white men can't jump

white men can't jump is one of my favourite movie (not the only, i love a lot of movies). it was realized by Ron Shelton in 1992, with two principals actors: Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson. First, the beginning of this movie is great, because the story goes in California, in the famous playground of Venice Beach. The music was very good throughout the movie (fot me, a good movie is follow by a very nice music). the story is funny, it's the meeting of 2 street basketball player: sidney dean (Wesley Snipes) a black man, and Billy Hoyle (Woody Harrelson) a white man. after they challenged, they are jioned to make a team. it's the not real games, it's 2 versus 2 in a half-court. money is bet on every game, and sydney and billy love the money. they beat all the bigs players near them, but they loose a big game with a lot of money for the winners. in parallel, Billy is wanted by a gang of latino-americans, because of money problems. his girlfriend monica is really angry, and she lefts him. in a tournament, billy and sydney win a lot of money, but just after, billy loose his money in a bet with sydney (the bet is that billy has 3 attempts to dunk, but he don't realize it). sydney says that white men can't jump!!
in the Venice Beach playground, the stars are 2 players: the king and the Duke. at the end of the film, a rumor that the king and the duke returned to town and played against everybody who wants to play. it's a big occasion fot Billy and Sydney to win a lot of money, and to prove they are the best in town. they play against the king and the duke, and in the ultimate seconds, Sydney pass the ball to Billy, and he dunks it!
i love this film because the style of the 90's was really fun, and the expression of the characters are hilarous. it's a great film who talks about basketball, with a touch of dramatic with billy's money and wife problems.
