I remember in twentieth Century sixty or seventy's, there was a famous saying by Mao: “we need to be stronger to save people in western capitalist country”, because the old communist declaimed that capitalists tend to exploit the working people so people don’t have enough food to live. what a stupid. Then Chinese was making full efforts to carry out steel production till we realized that was a disaster for us.

I was born in 1994 in small city. The best moments for me during one years was my birthday and June 1 when i was 6 or 7, because those two days mean that my family would take to KFC. Today the imagine of people waiting in Burger kings really reminds my childhood. then from the TV I've got known there was a mark called NIKE. the greatest players wear NIKE. So someday I must get one pair of NIKE’s shoes. As time goes by, I got uncountable pairs of NIKE. i go KFC if there has really no better choice, my mother got me an IPod as a birthday gift, And one day I've gotten an airlines ticket to go to France with admire like most Chinese do. Oh f***, Dude that is France!

Somethings incapable become capable, I don’t need to be jealous anymore. All those changes were happened in the last TEN years. just ten years my life has changed so much. That’s what I feel of my real life.

In 1978. Deng showed the western world to us, we finally realized how poor we were. How close-minded we were. Chinese has already suffered for more than 100 years! after that horrible disaster by Mao we returned to the origine once again. we are so afraid of poverty and starvation. We are so needed to get rid of them. The lives in western country gives us a picture. THAT’S WHAT WE WANT! Even for today.

but the freedom is the most cherished value isn't it?

The advanced political system embodied the richness of western country. It makes us to treat problems from two different angles like the video said: freedom or richness. I still remember there was a day when I ate with my best French Friends, They asked me why did I know the policy in China is suitable for us? If we don’t change we could never know what “good” is. But there’s never only one standard isn’t it? Specifically one correct standards. you do not neither know what is the most suitable way for us. there are really some much government intervention in our life. But Chinese has indeed tasted the sweetness of our own way. Our economic demand beyond the demand of "media freedom". no one can use your values to evaluate our values. Isn’t it?We have a beautiful life and we still own a image of a better life. Even without Facebook tongue

Today, comparing with France, China is still a “pays ouf”. in some aspects like environments; Foods; Educations; health care; Social security we have still a long way to go, but the situation is ameliorating. We are no longer that closed rotten country. we are becoming healthier.

I don’t know but I really have a strange feeling, maybe it’s because western country have always been in a strong position so it’s not easy to understand or accept something different from you. So “open-minded” for all of us.

We don’t want to be anyone’s idol, we don’t need to. But we have ourselves way, a totally different way. we are still searching the direction. “Beautiful things you may not want to possess, but comfortable things you will desire to be around.” Stay humble and stay hungry. Chinese welcome various forms of cooperation, and we will not be timid for any compete.

Up to now, we've learned many economic models in several subjects. When we try to understand and to solve a 'problem', in order to simplify the problem, we solve those questions under divers hypothesis. When we come to a real situation, it's much more complicated.
What I want to say is that people should never judge anything only on one aspect. If so, most of time they might get the wrong or meaningless answer.
When we talk about the policies, the economic etc of a country, in my opinion, in order to find out a correst way, I would like to say to find out a better and suitable way to develop. Things are changing all the time, In China, the government is still busy searching for a better way.
China has gone through some difficult times and the living standard in China has been improved alot. Everytime when China is being discussed, hope to hear more complete opinions rather than one-sided statement.

We can’t deny that China’s economy is developing and becoming wealthier, and with the progress of present age and the development of science and technology, people’s living standard has improved conspicuously, So people spend more time and money on prioritizing our health and recreation , meanwhile, the living pace has becoming faster and faster since we followed the policy of reform and opening… but i have to say that we are not the new idol , there are still a lot of problems in front of us to be solved. Even though our GDP is among the world’s highest, the existence of the large gap between the rich and poor are still with us, many poor people are still starving. And also, with the rapid development of market economy, social, cultural and educational development is not balanced, and the uneven distribution of educational resources. All of those issues are hindering China to be an idol today

What’s more, in my opinion, the most important things to us is not to be an idol but developing our economy to help people have a better life, advance science and technology to enhance our international prestige.

In a word, for china, because the profound changes have taken place in international situations, therefore, seeking peace, pursuing development and promoting cooperation are our tasks today, rather than to be an idol.

Let's talk about China. Country which used to be a symbol for low cost and low quality products has changed. In a nowadays we see China also as a producer of high quality IT products such a smartphones, PC components etc. Information technologies has became more and more popular. The production of high-tech products have moved to China, and it is not only because of cheap labor forces. Chinese government invests much more to education. We can see some clear signs of changes in Chinese brands such a Lenovo. It is the brand which became famous in Europe through laptops. It's known for good price and good build quality. I see a huge potential of China for the future. I'm not only one. There is so many people in the world, especially in the USA, who have started to learn Chinese language. I also read about new cargo ship, which will transport the goods from China to EU. It should speed up the time between order and delivery and should satisfy the demand. So, China is the new land of the rising sun.

It is incontestable that China is one of the world's greatest economy today. Like Dampisa Moyo (who I admire btw) said in the video, it showed that it can be a very strong economy while adopting a system of state capitalism. China doesn't follow the west's type of economical and political system, but has managed, through her economical growth to be one of the world's greatest powers. It has today a soft power that makes Chinese products and model more and more present around the world. Chinese export and produce for the whole world and invest in every continent. This model is admired by a lot of emerging countries today for whom China represent a country that was at their place a few years ago and managed to be one of the strongest countries in the world.

In fact ,China has changed a lot since I was born,as the Ted said, China has been able to produce record economic growth and meaningfully move many people out of poverty, specifically putting a meaningful dent in poverty by moving over 300 million people out of indigence. In the past, 28 percent of people had secondary school access while it's closer to 82 percent today. I am glad to see that China has solved many problems and eliminated many blocks with a high growth in economy.I agree completely with Dambisa Moyo on this point.Because I do know how hard it is to solve these problems.

However,China also payed price for this high growth.China is one of the countries that are polluted badly in the world. That is because people in emerging markets have incorrect concept about money.Besides, Economic progress based on excessive exploitation of natural resources will be unsustainable.
In addition, China has different politic system from the western countries.Other countries perhaps have other different problems and would aim at other solutions. All of this that we should consider.
