Hi John,

I create a new topic because I have questions about grammar rules. I hope to help others people that me.

I have questions about how to conjugate the verb after didn't/don't and when you use : same/even?

Thanks you Jonh to answer. Very Happy

Hey clothilde,

didn't and don't are both negative forms of a verb. the first for the past simple and the second for the present simple. In most cases they are followed by the infinitive root e.g. didn't sleep, don't sleep, didn't eat, don't see etc... (remember it's not the same for the verb to be or modals).

Same is used when you want to say "identical" e.g. he has the same car as me, she has the same problems as me; we live in the same house.
Even means "level" I'm even with him - not ahead or behind; the ground is even - it's flat.

Did that help?
