In the night from Saturday to Sunday, a huge storm broke near Nice. There have been water equivalent of one rainy months (as of October, November) but in 2h ! The people were not ready, so the provisional balance sheet is impressive: 16 dead and 4 missing.
I find that the severe weathers are increasingly frequencies in France.

Yeah, it was terrible - but the headline on the sud-Ouest was - Bye Bye England!
