Serie's title: MERLIN

Hi Mr Cox,
For this topic I will speak about Merlin. I didn't start my topic rather, because I didn't know with series to choose. I don't really like to look at series because watching series bore me over time. But I made efforts and I finally find something. I hope that I will love that because I like fiction with witch, vampire and old story or legend etc... I prefere start with a new serie and I think that this one will please me.
I will post the first episode soon.

Episode 1: The dragon's call

One day, a boy arrived in Camelot just with a backpack. His name is Merlin and he is born with magic power and he never learned to use magic.
Thomas James Collins used magic in Camelot, but a law prohibits the magic using there. So he is killed on the village place at the arrival of Merlin, and he was scare.
Merlin came in Caelot to live with Gaius, the doctor of the kingdom and a Merlin mother's friend, to have better life. When Merlin enter in the Gaius's house, he save him of a fatal fall with magic. So Gaius tell him that he can't use magic in Camelot so he have to stop using it.
The next day, Thomas's mother who was angry because the king killed his son. For her revenge, she take appearance of a king guest a singer, Lady Helene. Merlin without knowing it lack of respect to Arthur, the king son, and he is put in jail for that not for a long moment.
In his sleeping, Merlin hear somebody call him. So he decided to follow the voice in his head. He find a big cage and a dragon in this cage. The dragon tell him that his destiny is to help the prince Arthur to be the biggest king so to be a better man.
The next day, at the party Lady Helene have to sing. So the whitch, use the song to throw a spell and try to kill Arthur. But Merlin save him. To thank him, Arthur's father the king, give a job to Merlin. He have to be the valet of the prince even if he don't like him because he finds him arrogant. He have to work for him.

Episode 2: Valiant
A man enter in a shop to take a magic shield. In the front of this shield you have 3 snakes. And the snake can be alive and do what the man want. His name is Senior Valiant and he come for the Camelot tournament. Merlin, Arthur servant help him to practice for the tournament.
The first day of the tournament after presentation of the fighters. Arthur start the tournament with the first battle and win. The second battle is with Valiant and he win also. The second day, Valiant use his magic shield and the snake bite the man. The man is driven at the Gaïus house and Merlin and Gaïus see the snake bite. To save him they must cook an antidote with the snake venom. Merlin understand that it’s Valiant fault. Merlin spy Valiant the night and he see him give food to his snake. He don’t have proofs so he can’t say that to the king. So during the banquet, Merlin go in the Valiant room and cut a snake head and show it to Arthur. He asks an audience to the king. When Valiant learnt that he say to the snake to go out of the shield and kill the first knight who was bitten. At the audience nobody trust Arthur and Valiant say that he is afraid by the battle. So he dismiss Merlin because he is unhappy.
All the night Merlin search and try magical formula to bring back to life what is in status and he find it. So the final battle, between Arthur and Valiant, he bring back to life snake and everybody see that. Finally Arthur kill Valiant and win the tournament. So Arthur go to the final and biggest banquet with Morgana the pupil of the king.

Episode 3: The mark of Nimueh
A woman is doing magic. She send something in the water basin in front of her. And this thing arrived in the pure water of Camelot.
Gaïus is examining a corpse of a dead man on the road. The corpse is really white like milk and his eyes also. Nobody understand why they are dying. And people die more and more. Guenièvre (Guen) the servant of Morgana bring flowers for her and put it in a vase of water.
A man is dead in the castle, and the king start to be afraid. So say to his song to find the guilty of this epidemic. He and Gaïus also think that it’s magic. But they don’t know for the moment how they catch this disease. So the goal is to find the guilty.
Gaïus search a remedy by examination of the corpse, Merlin what help him with magic. But he can’t because guards look everyone to find the sorcerer. Gaïus find that it’s not a contagious disease and it’s given by water.
The father of Guen is sick and Gaïus have not yet find the cure. So Merlin used a spell and plants to cure the father of Guen. And Arthur think that Guen is sorcerer because she stay with her father and now he is healed. So she is sentenced to death. Merlin and Gaïus go to the water supply basin and take a sample of water. When they turns around, a creature comes out of the water. When they come home, they find that the creature is a “addanc” (a beast of clay, that a very powerful sorcerer can create). The addanc is create with land and water so to kill him they need the two other element, fire and wind. They request the help of Arthur to kill the beast. Arthur Merlin and go to the monster hiding with fire torch. And Merlin with discreet use of magic help Arthur to kill the monster. After his death, the patients beginning to be better. And Gaïus find the shell in which the monster was sent and it have the mark of Nimueh. It is Nimueh the very powerful sorcerer. Camelot must be carefull.

Episode 4: The poisoned chalice
Nimue the powerful sorceress, is unhappy because Merlin caused his plans to fail the last episode. She is doing Magic. She obtains a chalice with something in. This is for Merlin, she wants kill him to kill Arthur.
A king come in Camelot with his delegation to sign a peace treaty with the king of Camelot. For Merlin, Nimue is Kara a maid, she come in Camelot with the king. Kara enter in the bedroom of his king and exchange one chalice with his poisoned chalice.
Ate the party, she said to Merlin that his king want kill Arthur with a poisoned chalice to cause the fall of Camelot. Merlin say that to Arthur in front of everybody. The king said that it’s not a poisoned cup. To prove that he said the truth, Merlin agrees to drink in the chalice. After that Merlin fall. Gaius find in a book, what can save him. But the flower is in a cave keep by a venomous beast. Arthur go alone to look for the flower.
The ill of Merlin increase rapidly. So, Gaius find that a witch use a spell to do that. He thinks that Kara is Nimue. And It is true but she is gone. She puts a trap to Arthur for him to die. In his sleep, Merlin see what happened to Arthur and he helps him with magic to leave the cave.
On his arrival to Camelot, Arthur is put in prison because he disobeyed his father. But Merlin is cured with the flowers and the magic of Gaius. Yes, Gaius used to use magic before the law but nobody knows that.

