Since seven years, I do horse riding near my home, in Bois. I don't take the same horse every week and I do jumping, dressage and sometimes cross country. This Saturday I jumped with a little horse with plenty energy. I have a real good feeling with him, even if he often plays the «crazy horse»! This afertoon he refused to jump two times, but after a little telling off he understood and did a great session.

Is that Bois near Champagnolles? If it is my son used to go to Bois school a long long time ago. Do you have a horse or do you ride horses for other people to keep them fit?

Yes it is! I live near Champagnolles. I do ride horses for other peolpe or just horses who belong to my club. There are between 50 and 60 horses and each week we can choose a different one. This week, I did dressage with a very tall horse. My exercise was to make it do a side walk. It concists in making it walk straight with his hips beside him. It's quite difficult, but it's better if you do this with a horse who knows this exercise.

Today I jumped (under the rain...) with a horse who is a real pain. The exercise was a line with four obstacles, and between them there were a little space. Horses can't run between each obstacle, so they must jump immediatly after each one of them. In french we call it "sauts de puce". At the beginning, my horse was not listening, but after it's was a great time, and I love this exercise.

Do horses like the rain? Or don't they mind?

Most horses don't mind being in the rain, but i know few horses who go mad when they work under it. It's quite oftenly, the younger horses that like it the least.
Yesterday (I know that when you read this word you will have the Beatles's song in your head haha...), we did dressage. I took a horse that I know very well, but she didn't want to work. She tried to pintch me a lot of times, but I know that it's a good horse. She thinks she's a formula 1!! Today, I have got aching arms from making her break.
