SUPERGIRL (2015 - ....)

I'm a huge fan of "Arrow", "The Flash" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (i have watched all seasons). So when i learned that these tv series will crossover with "Supergirl" i decided to watch this show.

This American TV series is based on the DC comics character Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl. When she was thirteen year's old, she was sent to Earth with her baby cousin just moments before her native planet exploted (Krypton). However a problem occured with her spacecraft and she had to stay twenty-four years in "the phantom zone". When she finally arrived on Earth, she was still a thirteen years old kryptonian (time doesn't pass in the phantom zone) and her cousin had grown up. In fact everyone knows her cousin: "Superman".

Kara was raised on Earth by a human family: the Danvers. Her parents are played by Dean Cain ( Lois & Clark, 1993-1997) and Helen Slater ( Supergirl, 1984).

Nowadays she is twenty-four years old and the personal assistant of Cat Grant at CATCO Worldwide Media (a media conglomerate in National City). She used to keep her superpowers a secret but she was forced to reveal them to National City in order to save her foster sister from a plain crash.

I have just watched the first two episodes and i really enjoyed them! This show is colourful, funny and the cast is really great!  We can see Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal),  Jeremy Jordan (Smash), Melissa Benoist (Glee), Chyler Leigh (Grey's Anatomy), Mehcad Brooks (Necessary Roughness)... I really like seeing these actors/actresses again   The show also breaks with the comics for example Jimmy Olsen is played by a black guy and Kara's biggest enemy is her aunt.

I started watching arrow but the episodes became too repetitive for me - perhaps I watched 10 maybe less. My son enjoyed them and Flash.

Sounds like the perfect subject for me to intefere. Supergirl is kinda good at first and well she is good looking. But the middle of the first season is a bit boring to be honest. I'm looking forward to see what season 2 is going to bring to the table especially now that the series has gone to the CW and that it will be on the same channel as Flash and arrow and that there will be a massive crossover with all these shows.

The problem I have with crossover series is that I normally attack one series and then move onto another. It'd be impossible for me to watch all those series and marry them together at the correct times. Does that then make it pointless for me to watch more than one or even any at all?

Well I think these series except for Legends of Tommorrow can stand on their own. You can watch one or the other having just one crossover episode (episode 9 of both arrow and flash last year for example). Of course there will be hints of the other shows on every show but you still can watch them individually if you want to. Of course watching all of them is better but not 100% necessary.

Is Supergirl's special power that she cleans the house really quickly and well?

Actually she can she as super speed so yeah. She isn't as fast as the Flash but pretty fast nonetheless . So in a way it is her superpower

So i have started watching the second season ( i stopped watching the first one because i read too many spoilers). I have to say the first three episodes of season 2 were great mainly because we get to see Superman helping is Cousin saving the city. I was really happy when i saw katie Mcgrath playing Lex Luthor's sister ( i really liked her as Morgana in the British Tv series "Merlin" ). Is she going to be as evil as Morgana? Only time will tell. In this week episode we get to see Lynda Carter (from the old tv show Wonder Woman) and i was very nice watching her again acting.

SPOILER SEASON 2:

Oh my God ! I watched just 3 minutes of this series and I hate. I don't know how explain but I hate. I think it's because there are too much superheroes and power. I didn't like the superheroes series like Heroes or Super girl. For me, too much superheroes kill superheroes. I like superheroes but only in film.

That's funny because my favorite TV series are actually the one with people having supernatural powers: Arrow, DC's Legends of tomorrow, the Flash, Heroes, No Ordinary Family...

I've been watching Arrow since its launch. But I don't hide that I took a break because the series began to annoy me .. And you ?
