The war in Ukraine is impacting the world of sport, it’s not without consequences for Russia. Tennis, football, volleyball, Formula 1, since the beginning of the invasion, the world of sport is mobilized. For example, before the kick-off of the match against Bayern Munich, Frankfurt displayed the message "Stop it Putin" all around the stadium. In addition, several competitions have decided to boycott Moscow. Moreover, the final of the Champions League has been moved to France and the Russian Grand Prix in Formula 1 that was to take place in September has been canceled.

an atomic war? Ukraine is a country with a heavy nuclear liability since Chernobyl. Moreover the Russian have in the night from Thursday to Friday hit the infrastructures of the nuclear power plant of Zaporijia which is the largest in Europe. This quickly declared a fire but Ukraine and the International Atomic Energy Agency seem to assure that no reactor was hit and that the radioactivity level is still stable. Employees of the plant begged the Russian soldiers to stop "shooting at a dangerous nuclear facility" screaming that they were threatening "the safety of the whole world".

It has now been two weeks since the inhabitants of Ukraine have been bombarded by Russia... Two days ago, Wednesday February 9, three people, including a child, were killed and several were injured in the Russian bombardment a pediatric hospital, which housed a maternity ward, in Mariupol. The UN spokesperson then recalled that no health facility “should not be a target”. Indeed it is an inhuman act to attack vulnerable and defenseless people who have asked for nothing.

The world's population has changed. We don't know war, and yet towns are bombed not far away in Europe. Today there are at least 14,000 dead, and about 2.6 million displaced people who are taking refuge where they can. Children are dying under the Russian bombardment. How far will Russian President Vladimir Putin go? The French help the Ukrainians. France welcomes Ukrainians fleeing the war. But France, like other countries, are afraid of economic reprisals, but above all military. The countries bordering Russia are currently wondering if the Russian president would not want to invade other countries.

At the beginning of the war, I remember thinking that it was going to be very fast.
The Russian army is number two in the world while the Ukrainian army is twenty-second so they were going to be massacred.
I am very surprised (and "happy") to see that the Russians have still not taken the Ukrainian capital, Kiev and that the people have taken up arms to defend their country.
It's a very courageous population just like their president who remains to fight.
I'm also happy to see that French donations are pouring in, but I find it sad that we have to wait a war for people to decide to give.
Before the war there was already the red cross and yet people seem to discover it.

I don't necessarily want to talk about this war. After the health crisis, here we are at war, what will it be next time..? Currently, according to the ONU, there would be at least 636 civilians killed, Nearly 380 schools damaged or completely destroyed. There are around 150,000 people evacuated through humanitarian corridors in Ukraine.

The war in Ukraine... A very sad story. We all studied wars in school textbooks, but now it's the present, and we are currently living one. With all the past wars, all the deaths caused by them, I do not understand how such acts can still exist today. It's horrible, and I can't imagine how hard it must be for Ukrainian civilians to live such a situation. We talk a lot about Ukraine, but other countries have been living such situations for a long time already... We don't know everything about the horrors of the world and we will probably never know all the truths, but there are indeed horrible acts everywhere and all the time unfortunately.
