Desperate Housewives

Hi everyone ! 
I choose the series Desperate Housewives, I know it is quite classical but I think Desperate Housewives is one of the best series in the world ! I don't watch a lot of series because I don't have a lot of time and there is so many choice so I don't know where to start! I prefer realist series than fantastic series. I love Desperate Housewives because it depicts scenes from everyday reality that everyone can live. Everyone can recognize themselves in one or many characters of the series, and that's the main goal of a series.
Synopsis of Desperate Housewives :
The scene takes place in a fictional residential quarter called Wisteria Lane, everything looks perfect but this is only in appearance. In the pilot, we can see Marie Alice, one of the main character who suicide everyone in Wisteria Lane wants to know what happened. The main characters are Gabrielle, Lynette, Bree, Susan and Edie, a group of friend. The series tells the story of everyone in Wisteria Lane and the secrets of everyone, there is a lot of suspense. Marie Alice is the voice off in the series. The series released in 2004 and there are 9 seasons. Actually the series is over. At the moment, I'm watching Desperate Housewives on M6 haha.

Best series ever 
Despite all the seasons the series has been able to invent new stories with often new characters but also with the main ones.
I was sad when I learned that it stops and of course when an important character die, I will not say which but many people must know ..

Hi Fanny !
This series is great! I do not get tired of the stories of Wisteria Lane, the characters are charismatic and endearing. I love the character of Gabi, who is funny and full of life. However, the episode where Mike died is just too sad.

I agree with you Virginie, it is the best series for me ! Yeah even if there are 8 seasons it could be boring but it's not!
My favorite character is Susan. She is really clumsy and funny at the same time. Which one is your favorite ?

I totaly agree with you girls ! I love this series and like you Fanny I often look the episodes on M6 even if I already know them...

I like this serie when I was young, I was always front of my TV to see an episode.
My sister can't be stop to watch this series ; the last time, she had a marathon during a week to see a lot of episode. She is crazy..!

My mother and I were watching this serie frequently. And, to be honest, I enjoyed it. It was full of great intrigues and good characters.
My favourite was Bree Van de Kamp, because she has a true evolution through the serie and liberated herself. Susan was boring me, with her "Miiiiike <3 XOXO".

Desperate Housewives is one of the first series I've watched. I used to watch it with my mother and we both love it.
I've enjoyed all the plots of the series. Also, actresses are really good. My favorite caracter is Bree and, like you Clement, I hate Susan. She's so dramatic (I never understood how the hell could Mike be in love with her!!!) and she's always crying. Bree is a strong woman, with values and loyalty to her friends and I loved the way she deals with "issues".

I found that serie so funny and so addictive!! All the characters play well! My favourite ones is Cabrielle and Bree, I don't exactly why it's just like this! However I found Susan too cheesy with her boyfriend Mike , buttt she's still great!
The end is weird I don't want to spoil but everything stops it is like we followed the characters during a long time and then they just disappeared and moved somewhere else! But it's great that the producers put down the serie, otherwise it would be too much seasons.

My favorite character is Lynette ! I don't know in what way she arrives to bring up all her children !
But, I find ... it is just the first season which is very good...we don't arrive to keep the suspense and the surprise of the beginning during the other season.

I'm crazy about this series. I've watched it during my first year at the university. So for 2 months, I've watches de 8 seasons... every episode gave me the desire to watch another episode. I was fond of the characters despite the fact that I known they doesn't really existed.
This series succeeded to do an interesting storyline during the 8 seasons, and it's very rare to do it. I recommand it !
Bree and Gabriela are my favs !! They are so funny ! Moreover I very appreciate how the character of Bree evolve during the 8 seasons. Frome the religious woman with manners to the independant woman with no fear !