Episode 5: Lancelot
Merlin is in the forest. He’s picking mushrooms, when a very strange and terrifying creature with body of lion and head of an eagle attacked him. At the good time, a stranger arrived, fight off the monster and help him.
The stranger name is Lancelot. After the battle, Merlin see that Lancelot is injured so he goes with him at Gaius’s house to cure him. The king and Arthur take measures to defend their kingdom against the human flesh-eating monster. Lancelot want be a Camelot’s knight but he is nobles (without title of nobility). While a knight must be a noble. Arthur is recruiting some knight to fight the monster with him at the good time. Merlin lye and to Arthur that Lancelot is noble. He uses magic to does a false certificate of nobility. After that Merlin go to see Gwen with Lancelot to do a knight’s suit.
Lancelot do a test with Arthur to see if he can be knight or not. At the last challenge, Lancelot must fight Arthur. He wins so the king name him knight of Camelot. Gaius does some research about the monster. In the book of myth and legend. The king did some research and learn that the nobility title of Lancelot is false. So he is put in prison.
The monster attacked the kingdom. Arthur and knights must fight him. They discover that neither pointed sharp nor fire can kill him. And after that the monster gone. Gaius learn that the creature is a griffon a magic creature. So he must be killed by magic. The king doesn’t want understand. So Merlin must act discreetly. Lancelot go help Arthur with Merlin. And Merlin use a powerful spell to strengthen the weapon of Lancelot. And he succeeds to kill the monster. Lancelot see Merlin doing magic but he keeps the secret and gone in another land.

Episode 6: A remedy to cure all ills
A man use a spell on a kind of scarab and put it on a flower in a bouquet. The bouquet will be delivered to Morgana without card.
At night, when Morgana sleep, the scarab come on her skin and enter in her hear. Two days later, Morgana is not awake. And Gaius think that her body dies but she is alive. He doesn’t know why. A man want an audience with the king. He is the same man who put insect on the flower. A few days after, Gaius find that she haves an infection on her brain but the remedy is not effective. So the king is accepting to listen the man. The king give a room in the castle to the man, to work and examine patience. He stays alone with Morgana and doing magic to take the scarab. And after Morgana is cure. He says to the king that she had a haemorrhage. Edwin did not want any reward so the king invited him to a dinner with him. Edwin lies on some illness that lady Morgana got in the past. He uses his new influence on the king to discredit Gaius.
Gaius find the real identity of Edwin. He is the son of two witches who were killed by Uter(the king). And now he wants have his revenge. The king trust Edwin and want a new court physician. He dismisses Gaius to take Edwin. Gaius go to see the dragon to have advice about the future of Merlin.
Gaius want leave Camelot, he doesn’t want see Edwin act. To his new job Edwin, give drug to paralyze the king. Like this he can kill him slowly. The king is paralyzing, he can’t speak but he see everything. Gaius came back to stop Edwin. So Edwin try to kill him and Merlin arrived at the good time (always) to stop him. Merlin use magic to cure and out the scarab.

Episode7: The gates of Avalon

Arthur is in water. I think is dead. And we see a girl. It’s a Morgana’s dream. She is wake up and she call him. Arthur is hunting and Merlin push him. They head a girl scream. Arthur comes to the aid of the Lady. He fights them and save a man Aulfric and his daughter Sophia. Arthur comes with them in the castle. They were on the way of their family house. Morgana see Sophia and she remember her dream. She goes to Gaius house to tell him her dream. She afraid that her dream came true. Aulfric goes in the forest to see a man and give to him money. The man is the survivor of the robbers. Aulfric use his magic to kill him. The next night Morgana does the same dream even if she has taken a sleeping pill. Arthur organise a exit with Sophia and his dad don’t know that. He asks to Merlin to lie to the king. Morgana can say to the king that she has premonitory dream because he doesn’t like magic. She wants try to save Arthur alone. Sophia wants bewitch Arthur but she is interrupted by a guard. He believed that Arthur was in danger but Arthur save her again. After that he wants go to home. Gaius enter in the room of Aulfric and he see the baton.
Arthur falls in love with Sophia. Sophia tells what happened to her father. Their goal is to find their true appearance. We don’t know for the moment what it is. Morgana try to warn Arthur of the danger Sophia represents but he doesn’t want listen her. Arthur goes again with Sophia without permission of his father. She succeeds this time. Arthur is bewitching.
Gaius tells to Merlin what he thinks. Merlin follow Aulfric heading towards the river. He wants speak with the elders of the Sidh. Aulfric and Sophia is Sidh but Aulfric kill somebody so his punishment is to live a mortal life. But he wants save Sophia to the death so they must kill a prince. After his death Sophia will be again Sidh and immortal. At the night, Sophia and Aulfric take Arthur and go to the river. Morgana see them and goes to prevent Gaius. Sophia leads Arthur into the water to kill him. Merlin arrive and save him before he kills Sophia and Aulfric.
