Series "2 broke girls" - Océane GERMAIN
Hello Mister Cox !
For this work, I made the choice to present to you the series "2 broke girls". It is an American TV series broadcast since September 2011. It arrived on our French screen 1 year later, in September 2012 ! This series is composed of 6 seasons.
Before anything else, let me introduce you to the overall framework of the series:
Max is the waitress of a small restaurant in Brooklyn. She meets Caroline, new waitress and once very rich, but who lost everything as a result of the frauds of her father who is now in prison. Max offers Caroline to be his roommate. The series starts in New York and tells the life of these two waitresses. These two girls are completely different, be it their character, their origins and even their physical, but work together end up tying a very strong friendship between them. They will even decide to try to set up their own cupcake shop . To do that, they will need $ 250,000. At the end of each episode is displayed the sum collected until then.
In my opinion, it's a really fun series, which plays on all cliches. No one is spared ! So that jokes a little bit dirty or even racist are diverted and do not seem as wicked and discriminating as one gets the impression. All religions, social classes, ethnic genres etc. are affected, it allows to de-dramatize all situations and take things a little more lightly. If you want to split the pear if only for a few minutes, after a long, endless and painful day for example, I highly recommend this little sitcom! It goes every night on NT1 from 8pm. And do not hesitate to give me your opinion.

Main characters
Hello Mister Cox,
Today I would like to present the characters of this series so that you can better know them and identify their personalities which are so diverse and specific to each one.
Max Black is a waitress at the Williamsburg Diner. She emerged from the working class and has always had a difficult life. She is often disillusioned but has always had enough malice and irony to get out in life. His childhood was marked by an absent father and an alcoholic mother and also too often absent. She tries, with Caroline's help and optimism, to raise the necessary money for a cupcake shop.
Caroline Wesbox Channing is a new waitress at the Williamsburg Diner. She comes from high society but lives with Max after his father was arrested for orchestrating a Ponzi system. Since then, she and Max have been friends. She is always enthusiastic about little things and is quite mannered.
Earl is the cashier at the Williamsburg Diner. He is a former jazz musician. Max is very close to him, often asserting that she wants him to be his father.
Oleg, is the Ukrainian cook of the Williamsburg Diner. He sexually harasses Max and Caroline constantly with displaced jokes, insinuations and sexual propositions. Later, he develops an attraction for Sophie, and regularly has sex with her. They get married in the last episode of season 4.
Han Lee, is the owner of the Williamsburg Diner. It is an American-Korean who is constantly the target of jokes involving his size, his effeminate manners, despite his pretensions to being heterosexual, and his lack of knowledge of American culture.
Sophie Kachinski, is a Polish woman. She lives in the apartment above the colocation of Max and Caroline. She has a cleaning service: Sophie's Choice, for which Max and Caroline sometimes work, and is the object of Oleg's affection. She is also very fond of cupcakes made by Max.

Season 3 episode 15
In the episode I watched, Caroline discovers in Max's hidden business a brochure for a pastry school! She hurries to tell her friend and tells her it's a very good idea, but Max refuses to hear about it on the pretext that they do not have the funds to afford this registration out of price. The two girls make contact with the school, meet with the directors and after several negotiations, conclude the contract "study-employment": while Max learns in school, caroline works as administrative assistant of the school. It should be noted that both girls continue to work in the restaurant.
In this school Max meets a man with whom she is friends. A friendship that tilts gently into flirtation. This man lives in a dumpster every redevelopment and Max feels affection for him because she thinks of recognizing herself through a life "miserable" and poor. While they live their little idyll quietly, Caroline discovers in the files of the students of the school of pastry that this young man (Deke), is not poor, but coming from a very well-off family. Enchanted by this news, she shares it with Max who does not take the same opinion at all. She feels betrayed by this man to whom she seemed to attach herself and feel feelings. Deke then makes a $ 1 million transfer to Max's bank account, but she can not resolve to accept them and ends up returning them to her.
