Rasta Rocket, it's a film about four jamaicans, Derice Bannock, Junior Bevil, Yul Brenner and Sanka Coffie who decided to go in Canada at Calgary for the Olympic Winter Games to do the bobsleigh. They decided this after three jamaicans wasn't qualified for the 100m.
It was my favorite movie because it's unique to see a Jamaica team at the Olympic Winter Games. It was interesting to see the desire and determination of everyone to have the means, the capacity to go at the Olympic Games. They decided to do everything to earn money like song in the street, tussle competiton.. But with this activities they don't have enough money, so Junior Bevil the man who brought down Yul and Derice in the 100m sold his car for the team to go to the Olympics. So they can go at Calgary with their coach Irvin.
When they arrived in Calgary they did many training et the didn't accepted from the others athletes because they are jamaican.
During the final, the bobsleigh jamaican do a great race but they have a problem on the bobsleigh and they had an accident so they cannot finish the race. They decided finish the race wearing the bobsleigh and they were applauded by all other athletes and coach.
I think, with perseverance they win the respect and they show their nation around the world
I think this is the beauty of sport
This movie showed me that we could go on being favorites but with envy and self-sacrifice, we could scare the biggest.
