Homework:

Next week in groups of 3 you must present a new product or service in front of the class. The product or service cannot exist at the moment, it can be realistic or not but you must explain what it is, how it works, what it is made of and who your target is along with cost and sales projections. The presentation can use models, drawings or powerpoint and should last between about 12 minutes per group.

The presentation will count towards your participation mark for this semester (5 out of 20).

Oral Expression Mark:

Your Oral presentation mark for this semester is going to be based on a “how to” video that you are going to create and publish. You must upload your video to “youtube” (private viewing not public) by midnight on Sunday 17 March 2019 but you can upload it anytime before then - so no excuses about having a busy week or being ill or anything else.

You can choose the subject of your video (anything except cooking) but it must be a “how to” video. It can be serious or funny or a mixture of both. It should be between 4 and 5 minutes in length. You can work in a pair 8-10 minutes.

You will be marked predominantly on your English but there will be a part of the mark given for the interest of your video presentation. You must appear on the video but you can also use other people. I will be listening to the form of your English and the vocabulary used. The rhythm and flow of your speech is very important but most important is its comprehensibility.
