Week 3 group 2 Music

You guys are sooo motivated when it's time to talk about music

I listen music every day too, like most of us, apparently. Buuut I'm a little bit lazy so I just ask YouTube to launch an auto-generated playlist. In these playlists you can find artists like P!nk, Coldplay, the XX, Lorde, BigFlo & Oli, Adele, Lana Del Rey, and some others ... I also like some french singers like Emilie Simon or GiedRé.

I didn't mentioned them before (they deserve an entire paragraph) but I listen a lot of Twenty-One Pilots' songs. My favourites from them are not the very famous "Stressed Out" or "Heathens", but "Goner" and "Car Radio". I like lyricists. But Tyler (song-writer and singer of Twenty-One Pilots) has a very special way to write : he is more like a poet. When his poem is finished, he makes a song with it, and when it's not possible to put the lyrics on the rythm, he makes a rap. So in one song you can have some singing and some rap, or only singing, or only rap... but always great lyrics.

I think that music is a great mind-healer. It breaks the silence, it talks to you. Even when you are not in a good mood, when life is boring, or when things have gone wrong, to listen a bit of music can help. Aaaand I think it will be very useful to survive in Angoulême. But, caution : never listen depressing songs when you are depressed!

Like a lot of people I LOVE David Bowie. When I was young a watched an English serie called... Life on Mars. The official music of this serie was David Bowie's song. It is when I discovered David Bowie, since I always been a huge fan!
Actually, in my family you will always listen to English pop. Even if my father is French, he always have been a huge fan of pop music. I was raised with David Bowie, Queen, the Police, Duran Duran, ABBA, the Beatles, the Who, the Jam or Madness. And I am actually really fan of all of them! I know some more than others, but I guess that the one that is really different that I like is Madness. This group is really different, but for me it really emphasize England at that time. It is when England is in between BBC playing classical music, and all the young people listening to "pirate radio" to listen to pop music. One of my favorite movie that shows that is "Good Morning England". In this movie you only have incredible music! And on top of that, it is a really funny movie !

Hi everybody,

I need to say that I can listen every kind of music (except hard rock).
Like Clement, I really like Lana del Rey, her lastest album is so wonderful.
I Love also listen groups like Coldplay " I want something just like this" or "The chainsmokers".
Moreover, and for being totally honest, I have to say that I love Ed Sheeran, he is so perfect and these musics are great.
In France, I love few artists like Renaud, Vianney and Christine and the queens.

I think in France we do very good music (french touch), but with the radio and television we don't give a chance to a good talent, that's why we can hear on the radio different kind of music very (very) bad like "Comportement" (bah ouais...) or "Maitre Gîms" etc... (It is just my opinion! )

I do agree with you Tom, and that's why i nearly never listen the radio, listening commercial songs makes my ears bleeding. There's people blessed with so much talent and they remain unknown or forgotten because they don't fit those radio policies like Kerry James for example.

Hello !! As Joachim I can listen everything! I think I am very open minded about music. When I was younger I had a period I was keen on punk music like The Sex Pistols haha. Now, I'm listening a lot of pop, rap and rock. I love jazz-funk too like Earth Wind and Fire, that gives me a lot of positive energy. My sound of the moment is this one :

I'm sorry for answering late but i actually hate this topic because when it comes to music, it is hard for me to assume that i have terrible taste in music...
In fact, just like all of you, i like pretty much everything, I would be able to listen to David Bowie, Serge Gainsbourg, Britney Spears, Scorpion, Queen, Rihanna, Eminem and Celine Dion in the space of one single day, but to be truly honest, me and my roommate Vincent are big fans of Ariana Grande (don't laugh)! Even if she is a very commercial singer, she has an incredible voice and since i love to sing (especially in the shower) i like to listen to good singers too!

yes a perfect control on his own's voice! but the rhythm of the first song are a little obscure... I can't understand..
