Today I listened to several podcasts on sport in general to familiarise myself with English vocabulary related to sport.
I will gradually try to watch several podcasts of things I am passionate about or interested in in English.
Of course for the beginning I put the subtitles in French and I do the same for American or other language films and series.
For watching several explanations of many different subjects such as sports, nature or other topics of life.
I find that the analyses in English are more relevant but this is also due to the number of people in the world who speak in English. Because worldwide we have many more explanations in English because France is a small part of the world and English is a global language.
I also read various articles in English which interest me because of the number of articles that there are, most of them as well as the podcasts are obviously made by people of another nationality.
So today I immersed myself in the importance of speaking English and how to learn English intelligently in order to have a maximum of vocabulary in several domains because it is on this subject that I must progress.

Hello John, on this rainy Sunday I continued my method of listening to English podcasts on a more or less daily basis.
I was also particularly interested in the revision of anatomy so with the vocabulary in French and also in English to make links.
After that, I did several sessions to strengthen this or that part of the body and the goal was to explain each exercise in English.
I did the session with the names of the exercises in English following a certain logic.
Afterwards I pretended that there was someone in front of me who didn't know my session and the exercises.
The aim was to explain the exercise itself, the muscle it works and to try to speak as fluently as possible.
I had my computer on hand to help me with the vocabulary.
Here is the work I did today.

Hello John,
Today I have decided to talk to you about weightlifting which is my speciality this year.
Why did I choose it and why am I interested in it?
At the beginning of the year I was in the APAS programme and there were no specialities.
I changed my course because the ES course was really related to what I want to do and was more suited to me.
So I had to choose two specialities in ES, I took the ones that are the basis of physical preparation for any sport.
The strength training that can be adapted to any sport and weightlifting because at a high level, in the preparation phase of an athlete.
In a lot of sports, weightlifting is an essential point, an obligatory passage at a certain point in the physical preparation cycle of an athlete.
At the beginning I had chosen it because I wanted to discover this sport practice and afterwards we were explained the importance of weightlifting in the job of physical trainer.
In addition to being two movements that are super technical, weightlifting is the sport that develops par excellence explosiveness and power then mobility and coordination (proprioception too), whether it is at the level of the lower or upper limbs of the body.
In weightlifting you can dissociate the movements into several exercises to improve more technical parts of others.
And one works the whole body.
In many sports such as rugby, football, athletics, swimming, tennis and many others, you need to be very explosive at certain moments (disciplines or short actions with intense effort).
I was therefore interested in why weightlifting was an essential practice in a physical preparation and therefore I learned the qualities that it develops for my personal practice so that I could train myself on the theory but also on the field so that afterwards I could teach athletes during a cycle of their physical preparation.

Hello John,
Today I wanted to talk to you about the second speciality which is the same for all the ES.
It is bodybuilding, whether it is with body weight or with weights, it is used in everyday life and in many fields.
When people hear about bodybuilding, they think directly of bodybuilding.
In reality, bodybuilding is used in the medical world to re-educate, treat or even used before an operation to recover more quickly afterwards thanks to the muscular memory.
Bodybuilding can be practiced at any age and is adaptable to any sport or simply to everyday life.
Today, with the advent of science, bodybuilding has become a worldwide phenomenon because, as previously mentioned, it allows us to provide physical benefits linked in part to health over a long period of time.
For me it can be very dangerous for health with or without weight if we don't master the scientific knowledge that allows us to know how we do this or that movement and above all to know why we do it and what will bring us positive benefits afterwards.
The medical field which has developed a lot is that of osteopaths, physiotherapists, chiropractors and other more specific professions which have an impact on the human body.
Every year we discover new things to be done on the human body with science, often these things demonstrate truths that everyone believed to be false or even new axes to approach in order to make progress.
All this to say that the field of bodybuilding when you look at it more closely is much more interesting and much wider than most people think.

Hello John,
Today I'm going to talk to you about my vision of sport in general.
In my opinion, sport allows you to release nervous tension and stress, but also to blossom by setting goals to achieve. Everyone sees sport in his or her own way, for others, a sportsman or woman is someone who has no life, who does everything for sport and who is not social, who has no brain, while for others, a sportsman or woman is someone who is open-minded and who uses sport to open up to others.
Sport is, in my opinion, a way of life, a way of seeing or approaching things as they come.
Apart from the field of sport as well as art in general, having one or more activities in life is essential to clear your head and be able to concentrate on yourself.
Sport is one of the activities that participate in this and allows you to have a certain freedom to do, to think.
In life, most of the daily things such as work, daily tasks at home or the multiple information we receive, do not allow us to be ourselves one hundred percent.
Each person behind their physical appearance is unique and must be able to express themselves physically and mentally, especially during the activities mentioned above.
People can express themselves through competition, through learning new sports skills, through their hobbies or even their passions.
There is a wide range of possibilities concerning the freedom to express oneself by doing something one likes.
It is important to always keep this in mind as it is our guideline to everyone.
Whenever we encounter obstacles in life, if we practice activities, we will have already encountered more or less similar obstacles and this will help us to overcome any constraints.
Sport allows a permanent questioning which is a great quality to move forward in life.

