Who is your Hero. Try to choose someone who is NOT in your family. Someone we might know.

I have different heroes who allow me to become better. these heroes are a simple person but they allow us to dream and to change our mentalities. For me there is Calum Von Moger or Arnold Scharzenegger who are an exemple in bodybuilding. I saw their progress trought videos, and It gave me the motivation, It just an example, I'm not trying to copy their parcours but just to learn et not to repeat the same errors as them. For me they this guys are a simple person they allow me to become a better person

Week 3 subject Heroes Empty a hero for me

Post by julie bersoult Wed Sep 25, 2019 6:28 pm

A hero is a person who has different qualities.
He's a person helping others. To get to do something or save us from a situation. In addition, this person can be a girl or a boy. For example when we are little it is often our dad who is our heros when we are a little girl. He helps us a lot, and he's the first boy in our lives. He is there for us and helps us in any situation. For us he is above everyone and saves us like a hero. But also the size of our father can make us think of a superhero. Because most of the time a hero and seen with a lot of muscles.
Frida kahlo is for me a heroine. she's a painter who's had an accident. so she was parralise duped for a long time in a bed. but did not stop his work anyway. moreover, she has managed to tell her life in paintings to show people that we must not give up on every difficulty in life. then she is also beaten for women's rights. she is a heroine for the courage and strength she has had.

I don't really have one person that always inspired me, but I've always been inspired by many persons in many fields. For example, I've always been inspired by Chopin in classical music or by Michael Phelps, Michael Jordan or Kevin Mayer in sport. they are all inspiring and give me a lot of motivation to improve in these fields.
They can be considered as heroes 'cause they all changed the history of their field. Chopin has always composed pieces for piano and is now a reference in classical music and is one of the greatest composers in history. The three others changed their sport in different ways.

Salma Hayek is an actrice and also a film producer.
She played in Frida. This film was her breakthrough role and this film becomes 17 prices.
Many years later, she reveals the world she was victim of sexual assault and sexual abuse from Harvey Weinstein.
In 2005, she spoke to the U.S. Senate to defend women and violence against them.
At 47 years old, she created with Beyoncé and Gucci the campaign “chime for change” witch is fighting for young girls and women, the write to education, to health, for justice.
In 2017, she wrote a tribute in the New York Times named “Harvey Weinstein is My Monster Too”. After that, she participated to create the movement “Time's Up”.
Today, she is one of the most powerful voices of feminism in Hollywood. This is why she is a hero to me.

I don't really have a hero but for me, a hero is a person who have super powers which they may use to help save lives. They have qualities such as courage, bravely and put the needs of others before their own.
For example, Fireman helps people all day when they are in danger. Sometimes they risked their life and perished to save them as the attentat of September, 11.
Then, so many people fighted for freedom and equalities between Black and Whites like Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King.

I don't really have a hero, but if I had to find my hero I'd say it's Sadaf Khadem.
I admire him, I admire his courage and determination.
she's an Iranian boxer, she's the first Iranian woman to fight an official boxing match.
After winning her very first "official fight" in Royan, Charente-Maritime, she did not return to Iran, as she is wanted on charges of the law of the Islamic Republic.
This fight she fought is very symbolic for the cause of women, and women's freedom.
She is a woman who fights for the sport she loves but also for women's freedom.
I am a boxer and for me, she is an emblematic figure of this sport, she is a great example for all of us.

Post by BABEAU Clémence Sat Sep 28, 2019 1:09 pm

For me a hero is a person who has done one or more heroic actions during his life such as Nelson Mandela, Simone Veil or Martin Luther King. These people can be defined as heroes because they have contributed to a change in society and it has impacted the whole world. There are also the heroes of war who do a heroic action to help their country win a battle where to save wounded people.

For me a hero is  an history icon. My hero are especially sports icon. They make me confident in my life in everything I do. In particularly in my physical activities. Seeing my heroes succeed despite the obstacles motivated me to climb my obstacles. For example Usain Bolt. He began like a poor child to become the best sprinter of all time. This made me understand we can come from the lowest to arrive the highest. And this is the same thing in lots of sports like football or my favourite sport basketball. We can have also hero in society who change it with different actions. For instance the racial discrimination. We have Black Panthers movement, Nelson Mandela, Rosa Park or Martin Luther King. A hero is a person who want help other peoples with actions to change the society and this can be in different context like sports, politic, social or environment.

There are many people who inspired me during the story.
However, the historical figure of which I am the most fan is and will always be Che Guevara.
First doctor then revolutionary and Argentine politician, Ernesto Guevara was born June 14, 1928 in Rosario (Argentina). He died on October 9, 1967 in La Higuera (Bolivia). He organized guerrilla warfare in Latin America and more precisely in Cuba. He was a friend of Fidel Castro. I admire him enormously because he was a very brave man, he fought all his life to defend his ideas and he even died because he was killed by the Bolivian militia.

i don't have any hero but for me an hero can be a mythological figure, a person who is admired for his achievements, a superhero, maybe a role model or an icon. For examples he can be a fictitious hero (superhero or film star), a patriotic or national hero( sportsman, politician, human rights defender..).
thereafter, i have some people who inspire me like Serena Williams because she is a strong and powerful woman.

