religion !

Hi John !
For me, a monument is a something important for the country, for the history.
A monument allows us to remember what happened. Moreover, I find that monuments are beautiful and amazing with their details and sometimes they are very high.
For me, I like the Eiffel Tower because she represent France with its three floors. And I like the Statue of Liberty who represent the Liberty.
But I think for me, that I think for me, that it's in France where we find the most monuments that elsewhere in the world and these are the most beautiful.

In Paris alone We find, the Tower Eiffel, Triumphal arch, At the defense district or In Montmartre.

Hi John

In the Earth's history Human has been always created Monuments. Each monument has a function. For exemple, a religious, social or civil protection role. Nowadays, we can see that a monument is the only trace that is continuing to the present of humans in the earth.
There are monuments which that allows for traceback the ancient civilizations like Egypt or Mexico.
In generally, the construction method and the materials used reflect the period in which where you are.

Hello, today I am going to speak about monuments. Monuments are a part of history for a country. They symbolize history, wars, and the trace of men on Earth.
Monuments can also be constructed to show the human's power, and monuments can attract many tourists and can be a source of business. In fact monuments are the image of a country and are very attractive.
Me, I have ever been in many monuments in different countries, in Russia, in Finland, in Spain, in Italia, or in Paris. I think it is important to discover the story of a country because it is a way to understand why the country is actually like that or that.

Hello John,
In my life I didn't visit a lot of monuments but the most impressive for me was the church of Bonn in Gerany. She is so big and its black color is so intriguing that it impressed me a lot. When I've visited Paris I was forced to see theTour Eiffel, for me this is a very interesting monument because it looks like nothing else and we could ask how they could get the idea to build something like that!
