Week 4 - Online bullying
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-48692953
Online bullying is a modern day problem. How is it different from face to face bullying? Is it limited to school children? What suggestions do you have to stop it? How should it be punished?

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
I think online bullying is as bad as face to face bullying or even worse because when you go to school and get bullyied you know you can get off it when you go home but with online nullying it never stops because you can get bullyied ata any time. it is not only between school children because when i go to twitter for example i see adults bullying each other, i think we can not stop it but we can stop some of them by denouncing the persons onlinen and depending on how serious it is it should be punished

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Online bullying is a big problem today. Because with all the social network today, online bullying is very hard. Because contrary to the face to face bullying, the online bullying never stop. It can be the afternoon like the faca to face bullying but et can continue the evening, and for that is very hard. to stop this, we can control, the phone and the computer of the children. And if they continue we have to give a big punishment.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Online bullying is different from face to face bullying because here, we don't know that there is on the other side (phackers, pirates...) or this is someone wants to hurt us for a revenge. Isn't it limited to school children and affects anyone for sure (even if most often this concerns children).
There are many ways to stop that, to talk about, file a complaint but not to do anything. It should be punished very severely and very expensive because it is a problem that can leave a psychological consequences.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
The online bullying is different to the bullying because this one pass to the new technologies as the computer, smartphones. The bully insults, threat the victimes in secondary way, in other words he exercises his power of bully behind a screen, whereas the "normal" bullying si face to face the victim.
This bullying is not limited to the school, he can take part at home, every where, a public place...
To stop this phenomenon, we can pass by the education of children, with awareness campaign same with the adults/parents. The bullying can be punish with a fine or pass a sojourn in prison.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
This subject is a real problem today because it could affect everybody. This is not different from face to face bullying in the sense that it hurts the person. But it's true that it's also different because online bullying can do it everywere on internet or social networks. Unfortunetely is not limited at schools and touch childrens and adults. For me it's a question of "good sense", if you don't like something you do not have to do it to someone so we shouldn't not even look for solutions to solve problems but rather seek to educate our childrens and our society.
It should be punished very severely because it could be very dangerous for people who suffer this from naughty and very stupid people.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Hi Jhon ! Online bullying is one of the worst thing nowadays, because today you have to be in the standars. And by internet, people who don't know anything about you can write whatever he want. Sometimes as school, some people makes groups or only one person send messages with few identity to only one person which finished sometimes in self-murder. When it's face to face bullying, it is different because if you decide to speak about it with somebody, this persons should go to speak to the bad-guy. And many people are not brave enough to do face to face bullying because it's easier to do it online behind a computer.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Hello, so today we have to talk about « Online bullying »… Firstly, this is not really different to from face to face bullying about the psychological impact on children however the way that informations spread out may be much serious.
Then, school isn’t the only to be subject to these events, we find these behaviours inside corporation or whatever people’s association.
In my opinion we can’t stop this movement cause that is a recurent society happening, we should insist on the ways to protect yourself and to improve our online habilities.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Indeed, online bullying is a modern problem because social networks are nowadays the best way to express themselves on different topics. This is different from a bullying in front of your face because behind your computer you can tell what you want without being afraid of being abused. Some people feel more powerful behind a computer. It's like they have a mask.
For me, it would be necessary that the people who do this kind of thing be punished directly by the law of a almond or even more according to the gravity of the act.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Hello,
Online bullying is a modern problem because new technologies are at the heart of conflict. The difference between in-person bullying is that harassing online bullying hides behind a screen. Online bullying affects everyone, whether they are children or adults. In order to stop harassment, I think we should denounce him and confront his attacker despite the fact that it is difficult. I think harassment should be dealt with very severely.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Online bullying is a big problem today because people are having fun stealing or scamming behind their computer screens but they would never do it in face to face.
It's not only young people who are victims of this, but the whole of society is the victim of it. These people blackmail her to pay for them.
I think they aren't often found but they should go to jail.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Personally, I think that online bullying is very serious because it can lead to serious consequences. This is why access to social networks must be limited especially for young people. It's a real parental job to protect their children because bullying online is often experienced by young people. Maybe it should be harden laws, or have better control of the Internet to avoid this phenomenon. Indeed some people hide behind pseudos to intimidate some people. It is abnormal to be able to remain anonymous and to be protected.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Cyberbullying is a form of harassment conducted through various digital channels. It can take different forms, such as creating fake profiles, spreading unfounded rumors or sending insults messages. Cyberbullying and traditional harassment have many things in common.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
The cyber-bullying is to more present with the new technologics and social network that develops. Fot the stalkers it's easier to insultthe people because he is hidden and he does not show his face. He can stay hidden. Sadly isn't limited to school children, also in high school student. The best persons to stop that, to help harrased people's are his parents beacause we can talk abou with them without being judged. It's also the work to teachers because this problems happen in high school.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
To me bullying online is way worse and dangerous than face to face one. Let me explain my point of view. First of all online you can send messages with an anonymous account so nobody recognise you if you insult or threat someone and this way you’ll never be punished for what you’ve done. The person you make suffer has no way to defend oneself. Secondly, bullying online never stop. Bullying face to face stops whenever you’re not at work/school, online one can continue once you’re home, on holiday, on weekend...