Heroes are pepole who has realised incredible things, like at the time of antiquity with Hercule, Achille, Persée... these mythocogical heroes have for exemple killed medusa, Hydra of Lerne, the lion of Némée...
But today, a hero is qualified by there intellectual, political or charitiy actions. For instance we have Simone Veil (1927-2017), a politician who fought for women's right or Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968) who fought against racism.

To me a hero is an inspiring person.
She could be alive or dead, it’s someone who moved the world.
For example, Simone Veil and Nelson Mandela are iconic people in the world.
They made it possible to change this world, and especially to improve it. A hero is an altruistic person who makes things happen for the better for others.

For me, a hero is a model, an inspiration to others.
I never really had a hero, but I admire frida kalo because she is an incredible painter. But beyond that, she knew how to use the worst trials of her life to make magnificent paintings. She's a strong woman, who did what she wanted.
My sports hero is sonny bill williams, he is a New Zealand rugby player who plays on the national team, he is an incredible but humble player who uses his influence in rugby to get important messages across about good causes.
But the real hero I have always admired is the che guevara, he is an activist who fought for just causes, in Cuba for example, he even lost his life...

For me a heroes had to be a role model, someone who had influences on a group of people.
It's someone who is able to do what most of us are not able to do.
I have many differents heroes same as Jimmy Butler a nba basket ball player who was homeless during all his teenage years and now win more than a million/month by playing for one of the best team of the NBA.
There are other people i admire like Tupac because of his involment in the black people cause in USA during the 90's.

we have many definitions of the word « heroes ». for me, a heroe is a model, an inspiration to others peoples. They have a lot of qualities (brave, strong, ...). I have a heroe in my favorite sport the basket-ball: Michael jordan. This player is a icon during 1980 to the debut of the 21st century, his game impacted the entired of the NBA league. He won 6 championship with the Chicago Bulls and many of his highlights was reproduced by his fans like his fade-away, step-back, or his dunks.
It’s a Heroe for me because his name is very famous around the World and his game influenced the majority of the actuals nba players (lebron james, dwayne Wade, kobe bryant,...)

For me, the notion of Heroes has been declined since TV, science-fiction or comics has spawned. For the society a heroe got some anormal power (like Batman/Superman/Spiderman... Etc...) This heroe still always fighting against the same enemy. This fight seams Epic, but it's almost everytime ending by the destruction of the street/city/building... Etc...
For me that the problem, personnaly, i think a heroe is someone of every day who's acting peacefully for humanity, or for some people in fonction of the task. Like.. acting for environnement by throwing rubbish in the bean, or acting to help someone who was gonna be run over by a car, by helping someone who's drowning in the River..
Heroes do not always wear capes.

Week 3 subject Heroes Empty Heros

Post by jartins Tue Oct 01, 2019 7:00 am

Personally I don't really have a favorite hero. Moreover, the definition of hero is not necessarily very concrete. For me a hero is a real person who fights for an idea, for example the soldiers of the world war. For others it can be a fictional character for example captain america or then sportsmen like diego Maradona. He is considered a hero in his country. Then there are the heroes of all day, the firemen, the doctors...

I don't have heros specifically, but if someone can be named as such, it's robert downey junior. Because he marked my childhood when I saw iron man. I was amazed, and I wanted to become like him. I grew up with his films. During his life he had ups and down notament when he has addictions he was able to rebound
He also promised to "save" the planet, to finally help the netoyyer by bringing together the "most intiligent people" and thanks to advanced technology. Notament robotics and nanotechnology. Organized thanks to his money

In my opinion a hero is a physical or unreal person which influences us by several ways.
In fact heroes are able to lead, advice, and obviously defend people. For exemple, heroes as Superman (fictive person) are the kind of heroes that defend people and beat vilains. Whereas heroes as Emma Watson are real person and they fight themselves for important subjects and show the exemple to the citizens. They looks like model for people, which admire them. They have a big notoriety and they use it in a good way to convey ideas. So we can say that heroes could be real or fictive, but at the end they all help people.

For me, a hero is a person who has by his actions done things out of the ordinary. Through help, defense of people, thoughts or something else.
There are many heroes in our world such as Nelson Mandela, who has championed particular and very important causes that have changed our current society. We can also find heroes in the sports, which can inspire us, for me it's Zlatan Ibrahimovic, for his charisma, his spectacular game and his very provocative personality.

I don’t really have a hero. But for me a hero is not a person with superpowers. A hero is a person with qualities like courage, bravery..., it's a person who helps people and contributes to the change of society to better live in the world. A hero doesn’t have to be masked or disguised to save lives.
