Episode 11 of Grey's Anatomy is centered around Miranda Bailey, the chef of surgery at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Victim of a heart attack, we found she at the Seattle Presbitarian Hospital where male doctors refuse to diagnose a heart attack, despite Bailey's arguments. The episode not only tells the story of Miranda's tragedy, but also a larger problem that thousands of women are experiencing. Not only the signs of a heart attack are differents for men and women, but doctors tend to reduce women's symptoms to a purely psychological and emotional cause. Miranda must speak to a psychiatrist. Only after feeling uncomfortable she is taken seriously. The episode throws us flashbacks of the Miranda Bailey's life that allow us to learn more about this character who we love and respect for 14 seasons.
