Week 4 subject - Rugby world Cup or Japan Empty Re: Week 4 subject - Rugby world Cup or Japan

Post by Julien Chaubénit Thu Oct 03, 2019 9:55 am

The Rugby World Cup is an international rugby union competition that has been held every four years since 1987. It is open to all World Rugby recognized federations. The first edition took place in 1987 in New Zealand and Australia. It was won by New Zealand.
Only four nations are on the World Cup charts. New Zealand, won three times in 1987, 2011, 2015. Australia in 1991 and 1999 and South Africa in 1995 and 2007 each won the competition twice. England won the event in 2003, the only country in the Northern Hemisphere to capture the global trophy. France has been present three times in the final (1987, 1999, 2011), without ever winning. No other nation has reached the final.
The host country of the World Cup is designated by World Rugby. The eighth edition took place in England from September 18 to October 31, 2015. Japan organizes at the moment the 2019 edition. For 2023, the host country is France.

Hello, today I am going to make a brief presentation of Japan. Japan is a country in East Asia, it is at the same time one of the greatest power in the world. It is a country famous for his gastronomy but also his relief and natural disasters. Japan has for Tokyo, the largest in the world.
Currently Japan is very mediatised because there is a world event, it's the Rugby World Cup where the national team is there alongside the biggest nations such as England or New Zealand.

There are many things I like in japanese culture, like the language which I think is very beautiful. I like the history of this country because, as a European, it seems completely different to me and it is very interesting.
The thing I like most in japanese culture is mangas. I don't watch anime everytime I can, I just like to watch an anime or read a manga when I want to. The problem is that I read and look at too many unfinished mangas and anime so it's complicated to wait the next chapter or episode and keep understand the history of each of them.
The last unfinished anime I watched and I always watch of course is "Kimetsu no yaiba", or "Demon slayer" in english.

For a long time Japan was "inaccessible", It was considered as a fascinating star. Their culture is unique. The Japanese are very proud of their heritage and culture, and they cling to many ancient traditions, dating back hundreds of years.
They also seem to be obsessed with technology and consumer oriented. Japan is often several years ahead of the rest of the world. This contrast between tradition and ultra-modernity is often intriguing to visitors. Many of them go back there to live again after they first visit.
Actually, there is the rugby world cup in Japan.

Japan is a beautiful Asian country. An island in the Pacific Ocean. I've never visited it before but I might like to go there one day. I have Vietnamese cousins and they often tell me about Asia. It's a country they'd like me to discover. A country with beautiful imperial palaces, mountainous national parks, temples and shrines.
I would love to travel around the world, and Japan would be one of the countries where I would particularly like to spend time.

The Rugby World Cup is a competition that was created in 1987, it is an international rugby XV competition that takes place every 4 years in different countries. The first edition was in New Zealand and Australia and it was won by New Zealand. This year, the World Cup is being held in Japan. This is the first time it has been held in Asia. This year, only teams that have already participated in an international competition at least once can compete. This year, several teams are creating a surprise, including France, who are reaching the quarter-finals! France has reached the final 3 times and I hope for a fourth time this year! It is in France that the next World Cup will be held.

Japan is located in the Pacific Ocean near china, on the eastern coast of the Asian continent.
Japan attracts tourists with his different culture and his famous monuments like Skytree in Tokyo.
It is also a leading nation in scientific research, particularly in fields related to the natural sciences and engineering.
Japan has also one of the oldest and largest film industries in the world, in fact movies have been produced in Japan since 1897.
Moreover japanese comics or graphic novels, known as manga, developed in the 20th century, have become popular worldwide.
he typical food in Japan is rice, noodles, soup, okazu and sushi.
Japanese martial arts such as judo, karate and kendo are widely practiced and enjoyed by spectators in the country even if sumo is considered Japan's national sport.
Personally the things i like most about japan are the complicated language , the beautiful places, the unusual architecture, the amazing cherry blossoms, manga and sushi.

The Rugby World Cup 2019 is broadcasted from september 20 to november 2. It's an event who appened every 4 years since 1987. For this edition, competition take place in Japan, that the first one who take place in an Asian country.
I'm looking to each match i can, there is an incredible level and like we can see with Japan's team, every one can be qualified to the next round of the competition. My two favorite team are France who reach the next round like Japan, and the other one is Italy but for this team beeing qualified is looking hard beacause there're 3rd and the last match to be qualified is against New-zealand who are actually the world champion since 2011.

hello , I will talk about Japan and more specifically a part of the manga culture.
Japanese culture is very interesting by their imagination in the use of writing with their very well known creations the mangas. The mangas are originally read from right to left
There are all kinds, 7 stand out:
The Nekketsu targeting a young audience ; Les Magical Shôjo; Les Shônen Pantsu; Les Shôjo Romance; Les Seinen; Les Kodomo et Les Hentai for adults, but we’ll skip the subject.
Mangas are very much loved by the youth for their very often heroic contents.

The actual Rugby World championship is monitoring by Japan. 20 nations fight themselves to be the future World Champion.
I know most Japanese don’t care about rugby... But following their team’s global journey in the world championship they organize, do you think rugby can gain in popularity in Japan ?
Without being a great specialist, I think that the values of this sport correspond quite well with those of Japan. To begin with, the melee, which symbolizes the spirit of confrontation with others, is found everywhere in Japan. For example in several fighting sport as Judo.
Japanese people have a strong national sentiment, honour, virtue, respect for traditions, authority, but also all that is conformism, sense of work, consensus, pragmatism, which could also be applied to sport, that are omnipresent in rugby. It is very Japanese to have an omnipotent authoritarian figure (the referee), to obey him in appearance (zero challenge of decisions, even when they are manifestly false).
In my opinion Rugby could gain in popularity in Japan at the end of the competition.

Japan is not my favorite subject because It's a unknown county to me, and I hope that I will discover it some day. So even if the World Cup is not a subject that I like, I'm going to talk about it because it's easy to find information. the Rugby wold cup take places in Japan in the period of September 20 and November the 2nd.This is the ninth edition of the competition. The first one was help in Asia. The teams that participate are often the same because the differences in levels between the first and last countries are strong. 12 stadiums host all the matches of. the competition. the largest Yokohama with a capacity of 72,500 spectators and the smallest 16 spectators. The new Zealand holding the title since 2015

I don't know much about the Rugby World Cup. I just know that this is an international competition that bring together several countries over a period of time to compete. This World Cup is in Japan. Japan is a country in Asia. Japan has a very different culture from ours, with exceptional traditions that can be found nowhere else. We can say that these traditions are complicated.
