Article links for Presentations Group 1 Empty Article links for Presentations Group 1

The students doing the article summary should put a link to their chosen article in this thread before Saturday Morning along with a list of useful Economic vocabulary from the article (at least 5 words) and their French translation. The rest of the class should read these articles before class on the Wednesday.

Failure to do so will be punished. Twisted Evil

Hello everybody, here's the article I will present to you next week :
http://www.bbc.com/news/business-35398426

There is a video in the article, I wouldn't present it, you aren't obliged to watch it unless the mad mood takes you.(it's not worth it)

Here are the economic words vocabulary that can help you :
barrel : baril
oil-producing : petrolifère (lieu où se trouve du pétrole)
OPEC : Organisation des pays exportateurs de pétrole
to help prices rises : aider les prix à remonter
the additional supply : l'offre supplémentaire
world's oil production : La production de pétrole du monde
tumbling prices: la chute des prix
curbing production : réduire la production

That's a great article Pierre. I hope that everyone in the class gives themselves time to read it and read around the subject it could generate a good discussion. Personally I like the idea that OPEC countries who have held us to ransom for decades are now running frightened. I love the idea that Iran is going to further flood the market with oil - partly because of their dislike of the Saudi regime and partly for investment reasons.
