Re: Queen Elizabeth II
After 70 years of reign, the Queen of England leaves her place to her son Charles. Becoming Queen at 25 years old, her coronation took place only on 2 June 1953 at Westminster Abbey. It was an international icon.
The whole world mourns the Queen Elizabeth II.

Re: Queen Elizabeth II
Elizabeth II ("Elizabeth Alexandra Mary") was born on April 21, 1926 and died on September 8, 2022, just one year after her husband, Prince Philip.
Elizabeth was only 25 when she became Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth kingdoms, but was only 27 at the time of the coronation, reigning from February 6, 1952 until her death.
She had recently celebrated her platinum jubilee, for her 70 years of reign in front of millions of people.
She was considered one of the most influential people in the world, being both a political icon and a loving person, leaving behind her son, Charles Philip (III) to take over the crown (and her 5 corgis).

Re: Queen Elizabeth II
How not to know Queen Elizabeth. She is a figure of the world who is believed to be immortal because her reign lasted so long.
She was crowned at the age of 27 and died in her 97th year. She was at the head of England for more than 70 years, she touched several generations and that's why her death is a real tragedy for all England and that this country will be in mourning for a long time. Following his death it is his son Charles III who took succession but in the heart of the English Queen Elizabeth II will remain their emblem and their queen forever.

Re: Queen Elizabeth II
Queen Elizabeth II, 96 years old, died on Thursday, September 8, after 70 years of reign. But who was Queen Elizabeth, she was the emblem of the country, she represented peace by her presence but also by her charisma. Her death is a real tragedy at the national and even international level because many people were attached to her, her mourning will surely be very long for some people. Despite her death, the country was taken over by her son Charles III who succeeded her.

Re: Queen Elizabeth II
Queen Elizabeth II died in the Balmoral castle on the last friday. She was 96 years old and was the queen of England for about 70 years (1952-2022). His son Charles will be the next king of England. It was an international personality. Everybody in the world knew who where the Queen. Personally I'll remind her a lot for her many colorful hats and clothes but also for her many corgis she had in her life.
Long live the king Charles, the entire world will remind the Queen Elizabeth.

Elizabeth meet Philip Mountbatten when she was 13. Five years his senior, she was not afraid to say during one of their interviews in 1939 that she was in love with him. From there, begins an epistolary exchange between these two fiery lovers, which will lead to a marriage in 1947. The queen was then 21 years old.
Elizabeth was passionate by Corgis, she have 30 dogs. She create her own breed by crossing a teckel with a corgis. It worked as she invented the Dorgis race.

Re: Queen Elizabeth II
The queen Elizabeth II make her first public declaration on the 13 October 1940, at this moment she was 14 years old. In this speech the young Elizabeth speaks to the children of England as the second world war raged in the country. Later during the war she enlisted in the army during World War II. In 1944, at the age of 18, Princess Elisabeth joined the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS), the women's branch of the British Army during the Second World War. This is proof that from her young days the queen was devoted to her people.

Re: Queen Elizabeth II
- Did you know that the queen’s favorite song is an ABBA Dancing Queen title?
At a dinner in Windsor, Queen Elizabeth II reportedly said that she always tried to dance when that song came. She had the impression that this song had been written for her. "Because I am Queen and I love to dance," she said.
-Finally more astonishing, it is also forbidden to continue eating when the queen has finished her dish. During a meal with her, it is customary to finish her plate before her. The Queen, who must follow a very special protocol when she addresses guests at a dinner. She begins by speaking to the people on her right before speaking to the guests on her left.

Re: Queen Elizabeth II
In September 1939, Britain entered the Second World War. Lord Hailsham suggested that Princesses Elizabeth should be evacuated to Canada to avoid the frequent aerial bombings of London. But the princesses stayed at Balmoral Castle, Scotland. From February to May 1940, they moving to Windsor Castle, where they lived for most of the next five years. At Windsor, the princesses staged pantomimes at Christmas in aid of the Queen's Wool Fund, which bought yarn to knit into military garments. In 1940, the 14-year-old Elizabeth made her first radio broadcast during the BBC's Children's Hour, addressing other children who had been evacuated from the cities. She stated: "We are trying to do all we can to help our gallant sailors, soldiers, and airmen, and we are trying, too, to bear our own share of the danger and sadness of war. We know, every one of us, that in the end all will be well."

Re: Queen Elizabeth II
Queen Elizabet also called Lilibet is the second monarch to have reigned the longest over a country after Louis XIV.
Since her childhood, The Queen has learned only one thing: to reign.
Arrived at the beginning of her reign following the death of her father, she found herself face to face with the greatest politicians of the moment like Winston Churchill without any knowledge of the history of her country and her political life.
Because having only learned at a young age to be a queen, she found herself helpless during discussions on socio-political and economic issues.
It was therefore only when she began her reign that the queen began to take lessons with a predecessor and to study subjects at college and high school level.

Re : Queen Elizabeth II
At birth, Elizabeth II was third in line, after Edward VIII and his father (George VI).
In 1947, Elisabeth married Lieutenant of the Royal Navy, Philip de Mountbatten, Prince of Greece and Denmark, then Duke of Edinburgh, whom she had met in 1939. She was crowned on June 2, 1953 in the Westminster Abbey.
In addition, the main role of Queen Elizabeth II is to represent the United Kingdom, both nationally and internationally. However, it is not limited to this representative power. Indeed, each week, the Prime Minister talks with the Queen on important subjects for the Kingdom. This is an opportunity for her to provide advice, even her opinion, to her Prime Minister. In addition, you should know that the reign of Elizabeth II is the second longest in European history. Indeed, she reigned 70 years and 7 months. But it is on September 8, 2022 that she will die, her death will affect the whole world and more in England because she was a national icon.
But also, it may seem surprising but Queen Elizabeth II had a great love for corgis, a breed of dog. Indeed during her life the queen owned more than 30 dogs of this breed.
