Yes referees also can tell their match !

I'm a football referee from 4 years and today i can manage national matches in Under 17 and Under 19 categories and regional matches in senior category.
The last week i went near Le Mans to refereed a match between Coulaines and Avranches in National Under 17 championship. Avranches won 1 to 0.
Referees are observed during all the season to know if they have the level to refereed more important matches or if on the contrary they must have come down again in lower category.

Referees are very important and a good referee can help to make the game so much better. What is the on pitch respect like for referees in France?

Referees are more and more respected, in particular at the young people. Progress was already made on the ground, but the hardest is to change the image given by the highest level.
