Seriously if I had the opportunity to travel abroad, now I would avoid many countries with all terrorist risks so I would certainly go to the United States to discover this country that we hear so much since birth: "the greatest world power."
But actually I’m not very interested in abroad travel, France should me greatly. It is for me one of the best countries to be born as possible; we have many advantages over well in many countries.
The south of France or the mountainous regions offer many holiday opportunities. I especially like the beaches of the ocean edge that can greatly enjoy the summer.

Yes, for example, but I unfortunately never the chance to go to Soulac precisely. Maybe I'll go this summer!

Hello everybody I will speak you about travels.
Even if I had the chance to make some travels in my life , don't worry I wont tell you my life. It is not very interesting for you.
Travel is something really fantastic because we can discover new culture and new way of life even more if we have the chance to leave European Union.
It really change us of our daily.
There is many kind of travels that I find fantastic.
Even if it's always in Europe, Erasmus travels for example permit us to improve us language level, to meet people very different but I think i'm not ready yet for this because i don't speak english well enough. I hope not for a long.
Travel during holidays are the best for my opinion because we are with us family or with us friends and it permit to enjoy more . With sunshine of course, I'm not a fan of England or Germany for example because it's always raining. It raining more than Poitiers.
However, with what it happening in the world today mainly in the African and Middle East country, it slow down the desire to travel. Some tourists get attacked and occasionally are taked hostage...
When we hear this in the JT, we think that we are more in security in France.
Even to take the plane can be dangerous today.
Finally although I went to several country, I never went out of european union.
I would like very much to go to United states, in China or in Japan for really discover something different of my way of life.
Have a nice week end !

Re: Group 1 First topic S2 - Travel.
Hi everybody!
Today I will obviously talk about my Erasmus trip in Lisbon, because I did not have the change to do so many trips in my life (actually, Lisbon was my first one in a foreign country). It was basically the most amazing experience (for the moment) in my life. Lisbon is a beautiful city, very safe and dynamic. It is diversified, it combines history (some monuments are famous like “a Torre de Belem”, or “o Padrão dos Descobrimentos”), with tourism (a very old city with a lot of french tourists) and nightlife (In the “Bairro Alto”, the neighborhood with all the cheapest bars and club). In the Lisbon area, there are also nice places to visit: some beaches, like Carcavelos or Cascais, where you can surf, swim or see the sunset (even in November), but also historic places, like Sintra, a village with some amazing landscapes and castles.
I would also like to tell you about a travel I did during my first semester in Lisbon. In December, I went with some friends in Azores, an archipelago in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, which belongs to Portugal. We went by plane in Ponta Delgada, the main city, we slept in a hostel and we rented a car because the island is very big. We took the car to go to the most important place to visit, Sete Cidades (Seven Cities in English), a lake surrounded with mountains. We parked, and we hiked during 5h around this lake, in the mountains. Sometimes we were so high that we were in the clouds. We saw there a beautiful sunset. We spent the other days driving around on the island, visiting some other lakes, mountains or cities. We also tried some meet cooked in natural hot springs, but it was not so tasty. Obviously, the Azores are not the place to go if you care about the nightlife: we tried to find some good bars or clubs, but we ended every day in the same bar, almost empty. This is what is incredible with Azores: you have a lot of different landscapes: mountains (the highest altitude is 1105m), hills, lakes, and the ocean. There are also hot baths from natural springs, which are amazing after a day of hiking. However, São Miguel (the main island of Azores) is not so touristic; there are some hidden amazing places. The fauna and the flora are diversified. I advise everybody to go there, I saw there the most wonderful landscapes I ever seen.

Hey Guys,
Well for me, I'd travel a bit in europe, in Greece, Italy, Spain or Belgium. But just before Christmas, I'd choose to spend four days in Belfast, in Northern Ireland. It was really awesome, and on the Christmas period this is amazing. There's a big and beautiful Christmas market in front of the City Hall of Belfast.
Of course my trip in Belgium made me discover a lot of city like Gent or Brussels but when you see a city like Belfast, well it's difficult to get over it.
The most amazing thing in Belfast is the contrast between the independent part of the city and the nationalist part. It's the result of war, and fight of the middle of the century.
In thought that I could die in the plane, but it was really awesome !

