Memories
I don't expect many people to see this topic. And that's okay, I understand your priorities and have sympathy (up to a certain point) but since it's the last week I thought I'd open a thread so that I can say how much I've enjoyed "teaching" you this year and last year. I've enjoyed having the opportunity to get to know you all a little and even have a very small influence on a mini part of your lives.
It's been great to watch you change over the last couple of years and to see where you may be heading for the next part of your lives. I have many good memories both of individual and group moments but I'd like to pick out my favourite class moment from this year. It was the week that you sat opposite another student in the "speed talking" session. In both classes I remember sitting away from you all for a short time, closing my eyes and just listening to the bedlam - it was an incredible wave of noise where "EVERYBODY" was speaking English and I could taste happiness in the air. It made me feel proud of every single one of you because you were not only making the effort I'd asked for but succeeding in your English and, largely, enjoying the class time.
Thanks for this year (and last year for some of you). I hope that you find what you're looking for and have a happy life (money isn't everything).

Re: Memories
Ohhhhh John,
You are going to make me cry (not joking...)... I am losing my words ! It has been two beautiful years, you are an INCREDIBLE teacher and an AMAZING person, you have brought us a LOT. So I just want to thank you for pushing us to speak english regardless our level, for your funny (and weird) jokes, for your investment and everyday (or everythursday) joy.
I am going to miss u (and I mean it), hope to see you one day (with Molly) at Soulac
See you Thursday (hope without tears)

Re: Memories
Hi John,
I think that Léa wrote it best and I don't have much to add. You did make me cry but that's because I'm sick and tired so it doesn't count. Even though knowing myself I'll probably cry on Thursday for real...
Thanks for everything,
See you Thursday