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
I never see someone who was bullied , maybe is it so hard to live that they keep its for himself.
I mean cyberbullying it's really hard to live you can do nothing, you don't know who is bullying yourself.
I don't know why but some people do that for the pleasure, some people do that for the fame maybe like face bullying.
But some people do it for the money...

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Bullying online is a big problem nowadays. This is a very serious thing, however it is as serious as face-to-face bullying. Because I think that face-to-face bullying is the bullying that precedes online bullying. For example, a bullying person at school can continue to be bullying at night on his computer or his smartphone. This is not just about children, there are also concerned adults like at work. It can never stop, there will always be someone to start over.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Online bullying is alive and well because of the evolution of digital and technology in general. I think online bullying is different from in-person bullying because it allows you to "hide" to avoid confrontation. It is not just for children but for all people who use the digital object. To stop that, specialized people would have to be hired to deal with this kind of problem. They should be punished by penalties that can be more hard.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Online bullying is a modern topic because today we all have phones and computers. The difference is that bullying is done behind a screen and the man feels "stronger". The words are harder.
Everyone with access to screens can practice bullying online. And escaping intimidation is also complicated. To stop it is possible through prevention and punishment at the height of the acts.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Hi John,
Online bullying is a modern problem. Today, because of all the new technologies like phones and computers there is a lot of bullying online. This online bullying is different from face-to-face bullying because there is no direct contact between people so whoever is behind their phone has no limit and can do whatever they want.
This bullying is not just related to schoolchildren, although there are a lot of it in the breasts of schools.
To stop that, I think it involves education and prevention.
Finally, this type of intimidation must be punished by law by heavy almonds, for example.

topic 4 online bullying
online bullying is a crime punishable by law. Indeed, cyber-harassment is increasingly present with new technologies and it is practiced more and more young. Contrary to what have have may think cyber harassment is just as violent , perhaps even more violent than face-to-face harassment because being behind a screen can give the feeling of being untouchable and this can lead to even more talk hurtful. It is to be hoped that the authorities will ensure that online bullying is reduced. online bullying should be punished with imprisonment

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Hi John,
Online bullying is a very common act these days. It's something complicated, things written on the networks are like words said, they affect just as much, and it can have as many consequences as school bullying or other bullying. There are several kinds of online harassment, there are of course insults etc. . . . but also people who pretend to be others and who put young naive people at risk. Despite everything, networks are trying to set up security systems to fight online bullying.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
it's a problem that's becoming more and more common, because the generalization is evolving and technology too. with new technology it's easier to hack other device, and people get stronger and stronger for that. it's a very big problem of this generation that should sanction if possible.a lot of people have become unhappy because of it.

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
the online bullying is different from face bullying because in the first case the perpetrator is behind a screen and can do so anonymously. In addition, with the use of social networks, bullying is growing.
unfortunately, this can happen to everyone, no one is immune from this
I don’t really have a solution to stop it because there will always be someone who will bully, but it should be heavily punished by the law!

Re: Week 4 - Online bullying
Unfortunately online bullying is a phenomenon in expansion with social network and free acces on internet for children.
To limit online bullying I think we have to do more prevention at school because the main victim of this phenomenon is young people. We need to talk more with them to know early this kind of problem because sometimes, that begins with one word and that finish with one death.. and after we can just said: "if we had known..."