Hello every one,
For me, I’m a person who really like travel. Honestly, I didn’t travel many places in China. On the contrary, I’ve traveled a few places in Europe. Because when I was in china, I should work for my parents or go to the cram school in holidays. Since I have no money and no time, I’ve hardly traveled before I came in France. In fact, you can see through my experience the different lifestyle between Chinese and French. We have a much higher pace of life in China than in France.
First of all, we didn’t have that much holidays. Besides, people work even much harder in holidays to enrich their own for a better job or a better income. Compared to the past few years, the living standard has increased a lot. We can see more and more young people pay attention to relaxation. But for the generation of our parents, it seems that they still have difficult to put aside their business and go to travel. Finally, I’d like to mention that some people are willing to go to travel by taking full advantage of the money they have even though that will lower the quality of your voyage since they don’t have enough money. However, other people would like to travel only when they have enough money to satisfy all their expectation in hotel, means of transportation and the restaurants etc. What do you think of that?

Re: Group 1 First topic S2 - Travel.
Hey all!
So I traveled around France if I want to recap my opportunities (so nearlly all neighboring countries), it was always a bit short but we learn by traveling for sure.
Travel in really close countries is more important for me, as I think it's important to know the world around us, but ofc if I can go beyond Europe a day I think it'll be great. I actually still (yes consider it as a dream) want to go in Danemark, I'm really curious how is the way of life in this Scandinavian country. There are some points that I heard, read, etc ... about it and make me thing that's an attractive place to visit to improve yourself (about culture, well-being, health in general and misc thingies!).

When I was younger I'd travel without enough money and it was great. Now that I'm old I only travel when I have enough money, that's even better.

Denmark is great but like Sweden it's very expensive.

Hello everybody,
I travelled to Italy and Spain. I have many good memories concerning these travel. I think that to visit a country that one doesn't know brings much.
Indeed, I think that my voyages enabled me to better include people, of familiarizing myself with another culture.
I think, it's not necessary to have many money but it's nevertheless necessary to have some. Indeed, it's necessary to have a minimum of money to be able to place, to eat and to move themselves.

Re: Group 1 First topic S2 - Travel.
I wish I could spend my life traveling around. I think there is soo much to see around the world. I realy like to discover new cultures and try to get under the skin so I can understand it. Also I have the luck to have a foreign father and parents that love traveling. I guess that's way we always traveled even though we were 4 kids and we weren't rich. I also chose to be an exchange student for a year when I was youger, and that was a great experience, it brought me a lot and I realy recommend it now.
I will always keep traveling because I like to understand the way of thinking of other people. Moreover it is so easy and cheap now to travel ! We are so lucky because with a french passport we can go nearly anywhere in the world! We don't even need a passport to travel within the European Union. And traveling is also cheap! You can find realy cheap train tickets or even use blablacar, you can sleep anywhere for free and even meet locals with "coachsurfing" or get an awesome flat with "airbnb". We can even get cheap fly with the lowcost airlines! Anyways, there is so may more opportunities for us than there was for our parents! I think we have to take all these opportunities to travel because our parents couldn't at our age!

Re: Group 1 First topic S2 - Travel.
Hello everybody,
I will talk about my travel to come back to France after my Erasmus. I chose to take the bus. For 2 reasons : The first one its because the bus is less expensive than the plane. And also because my suitcases were to heavy because of the number of bottle of Borovicka (Slovak alcohol, that i wanted to share with my french friends). But obviously the travel by bus was longer than by plane.
I took my first bus from Banska to Bratislava the saturday at 13:00. It was cool, free coffee and free wifi, i like it. I arrived in Bratislava at 16:30. The next bus is at 18:00. But this bus never came. I was angry with that. Now I have to stay one night in Bratislava. So sunday, at 9:00 i tried again to leave slovakia. But i change my direction, because there are no bus from bratislava to France before 3 days. At 14:00 i arrived in Prague. Very nice city, and very nice burger king. At 16:30 direction Berlin. And finally at 21:00 direction Paris. At 11:00 i arrived in Paris. My last bus was Paris to Limoges. I arrived Monday at 17:30.
To sum up, 35 hours, 3 days, 2338 km and 5 countries. Long live the Bus !

Hi,
During my fourth, I went to Greece because I practiced Latin. It was a long trip a long journey (bus, ferry, bus,..) but it was a class trip with friends, it was cool. In Greece we have visited many things : ruin, ruin and yet ruin... Otherwise Greece have beautiful beaches an d landscapes !
In first, I have stayed 10 days in my Spanish correspondent to Isla Cristina in Andalousia. Yet a long journey and class trip but it was a great trip with good visits, views, beaches. I have discovered customs and spanish life, a family, the spanish education and others. Wonderful memories !!
If not I have not traveled in other countries with family but I come back in Spain, Barcelona, this summer.
