Dance dance dance...
Good evening
Today my subject is again about dance.
As usual, my dance lessons are on Fridays (from 06:15pm to 08:30pm). But this friday was a little different.
With my team, when we have a show coming soon, we sometimes go to the lesson on Friday, sleep at the dancing studio and we continue on Sunday. So that's what we did yesterday and today : we went there for 06:15 pm, we danced up to 09:00 pm, we ate some delicious things that we prepared (everybody wanted to taste everything, that's what we did, we ate too much but it was so good ! ). Then we went back to dance again up to 01:00am and we talked and laughed up to about 03:00am. We woke up at 09:00 to get ready to dance at 10. We finished at 03:00pm.. (And after I went to the swimming pool).
But we did a good job We worked some choregraphies that we alwready knew, we started new ones and we found many ideas to start to write others. I love when we do this; for now we don't have any show soon, but we wanted to do that just because we like beeing together, we know that we always have fun, and because it's during these moments that we create the most.
For example, during a part of the evening, when everybody was suposed to be brushing teeth, taking a shower etc, Anna - the daughter of the teacher with who I get along like a sister (we use to dance together since we were 6 years old) - and me, went to the the room were we dance and we started to dance choregraphies that we know on different musics that not match with the choreo that we're dancing. The musics were differents by the tempo, the rythm, the "tone" (happier, more wistful...) and with Anna, we know each other so much that we manage to place the "accents" of the choreo, the "breathing", the little times of pause, the explosions exactly at the same time, even if the music is totaly different from the one that we used to have for the choreo. I don't know if you get what I mean but all of that is to say that there is a big complicity between us and not only socialy, we feel it in dance also. When we are on stage and we manage to feel it, it feels so good !
I believe my crew is a second family, we know that we can count on everyone and for anything.
With what I did today, I think I have to go to bed soon, my eyes can't see straight anymore... I wish you a good night ! See you soon

I'm exhausted right now !

What we do is a bit our little world, and that's what I like.

Re: Dance dance dance...
Sounds like a really great (and tiring) weekend. I hope that you didn't have homework for any of your classes though
You should seriously look for a way to make this your life - even if it's hard. If you don't you'll find that you have less and less opportunity to do anything like you did this weekend and eventually "life" will take up all the time you have and danse will disappear.
Is there an L3 "STAPS" anywhere in France that focusses on danse or choreography?
