Season 1 Episod 1

We take place in 80's. The action revolves around 4 kids. One of this kids, Will, dissapears. The sheriff launches research on the forest for find the kid. But nothing. In the same time, a girl try to steal food in Benny's restaurant. Benny stop her and call the social service. We feel that he appreciated this girl. A wooman come in restaurant and told "Where is a girl, i'm the responsable for the social service" Benny turns his back and she kill him. Many people come for catch the girl but she escape.
The other boy's go search their friend Will in forest and they find the girl.

Where is Will, who is this girl ? Next episode !

This is a sick tv show! It reminds me a little bit xfiles. This episode have some unclear scene to me, such as why the G-men had to kill Benny if they just want to catch the girl

Season 1 Episod 2

After finding the girl, her name is tattooed on his arm, it's "Eleven" but the kids call her Elfe. She has a flashback and we can see Dr Brenner, the responsable of Hawkings Laboratory, she calls "papa".
In same time, the chief of policy, Hooper, goes to Benny restaurant where they think his death was suicide. But Hooper is curious. Why a disparition and a suicide in same time, just when he's Sherif.
Nancy is the older sister of Mike. She's the girl friend of Steeve, the popular guys in highschool. Steeve invit Nancy for party (with other objective).
The kids, Mike, Dustin and Lucas follow to find Will with the help of Elfe.
In the end of this episod, Nancy and Barbara (best friend) go to Steeve home for party. During this party, Steeve drives Nancy to drink beer. She drives Barbara but she cuts. At the same time, Jonathan, Will's brother, who search his brother in forest happen behind the Steeve house. He takes pictures. One moment later, Steeve go up with Nancy in his room. Barbara is alone by the swimming pool. A drop of blood falls into the pools. A creature or monster catch Barbara and she disapear. Jonathan head up and see nothing. Another disappearance.

I've just watched the first 3 episodes.

Great end of 70's early 80's feel. Love the music and the toys.

Watched that last year. Both series were very good.

Season 1 Episod 3

We start off with Barb waking up from unconsciousness to find herself at the bottom of a drained pool. It’s dark and the atmosphere is freaky; the sound of growling is prominent. Joyce shows no signs of having slept, catching a couple of winks here and there by the phone while waiting for any sign of Will calling her. However, this apparent madness is connected with her motherly intuition and her belief that her son is still out there despite all evidence pointing to the contrary. While everyone is dismissing her as a woman in mourning, she is beginning to connect the dots to how to communicate with Will. After a mad dash purchase of Christmas lights from her job and setting up a plethora of lamps in Will’s bedroom, she waits as she tries to figure out a pattern to how the lights light up. She does know well enough that when the electricity starts going haywire, something is wrong. This happens when Mike’s mother and his little sister Holly come over to give a pity casserole to Joyce in her time of need. She figures out a better way to communicate with Will instead of their system of blinking lights to ‘yes’ or ‘no’ questions. She writes out the ABC’s on the living room wall, never mind the fact that it looks creepy as all get out, and starts having her son spell out his answers. Will responds to his mother by saying that he’s ‘R-I-G-H-T-H-E-R-E’ before telling her to run. At the same time, Hooper going to the laboratory and ask to see videotaps the day of the disappearance WIll, Hopper and his cops conclude that the footage is false since the footage lacked the rain that was occurring when they were searching for Will that night. But in the end, Will's body is finding. Hooper think it's not a normal situation and we feel that he will attempt to discover the truth.

That 3rd episode was great. My suspicion was borne out in the 4th though. I've just finished 4 and 5 and there are a lot of great themes that could be examined in this series.

Season 1 Episod 4 

Mike is upset with ‘Eleven’, blaming her for providing false hope when she had said to him and his friends that Will was alive. They had, instead, been there when the police were called in to pull Will’s body from the quarry. ‘Eleven’ uses her powers to connect to Will in the other dimension in order to prove to Mike that his friend is alive. They lose the signal to Will, but Mike thinks that they can get a better signal from their school if they use the AV club radio. 
After assmebly for Will's disparition, the gang head to the AV lab where ‘Eleven’ is able to connect them to Will. Joyce is able to connect Will at the same time but a danger arrive and Will must leave. Eleven try to stay in connection with Will and she causes the destruction of equipment.
At the same time, Nancy search Barb, for this, she asks Jonathan, the photography of barb next the pool. On this picture, they see the monster.
Hopper can’t shake the feeling that something is off. He go to the hospital and takes out his knife and slices Will open, revealing that his body is a dummy stuffed with cotton.

Season 1 Episod 5
Joyce admits to not being able to “feel” Will anymore after she saw and heard him through the wall at the end of the previous episode. Hopper breaks into Hawkins Lab to look for Will. The boys think he is trapped in an alternate dimension. They use their gameboard to depict Will being “on the other side” to which Dustin says it’s like “The Vale of Shadows” which is a dark reflection or echo of the world that’s full of decay and a death. A plane of our phase and where monster exist. It’s right next to you but you don’t see it. Meanwhile, Hopper sees the opening to the alternate dimension before being apprehended.

Cue the credits. A lot happened in those opening minutes but it still couldn’t stop the family from holding Will funeral's, despite the belief from his loved one that he is alive, somewhere. Hopper wakes up in a panic after he was caught in the lab and finds a bug in his trailer. He knows there is a full-blown conspiracy here and he is catching on to them. Hopper learns State police keep finding their way into this case when they report they found Barbara’s car at a bus station to play into the narrative that she ran away.Flash forward to the present where Eleven, Mike, Dustin and Lucas are following their compasses to the true north with the hopes of finding the gate to save Will.Nancy and Jonathan continue their unlikely alliance to find and kill the monster. They are in the woods late at night They go investigating when Nancy hears sees a strange opening at the bottom of a tree trunk that leads to the alternate dimension. She is separated from Jonathan, but they can both hear each other, and now she’s in real trouble because the monster spotted her.

Season 1 Episod 6

Nancy is able to follow Jonathan’s voice and escape the monster to get back to the real world and out of the alternate dimension. Jonathan and Nancy are spooked and she has him sleep in her bed, but it’s out of fear, but her boyfriend Steve saw them in bed through her window anyways. Hopper now thinks to himself that he may have found another missing kid while looking for Will. Meanwhile, Hopper and Joyce are trying to track down Will and that leads them to Mrs. Ives who we learned earlier sued Brenner for taking her daughter and performing LSD mind expansion experiments. Jonathan and Nancy gear up for monster hunting but before they can get back to the woods, Steve confronts him and Nancy after seeing them together. Jonathan ends up beating the crap out of Steve and gets arrested.We cut away to Eleven in her bathtub where she is supposed to make contact with the monster.
