leaning towers
A few years ago I went to Italy with my family and we were able to get close to the tower of pisa. This famous tower tilted 3.59 degrees to the south
Appearing very quickly during its construction, because it was built on an alluvial plain, this defect is due either to a foundation defect or to a subsidence of land due to a rock: the marl.
In la rochelle for some time, the saint-nicolas tower is closed to the public for the same reason. This tower was built in mud but on stilts. Engineers are on the move and looking for a way to straighten it out