Hello sir,
On this Friday of confinement, I address the subject of food and sleep.
There are several people who have told me many times, I understand why I am not in shape, I feel diminished on the energetic and mental level.
With the recent scientific studies on diet, especially the association of this one with sport, it was of great importance.
Diet is very varied and this is something that many people forget. Whether it is for weight loss, muscle gain or simply to have energy, what we eat is often the cause.
I am very sporty by nature and sport is my passion, understanding why we do this or that movement and how we do it is essential!
For me, we must approach each area in the same way, why we want to do it or for what purpose and if we do it, how to do it well and in a simple and efficient way.
Nutrition illustrates exactly that, you have to think before you act without taking your head off. We learn about food, what is more or less good in terms of energy intake, more or less calories, more or less sweetness, etc ...
The goal is to have a palette of knowledge that allows us to not get into a headache and to simply enjoy ourselves, to be in the physical shape we want, to be in good health and to be full of energy.
In life, if we learn correctly about what we want to know and use it intelligently, we can succeed in changing things or improving them.

Hello sir,
Yesterday I forgot to post my English work at home.
So I wanted to share it with you.
My girlfriend is studying Applied Foreign Languages at the University of La Rochelle. She is learning English, Portuguese and Spanish.
So I had the idea to talk about ecology on the preservation of the ocean, it's a subject we both love.
Our little debate lasted 30 minutes and after that she explained to me how to speak fluently and without searching my words.

Hello again sir,
Today, following yesterday's debate with my girlfriend where she chose the theme of the conversation, I had the idea to continue the activity but this time on another subject about travels.
It's a vast subject that reveal the personality of each person, the goal is to choose 3 destinations each and to say arguments that explain why one chooses this or that destination.
I chose Australia, Tanzania and Thailand, she chose Australia, the United States and New Zealand.
This allowed me to discover a new vocabulary and to familiarize myself with it.
This playful way of learning English is, in my opinion, productive and therefore allows me to progress without it being an obligation but rather a pleasure.

Hello John,
Today I would like to talk to you about a practice that I am currently setting up in addition to weightlifting, running (sprint), street workout and weight training with crops in general. This practice is more or less known as Parkour or the art of movement. It consists of moving with great agility in the urban or natural environment for the primal parkour. I have started to try primal parkour in the forest, so I climb trees, use nature for sport and I love it. In addition, I go barefoot to strengthen my arch and this allows me to be in contact with nature.

Hello John,
This week I have been thinking about my goals regarding sport. I have a guideline in my training to plan my sessions and the aim is to vary them as much as possible to be as complete as possible physically. You have to combine performance and functionality in different environments by trying to modify your daily life because human beings are made to adapt according to me. In today's society, we are sedentary with habits, if something different happens we lose our bearings. What I do in my sports training serves me in life because the key word is adaptation. Many people have forgotten this. If we put ourselves in a situation of discomfort we will succeed in adapting and have a more optimal capacity to adapt.

Hello John,
Today I'm going to talk to you about climbing. I find that this sport is perfect for developing agility, arm and finger strength and self-confidence.
Climbing shows different aspects such as speed, bouldering, indoor and outdoor climbing that brings us closer to nature. This practice teaches us to trust the belayer and the safety equipment.
It is a mental barrier that I admire people who climb to heights that exceed the limits that man is capable of doing. Personally, my goal is to improve my climbing skills, to develop my grip and therefore my finger strength, and also to reconnect with nature, which calms the mind and allows you to be truly yourself.

Hello John,
Today I would like to talk about disability.
In connection with my post on the topic of the week which is health.
I think it's important that disability exists.
From the point of view of integration in society, from a human relations point of view.
Sport socialises and very often people with a disability are sidelined when they are like everyone else.
More and more, sport is developing around the world and events are taking place that bring healthy athletes to compete with disabled athletes.
I think this is wonderful in terms of mentality.
I hope it will continue in the future.
