Empire first season

I will present you the BEST series in the world ahah Empire.

This series take place in the musical industry especially the RAP and R&B industry.
The series turn around the Lyon's family and the Empire entertainment.
One day Lucious Lyon learns he as ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), a disease.
Lucious, looking to groom one of his three sons Andre, Jamal, and Hakeem to take over the family business, pits them against each other.
In the same time the Lucious's ex-wife who is released from prison after serving a 17-year sentence wants recover its company shares.
The soundtrack is very nice and original. So if you like the Hip-Hop music this series is for you.

I watched 2 episodes of this series ! Even if I really like Hip-hop/Rap/Rnb/US music, I think there are lots of singing moment like, you know, in some Disney movies such as High School Musical. Okay it's a music series so it's normal to have songs etc... but sometimes it breaks the story and it bothers me because is unnecessary. Don't you feel the same ?

The first two episodes are mainly very very boring in each series. I had the same reaction in the beginning of Empire but after there is a real story. I hate series with too much music like high school musical but Empire is different. For example in high school musical they sing all time just for example when someone say "Hello" and the song begin. In Empire yes the music is present but not like high school musical. They sing only when they are in a music studio or concert for example. After yes if you don't like the Hip-Hop/Rap/Rnb/US this series is not for you

Very good choice Candy ! This series is just awesome. There is always something new in each episodes. Did you watch the second season ? Completely crazy.
Maxime, this is not really like High School Musical, Empire is more adults for a series. You should watch more episodes, you will see that not the same as High School Musical.

I just watched the first episode and OMG this series is just amazing !!!!
I loved were the scene take place and the personality of each of his sons !!
They are so different.. I am looking forward to seeing the next ! Do we know who will take the place of the father at the end of the season 1 ?
