Re: Week 2 discussion - music
I lived 80's music, so yeah I love it too.
Saw U2 a few times in the early years:
and the police (Sting in Cognac a few years ago too)
not TOTO - nice song though.
what about Ultravox:
or a bit of Dire Straits

I've never seen a show in my life... Except the "Star Academy" when I was young (5 years old...), LOL !
You are so lucky !
I dream to go to see a show like Beyoncé, or Ed Sheran !

Hey,
Personally I listen to everything and i don't really have favorite singer even if i love Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Indochine, music of the 80's/90's etc .. I love music that can be danced ! However, i hate hardcore, hardrock .. too aggresive music

I cant' do one day without music. I listen everything but in my old car I have still cassette player so I can listen radio, and I prefer music of earlier years like of our parents! Otherwise, nowadays Coldplay or Imagine Dragon ("Thunder" is the last one of you want to heard) could be a style that I like. But I don't have one style in particular.

Since I'm new on this forum I can only comment but can't share a link... So sad.
Well if you're curious enough just check this on Youtube:
A la Memoria del Muerto - Fruko & sus Tesos
This song is brought to you crossing borders mexican way... In some bar in Mexico, this is what goes through the speaker. It's columbian, not mexican but still good though (nice dog by the way)

My favorite song is « Toccata and fugue in D minor », is a song by Jean Sébastien Bach. That song représante a création of the world and bring to life in the earth. That son représant god during the création.
The partition is in 2 parties, The first part represents the passage from nothingness to creation and the second part is more connected with the creation of life.
If not concerning a song I actually like “Lean On” of Majer Lazer. Because I like the mixture of 2 types of music, the Indian one and the other more dancing.

I love the Bach song you shared, do you play piano or something?
One of my favorite classic music is Valse op 64 n°2 by Chopin. I don't know anything about what it means (if it means anything) but I don't know, it just feels right.

I like the toccata too. Here's a bit of Progressive Rock with church organ - pretty cool:

I like international great singers like Coldplay, Major Lazer or Zara Larsson …but I think we have also some good French singers ! Personally i like Soprano, a singer from Marseille who writtes a lot of sings to defend a cause or to denounce something. It’s the case of probably his most popular sing « Cosmo ». A sing to say no to racism and live together.

Re: Week 2 discussion - music
Hmm lots of good musics here!
I like almost all kind of musics, I listen different music depending of my activity : especially american song when i'm doing sports or when i need motivation (Macklmore, Dr Dre , Black Eyed Peas, Kanyewest...), classical music when i need to be concentrated or relaxed (Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Chopin...)
I love slam (Grand Corp Malade or Gaël Faye), & good french music like renaud.
I recently discover Ryles, a french guy who sing in english, and Maxenss, who sing special french music (really special).
Have a nice week !

Re: Week 2 discussion - music
Can't imagine my life without music! I think, if you leave a person alone in a room with a loud music, you can find out what he really is
As for me, I always listen to music when I am walking in the street. Atmosphere changes immediately and life becomes more beautiful, hahahaha....but real energy can only be felt at the concert. It's really perfect.
I also think that music can connect hearts and bring people closer. The best feeling is when you find someone, who has the same tastes as you.
To be honest, I'm delighted with people who can play a musical instrument. That's really cool. God, I wish I knew how to play the piano. I think, I will definitely go to piano classes one day:)
Music groups I prefer: Fifth Harmony, Maroon5, One republic, Imagine dragons... And I also love music of Enrique Iglesias, Ellie Goulding, Rihanna... I can go on still the end... hahaha:))
Oh, mr. John, I watched a movie that was based on a group concerning "Pink Floyd''. Movie title is ''The Wall". I remembered it, when you shared a music link from You Tube. I found this movie a little bit strange, but that allows to understand the inner world and difficult life of Pink Floyd.

I agree it was a bit weird but the music was great.
I don't really like to see people listening to music when they are walking down the street. I miss the simple fact of a "hello" when you pass them and if anything I think it makes the world less beautiful. Listen to the music of nature and man instead.
I love listening to the sea and the animals.

Nowadays you can wave at someone with his earphone on and he will answer you if he want to. And in a city of the size of Poitiers, you will be considered as a weirdo if you say Hi to everybody in the street

Are you inferring that I may be a weirdo?
