Week 4 discussion The French Education system
What are your thoughts on the French Education system from Primary through College to University.
Re: Week 4 discussion The French Education system
In my opinion, the french education has a lot of default and has a real lack of organisation. In fact the exigence are in evolution every year and that's have, I think, a bad effect on the succedd of french students who live these changes.
Actually, the french education need to be more stable.

Re: Week 4 discussion The French Education system
The french education system is not the best. I actually think that we don't learn enough the other language and for that I think we should go more abroad, even more when we are young : that's the best moment to learn another language.
If I compare when I was in Germany, People with the same age as me were much more better in English than me from far. And when I see the level today in my STAPS group I get disappointed. So I think it should be better to give more importance to English learning since the beginning of school.

The education system in France is led by the Ministry of Education. In France we don’t have a good education system, especially at the language level. French is known for not being good at language. Our system is not progressing in language the only means of learning is to go abroad to improve. On the other hand there is a development at the level of the CP.

Re: Week 4 discussion The French Education system
I think that the french education system is not bad but not good either. I think we should reorganize this system in some points. It should be easier to choose our orientation with lessons that we can choose according to what we like, and that from the middle school or the high school, as in the United States.

The French Education is very criticized in France. Many people stop school after College contrary in United States where University are very important and Almost mandatory. There are many Reform to do but this is difficult in the face of what is already installed.

We are pretty lucky to have the possibility to be like a doctor for free, that is the big difference between France and others countries.
We don't have to pay during 3O years a loan.

The education system in France is centralized, piloted by the Ministry of National Education. Since 1959, it was compulsory from 6 to 16 years; so-called "family" instruction is legal. There are more than 65,000 schools under the Ministry of Education, although about 15% to 20% of students are in private schools.

In France, we have the chance to can go at the school freely, until high school. Admittedly, the French education system isn't the best, but I think we can to be happy to have this chance. Statistics prove that french students aren't good in comparison to others countrys. However, it's not only the fault to the system, but the mind to the students too.

In my opinion, the french education systeme isn't the best because the french people don't speak english very well like others languages. French students aren't good in comparison to english students because there are a big big university.

In my opinion, the French Education system is not the best, it is too unequal.
Statistics prove that french students aren't good in comparaison to others countries.
There are a lot of reforms but there are not ameliorations, especially in foreign languages and in french and mathematic.
But we can go to school freely and free of charge!

The french education system
The French education system is quite well done. They lead us out of college with a first degree. Then the high school track with a general path is often imprinted with the passing of the baccalaureate. In France, having a baccalaureate is no longer enough to find a job and you have to go through higher education. There are many higher studies available in France.

French éducation
I'm going to talk about french éducation. For me, it's not the best when i compare it to the Swedish. In my opinion, our education does not change significantly. For exemple, a lot of education system use new technology, in France we do not use enough. However, all major universities are in the United States.

Re: Week 4 discussion The French Education system
"The French education system long enjoyed a reputation for having one of the best education systems in the world (...)" -extract from EXPATICA's website-.
"French school pupils ranked 'worst at maths' in all of EU" -extract from The Local.fr website-.
The majority of schools in France are state schools. The vast majority are free and accessible to everybody, until faculty (does this word really exist in english ?).
I don’t remember missing anything at school. In fact I do have great memories of my elementary school's teachers.
Except in mathematics, a real disaster.
In my life I have experimented two types of schools.
First public school with friends, troublemakers, incompetents teachers (my thoughts) and second private girls'school with a uniform, strict rules, education classes, some ladies in charge of our education, work medals and educational medals at the end of each semester.
That was because this school had an obligation of means and results.
I’ve never seen teachers listening that much to their students. Each of them knew all their students.
Moreover if one of us was having troubles, several others came to offer their help to help revise.
This school taught me values, solidarity, I miss them so much. All this girls were wonderful, exceptional.
Something I never found in public school, neither nowadays.
I do think they are not strict enough in public schools. Kids need autority, a support and a frame. They need to know they are not alone, someone is here to help them to evolve and not to lower them with bad grades.
I do not think French education is one of the best of the world, but I truly know that I am really bad in maths.

Re: Week 4 discussion The French Education system
Education is different for each person, according to each family. It is hard to compare each education since each person will educate his child in his own way. Depending on how our parents educated us, this will impact on how to educate our children. Next from where have come, according to our values education will be different. I do not think there is a perfect education.

Re: Week 4 discussion The French Education system
The Ministry of National Education and Youth is the French administration responsible for preparing and implementing government policy in the fields of education. It is headed by the minister, a member of the French government.
It’s a model that I don’t find very effective compared to other countries like Germany. Children in this country work in the morning and play and rest in the afternoon. The timetable is less busy but the success rate is to the benefit of this country.

Re: Week 4 discussion The French Education system
Personally I think that as in every field, there are positive and negative sides.
In terms of comfort I think that the French education system is very correct, however in terms of learning foreign languages .... This is a topic of total discussion.
For me the system from high school, to high school is zero zero zero zero, we do not practice enough and we do not train enough, I find it a pity, a solution to this would be to oproposer more than traveling abroad to progress.

Re: Week 4 discussion The French Education system
In my opinion, the French education systeme isn't good cause when we are 16 and they ask you " what do you want to do for the rest of your life ? " it's a little bit too early for take a decision. We Don't have the experience to know what we want to do but in Germany for exemple, they can travel one years during their studies. In France, if you want to travel it's like you leave the system education, you need to ask your university if they are agree for keep a position for the next years. It's more difficult than others countrys.
