Week 4 - Feminism Nowadays

I totally agree with what it was said above me. Education is the first step to reduce inequalities.
Today feminism is negatively connoted. When we talk about feminism, we think about women who hate men, and the extreme drifts…
Being feminist, is to think that men and women are equals. They must have access to the same opportunities.
I think that a lot of people are feminist without considered themselves as a feminist because we are sensitives to inequalities. In France, there is more than 75 000 rape each year. Moreover  wages gaps stagnate, and all the advertisements that we see almost everywhere who represent the women as an object is degrading. We can’t stay insensitive to that.

Concerning the feminism, I noticed women take lot of place in different sector of activities because before they were victim of discrimination.
They can’t to practice men’s job even if they have the same degree, they revolt herself for that they wanted the changement because the mentality for her isn’t normal.
Nowadays we can say, we have evaluated end even if I’m a man I think the women are very better than men in some job like marketing communication because they have better and more idea than men, but it must not be forgotten men are very lazy

If we look up the definition of feminism in the dictionary, we will find numerous explicit definitions. For example « the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities » or « the advocacy of women’s rights on the bases of the equality of the sexes ». Many people think that women and men have different physical capabilities so equality is not possible. But they don’t need to have the same physic in order to have the right of equity. Is there a difference between two men (one is smaller and weaker than the second) ? Do they have same rights ? Obviously yes. Men and women deserve equal rights and opportunity but from my point of view it does not.

Today many people hate the feminist movement. Numerous reasons can explain it. I believe some men fear feminist because it can mean they will lose power, influence … Maybe people are afraid to lose traditions, or established gender role.
I’m afraid that feminist movement will change in a toxic movement. Let me explain : the concept can evolved into something focus on being better than men and having more rights. But we just have to wait and see the evolution of feminist movement …

Nowadays, women of different races and countries are fighting for their rights in various ways, and we must admit that women have their own rights to do what they want to do. But there is many man who show no respect to their wifes especially be violent. We have to stop this phenomenon to going on and we should not ignore it.
Sexism occurs not only in some family, but also in many workplaces, that’s why feminism appear. I support that women fight for their rights in a right way, but i am against on the grounds of “over-protesting”.
