In 2019 during a race in angoulême it was so hot, (around 35 or 36 degrees), that the mayor and many people had to go to the hospital. I wouldn't have liked to be in their place. Fortunately, the emergency services were there to help them. The most astonishing thing is that this does not prevent certain federations from organising events despite the heatwaves.
