Project Iceman is not a competition, is not a race, it's just a project for an ordinary guy who wants achieve the extroardinary. It's a triathlon with 3,9 Km swimming, 180 Km cycling and 42.2 km running. The objectif was an evenement about climate change and the vulnerable nature of the Antarctic environment, but an personal goal also. Go beyond one's limits.

The iceman project is the realization of a triathlon with 4 kms of swimming, 180 kms of bike and 42.2 kms of running. This is not a competition but just a personal project to go beyond its limits. This project is taking place in Antarctica. Anders Hofman is therefore trained in the cold to get used to it and to manage to withstand extreme temperatures in order to pass his test.

The Project Iceman is a long distance triathlon in Antartica. It took place in february 2020 and his goal was to permit of all people to achieve their dreams. The creator want to change the limitations of barriers who prevent us to achieve dreams and i think that is beautifull. This is not an official race or competition but just a challenge achieve by one guy in february 2020 in Antartica, one guy who achieving swimming 3.9km in ice water, biking 180km and running 42.2km in ice and snow at the surface of Antartica. This expedition was filmed for a documentary. This journey completed by the Iceman helps show people that even the wildest dreams can be made.

If I understood this little documentary correctly; a man who ran a marathon in Antarctica????? He ran in the cold and swam in the icy water. I am in admiration of this man. Already when I go to school at 8 o'clock in the winter I feel like I'm going to lose my fingers but he must be mentally and physically strong.

What is the Iceman Project? The Iceman Project is a triathlon on a very long distance in Antartica. It was held in February 2020 (just before lockdown 😭😭 ). It is not an official competition, but just a challenge for one person. The man managed to swim 3.9 kilometers in the icy water, to travel 180 kilometers by bike but crazy as he is, he ran about 42 kilometers on the ice and in the snow on the surface of Antarctica. This expedition was filmed to create a documentary about the exploits that are being made today. This trip showed people that even the wildest dreams are achievable.

Iceman it's the crazy project of the first longue distance triatlon wich takes place in antartic, create and realize by Anders Hofman and his team . After weeks of preparation and a lot of training in real conditions like in norway in the cold and the snow, Anders was ready to make his dream come true. In one day he covered a total of 225 km, all this while swimming, pedaling and running in icy water and soft snow. Just WOW !

this race is a challenge and not a race it's objective is to prove what the humain body is capable of, an ironman is known as one of the most gruelling races ever challenging people to there limites by making them race three different sports one after the other with no break (3.8km swim, 180km bike and to finish 42 km run so a marathon). The iceman is next level hard as everything is at freezing temperatures, even for me a triathlete who dreams of doing an ironman I could never do the iceman.

The coveted Ironman Challenge is one of the most challenging one-day sporting events in the world. One of a series of long-distance triathlon races organized by the World Triathlon Corporation, an Ironman includes a 3.86 km swim race, a 180.25 km bike ride and a 42.2 km run in a day. It is thus a very physical test that requires a very great mental strength!

February 2, 2020 surely took place the hardest race in the world. It is an ironman triathlon in antartica or more precisely in Cape Legoupil in the west of the antartica. This race must be a challenge for each participant, but it is not for everyone because people must be used to this temperature and this is supervised by professionals in this environment. The race begins with 3.9 km of swimming in water at -0.6 well 180 km of cycling on ice to finish with a marathon in outdoor temperatures varying from -5 to -15 degrees. This race is not a competition but a simple individual challenge

this race is more of a personal challenge than a competition. it must be the toughest race in the world, already an ironman is very tough with very long distances, doing that in Antarctica with these weather conditions is crazy. runners must do 3.8km in freezing water, 180km cycling on ice and finish with a marathon, that is 42km, with a temperature of -15 degrees, few people could do that. This race allows runners to surpass themselves, and to show what the human body is capable of.

But I also findthis is very dangerous because the human body is not made to overvirvre in such cold places despite the sicentific progress.

The goal of the Iceman project is simple. Anders Hofman was looking to become the first human to complete an Ironman, that is swim3.9 km, a 180 km bike stage and ultimately a marathon (42km) in the continent least suitable for such a feat: Antarctica. He completed this performance in 73 hours with breaks in order to eat and sleep.

The Ironman Antarctic project is a triathlon with 4 kms of swimming, 180 kms of cycling and 42.2 kms of running. It's not necessarily a race but more of a project to prove your limits and surpass yourself physically.
I respect the people who do it because already a classic triathlon is very difficult physically so in the cold it must be worse.

The ironman is the test of all extremes and causes exceptional difficulties. So doing this race in Antarctica goes beyond competition, it's a challenge, even a threat to the human body. Runners must complete 3.8 km in icy water, 180 km on an ice bike, and finish in a marathon - 42 km. The iceman may be able to withstand extreme temperatures. During this race, the man takes a lot of risks on his health and surpasses his limits.
Most of the time, the importance is not the time, except for the greatest of the discipline, but to finish this race.

The Antarctic Iroman isn't a competition or a race. It's a project sportif for every triathlete it's was a hard parcours with 3.8 km in icy water, 180 km on an ice bike, and finish in a marathon - 42 km . But it's very dangerous given the climatic circumstances. The mostimportant it's the finish the Ironman not the time

I didn't know this existed until today. The Antarctic Ironman must be one of the most difficult things to achieve as a human being. Classic ironmans are already so tough so I would imagine this being almost impossible. Runners must swim 3.8km in ice water, then cycle 180km on an ice bike and finally finish on a 42km marathon. So it's not actually a race, the most important thing is to finish the race alive because it has many impacts on the human body.
