The Cut is the story of a 1915 Armenian genocide survivor who tries to find his two daughters.
This film was directed by Fatih Akin of Turkish origin.
The main character, Nazaret Manoogian, is an Armenian architect of the small town of Mardin.
One night, the Turkish soldiers arrive home, supposedly to have him join the empire's troops, in reality it will be led to a concentration camp or he will be forced to work to build roads.
It will be separated from his wife and two daughters.
He will survive this first extermination. Consequently he will learn that his two daughters are still alive Driven by the hope of finding them, he began searching for his two daughters.

Director Fatih Akin surprised me what courage, all my respect. He took a great risk of Turkish origin. Hat more and he dedicates this film Agos Armenian journalist who was murdered by a Turk in 2007.
This film touched my lot, even if it's a tricky question the Armenian genocide I hope one day genocide will be recognized by Turkey
