The Leftovers

Hi,
I will talk about the first season of the TV show "The Leftovers". The main actors are Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman and Christopher Eccleston.

On the first episode of the first season of The Leftovers, we learn that 2% of the population have disappear 2 years before the beginning of the series. They have disappear without any rational explanation.
We make acquaintance with the characters of the series. The main character is a policeman : Kevin Garvey. His wife, Laurie has joined a group of people (called the "GR") which decided to drop out from the society after the event 2 years ago. People in this group, which looks like a sect, wear white clothes and smoke cigarettes. They never talk with anyone or with one another.
They have a daughter : Gil who lives with his father. It seems that they have a complicated relationship and a son (Tom) but we don't have much explanations about him but it seems that he works for a very strange man.

Kevin Garvey has to prepare the security of the citizens of Mappleton because the commemoration of the disaster is coming soon ...

On the second episode, Tom leave the city in order to protect a girl that "worked" for his former boss. That happened after a police operation led by Tom's father which aim was stopping Tom's former boss because he was accused of corruption of a minor.
After this, Kevin decide to search a guy that he met in the first episode who kill the wandering dogs of Mappleton (?!). This guy looks very very strange and crazy.
In the GR organisation, Laurie is receiving a new member : Meg (she will be very important in the next seasons).
We also discover the character of Nora, she is followed by Gil a friend of her because she has a gun in her bag.

On the third episode, we discover another important character : Matt.
He is a priest in Mappleton but he's got less and less sympathizer. The church is also facing money problems and the banker announce that someone wants to buy the church (I didn't know that someone could buy a church in the USA). So even though this character is passionate, he is in trouble.
