"For a long time, I lived for death" says Manwar Ali, a former radical jihadist who participated in violent, armed campains in the middle East and Asia in the 1980s. The man talks in the video about his experience when he was a jihadist. At that time he tought that he was doing the right think as he said:<< I tried to right the wrongs through power and agression. I thought violent jihad was noble, chivalrous and the best way to help>>. After experiencing it he judged that it was a duty for him to come and tell people that THIS idea of jihad is so wrong, jihad is there to help people, to remember them the right path to GOD throuh wisdom and learning. He is not denying that jihad had dark times in history with violence but those were under circonstences and limits and there is no excuse today that can justify violence in jihad. After that he enters in details in his enfance in Bangladesh in witch he experienced horrible things such as the death of 22 of his relatives in horrible ways and this is where his desire of righting the wrong came from. After many years of fighting and witnessing kids and innocent peoples killing each others, he starts to question himself:<<What have i really learned?>>.....Then began his real journey, daring to question himself, to learn, to read and ask questions. Even thought he is agains radicalist people, he believes that they are not that different from everyone and through experience he is sure that "even them can change".

I think he's right in that they are not so different. People are basically the same but it's those minute differencies that make us unique and who we are.
