This is where Group 2 should reply with their views on Brexit. You can talk about your feelings on Europe, about Britain's exit from the EU, about France's place in the EU, about other european countries who may now want to leave. Do you think the EU is good for France/UK? Why or why not? What are the advantages and disadvantages? Do you think it's better to grow up in a united Europe or is the EU too beaurocratic and removed from the people. You can talk about anything concerning the politics of any European country.

Don't panic. Think and write, don't worry if your English isn't perfect.

First of all, what is Brexit ? Brexit is a contraction enter "Britain" and "exit", because, in June, the people of UK has voted on a question, UK must stay in EU ? The majority has answered "no", so UK, today is going to retire of EU. Already, the country knows a financial impact on products, imported ressources and investments in factories, enterprise... because in EU there are no taxes like there is an area of free exchanges.

Brexit is a referendum to decide if Great-Britain has to stay in EU. The last 23rd of June, British people had to choose between the camp of James Cameron ," Britain stronger in Europe" and the camp of the former London's mayor, Boris Johnson, called "Vote Leave".
Finally, they chose to vote "Yes" to brexit. So, Great-Britain will leave European Union.

In my opinion the BREXIT is justified  because the majority of the population  in  the united kingdow say "yes" for leave of the European Union. I didn't think it's good idéa, now their economy  is degraded  and the value of their money falling .

First discussion topic - BREXIT Empty BREXIT

Post by Alix BESTEL-RUIZ Sat Sep 17, 2016 4:35 pm

First I would like to explain what is the BREXIT. British Exit called « BREXIT » is a referendum (so it’s a vote about a particular question) about the exit of United Kingdom of the European Union.
This referendum was vote the June 23, 2016 and the vote was publish the June 24, 2016 in the morning. The resulte was that the british camp called « Leave » won with 51,9% vote against 48,1% for the pro-European camp named « Remain », and that after 43 years of membership! After this event, the Prime Minister decide to resign.
Because of this change, there have been negatives consequences for the country like the adjournment of the order, an important lower of the Stock Exchange, a drop of the pound sterling, etc.
Even if the United kingdom came out of the European Union, we can still travel in this country normaly like before!

First discussion topic - BREXIT Empty First discussion : Brexit

Post by Gauthier Collion Sun Sep 18, 2016 12:00 pm

First Brexit is a referundum and contraction beetween 2 words : Britain and exit.
It's a vote to the British people. The idea was launched by the Prime Minister, David Cameron. This referundum was vote the June 23 of 2016 and it is the positiv answer at 51,9 % who won. So the Bristish people decided to get out of Europe and David Cameron had to resign.
I think that the decision is not the best because it was issued simply to criticize the policy actually. The people did not think that this decision would prevail and they regret.

Beforre 23rd June 2016 the United Kingdom had to decide if they want to stay in the European Union or if they want to leave him. At the majority they decided to leave him ( 51.9%). Brexit is a blend between British or Britain and exit. I think the people will regret their decision because the United Kingdom will know many money problem.

"Brexit" means "british exit". The 23rd June 2016, the people of bristish voted to stay in the European union or no. A majority voted "yes" for exit to the european union, and after that vote, the United kingdom have exit Europe. I think that decision will turn against them and they will have many problem, for begin the resignation of the prime minister David Cameron.

Post by Laura Compe Mon Sep 19, 2016 3:44 pm

On June 23 2016, 51,9% of british said « yes » on the BREXIT referandum. « Brexit » for British Exit, is the exit of the United Kingdom of European Union. It’s the first time European Union be deprived of a member since this creation on 1973.
European Union is a union political and monetary between few countries of european continent, so the economic repercussion for the United Kingdom was catastrophic : despite a reintroduction of 250 billion pounds, the English Stock Exchange is highest drop since a few years. This exit was not really legitimate for the british because a short majority were agreed with this political turnaround (just 51,9% counter 48,1% pro-europe) so the Prime Minister David Cameron decide to resign from his job.
Even if lots of political and economic consequences will be carried out, the United Kingdom will might leave definitively the European Union at the end of the year 2019.

The "Brexit", that's short for "British exit", means the "self-exclusion" of UK from the EU.
In fact, it's a voluntary start ! It was a very close vote because there was 51,9 votes in favor of Brexit. There's bound to be some consequences on economy and the policy, good or bad, but we cannot know thas as yet.
The UK is still divided in 2 groups : one who wants a liberal government, and the other who wants a """""""socialist""""""" government...

Ok, the brexit is a separation between the EU and the UK. But don't you think the brexit will separate the people of england?! 17,4 million people voted for Brexit and 16,1 millions to stay in the EU. So i think the brexit is a terrible mistake from the UK. The vote was legal but it's became too munch important and dangerous with this close vote.

The " Brexit " is an abbreviation of "British Exit", who means the output of the United Kingdom of the European Union. The brexit was voted during Referundum, in June the 26th, 2016, for request of David Cameron. 51.9% of people voted for this seperation.
Many consequences are present. Especially :
For the British sovereignty.
For economy.
For the immigration.
They are others consequences, more or less known.
So, the consequences for the british sovereigny :
The European Union remains the most effective bulwark against conflicts between European countries. But it also prevents changing laws and choose who can prendredes important decisions, because the United kingdom isn't a democracy.
Then, the bigger concequences, it's that of the economy :
It is the most unlikely, and most doubtful. It is not known where economically will lead the brexit. The United Kingdom can both be winning as losing.
With a study of the ministry, the brexit economically would be catastrophic : with a drop in GDP, between 3.4% and 9.5%.
The defendants of brexit , they do not agree with the prognosis. And say otherwise.
On the orther hand, there is the immigration :
The defendants of brexit denounced immigration as mischief in the UK. But in reality, thanks to immigration, the country was able to make a profit of over 20 billion pounds.
In conclusion, in my opinion, there are more advantages to staying in the European Union. Especially when we do not know the consequences there may be when we leave it. The biggest result is that economic, who isn't in a good way.

The term Brexit is used to describe the scenario of the United Kingdom leaving the European Union. The term brexit comes from the contraction of two English words , "British " ( UK ) and "Exit" (Exit ). This topic is being debated in the UK and contrasts the major political forces of the country. For me, it's a good thing for the United Kingdom because it is a rich country.

The Brexit had been evoked by the Prime Minister David Cameron in January 2013. He proposed, in June 2016, a référendum to the british population to see how much they were to wish an exit of the European Union. Most of them (51.9%) answered positively to this idea so the United Kingdom started administrative procedures to leave the European Union.

Firstly i would say that i don't know what thinking about the Brexit, i don't know if it's a good or a bad idea because i don't know a lot of things about politic and i havn't studied enough the subject of the brexit. Many people from the EU think it's a bad choice from the UK and mostly half the population from UK think the same but i think the way used to the retreat of the European Union is a good thing for the democracy. I believe that we have to wait and see what will happen and after that we will judge.
