Hello guys ! Cool

I hope Marmite testings didn't make you sick ! Embarassed

Concerning the subject of this week, I'm fond of travelling ! I've been to Morocco, Indonesia (Bali), Czech Republic, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Ireland, England, and Italy.

I enjoyed every travel I did, although I prefer feel totally immersed in a culture different than the European one.

One of my life's goals is to go around the world, to discover as many cultures as possible. I would definitely love to go to Egypt and Peru. Indeed, I like history and all kinds of mythologies and I wanted to become an archaeologist (Ok, so why am I here??!...) when I was a child.

Morover, I'm passionate by Japan and its culture. One of my other dream is to visit New Zealand, and make a "Lord Of The Rings" roadtrip !

I'd like to study in Sweden next semester, because I'd really want to discover Scandinavian's culture. I would also love to admire Nothern Lights and nordic landscapes. Very Happy

Lastly, I'm really attracted by unusual/freaks journeys, in which you can discover weirds monuments/museums or natural's process. For instance, "The Door to Hell" in Turkmenistan seems to be impressive. I think that it's interesting to be disturbed by things like that and, also, to be curious about such places, because it could be amazing ones !!

According to me, travelling is one of the most rewarding things you can do in a lifetime...!

Well, what about you ? Do you want to go abroad in January ? Or maybe for an internship ? Smile Where have you been ? Who would love to work and live in a foreign country in the future ?

Have a nice evening cheers (I'm still waiting for the raclette party!)

Hi,

Céline, You have already traveled a lot. I would also like to visit Turkey, you can maybe able to give me some advice Wink.

For my part, I have already been in England, Spain, Poland, Australia and New Zealand.

In Australia I had the opportunity to make a road trip all around the country, it was an extraordinary experience. I loved being immersed in a different culture from our own. The Australians are really friendly and welcoming. The landscapes are wonderful. I had a favorite for Tasmania, with its lovely beaches, mountains and people very helpful.

In New Zealand I didn't have the opportunity to make the "Lord of the Rings" road, but if you have the opportunity to go one day I advise you to visit the Fiorlands and Abel Tasman Smile
Like you Céline, I dream of going around the world, to discover many landscapes and especially new cultures.
My future project, I hope, is to visit all of Europe, with the interrail pass. But I would also like to travel in Latin America by hitchhiking.

Have a nice day !

Hey

Céline I'm jealous ! It's my dream to visit Sweden, there are so many beautiful landscapes over there !
For my part, I visited some countries like Italie, Greece, England, Poland and almost all the cities of Spain.
Like you girls I want to travel around the world but berfore that I have to work Sad
I would like to work in different countries to discover the culture and meet people with a different way of life.
Moreover there are countries I would never go to such as North Corea for example...

I think my next trip will be Canada because one of my best friends lives there for two years now and I didn't get a chance to visit her ! We have planned to do a roadtrip to discover Canadian west. Is anyone here who visited Canada ?

But for the moment my favorite place is still here in France, in the west coast such as Oléron and Ré island, Royan... I love you

Hi guys,

For my part, I've been to Marroco, Spain, Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, England, Peru, Thailand and New zeland. I really loved Peru because I could find out what america latina culture was. I visited a lot of places like Cuzco, Arequipa, Titicaca lake in Bolivia part, etc. I was with my friend (she was doing and exchange there) so she knew a lot of places to go and make parties in Lima. For example, I discovered Reggaeton music and I quite enjoyed it because it's part of the latina culture. I didn't know this king of music before (I mean I knew but not listenning) so I could danced on it.
New Zeland was so great too. I think that the most beautiful country I've ever been. Lakes, mountains, the lands of suffer and everything were just amazing to look at. People there are so kind, always willing to help you. For example, a day with my friend we were in the countryside and we had a problem with our car. Thanksfully, a farm was just next to us and we asked to the farmer to help us. Then, he checked to our car and give us a full canister of cooling liquid (such a nice guy!!!).

Like Clémence I would like to go to Canada too. I hope that after my studies I could go and stay 1 or 2 years there to work and travel. But sorry Clemence I can't answer to your question because I know anything about Canada. Rolling Eyes

Hey everyone,

I also love travelling. Being in contact with other cultures is one of the greatest experiences in life.

I've not been in a lot of countries, because Brazil sooo big and there are all these amazing places to go, like the beaches on the northeast coast, the historical cities and the natural parcs, caves and waterfalls.

But I already lived in United States and Canada for a short period of time. In USA, I did a work and travel program, and I got to work in a casino in Connecticut for three months. It was really fun. I went to New York and Boston a couple of times, during Christmas holidays, and it was beautiful. In Canada I spent four months learning french, in Montreal. And I think it's the most incredible city ever. I wish I could live there forever. Everything works great, people are kind and there are a lot of things to do and places to go.

So, Clémence e Maelys, I don't know where you're planning on going, but I strongly recommend Montreal.  I love you

In Europe, I was just here in Angouleme Crying or Very sad , but I'm planning to go do Paris, Bordeaux, Amsterdam and London soon. In fact, I can't wait to go bounce

Hey,

For me travel is always an awesome experience. I already in England, Spain, Tunisia, or Czech Republic (this summer).

But two of my travel have a privileged place in my heart.

I spent christmas 2014 in Dubaï. Celebrate christmas with a 30 degree temperatue change the habits Shocked When i was in Dubaï, i had the opportunity to swin in the sea during the christmas day, test the indoor ski piste, visit the Burj Khalifa (the biggest tower of the world). I was also present in Dubaï during the New Year. So i've see the incredible firework of the burj khalifa, 15 minutes of pure happiness Very Happy
Dubaï was cool because All is bigger than in France, Dubai is an enormous city lost in the desert with big tower, a lot of sport car and crazy things (Palm island, fantastic aquatic park ...) and it was also cool because when i was swimming in the sea and have sunbeath on the beach, my friends was in france with snow and wind Cool

Better than Dubaï, my favorite travel was my trip in India. I was in India to realise a humanitarian mission during 3 weeks. i was in Bangalore, a city in the south of India. My missions were to help poor people in villages to repair their houses, give to children a little education and give them supplies like food, pens or notebooks. The communication was complicated with them because they was far the civilization activity, so they didn't speak english, just hindi.
I also help 2 orphanage to take care of the orphan children. I saw children with really important handicap, blind or mute. It was complicated for me at the beggining, but with 1 or 2 days of adaptation I understood that it was and it gonna be the best experience of all my live. By making just little things, i helped peoples and childrens, and help them to feel better.
To End my trip in India, i spent 3 days in New Delhi, to visit the city and see the Taj Mahal, that was FANTASTIC.

I hope to return in India soon, to continue to help people and discover better this beautiful country Smile

I always intended to do humanitarian missions during my summers, especially India. I volunteered for both India and Africa in the past but the price of the airplane tickets was incredibly high - especially India - so I couldn't go. Did you pay for your own flights?

Dubai - and a few other countries in the region like Saudi Arabia - has never really interested me but only because of the way they treat foreign labour (and some parts of their own people). Ethically I have a problem giving to the few abusive rich. You do make it sound great though.

Good to know it John Very Happy

Yes i paid for my own flights. It was not really "expansive", but i did my humanitarian mission in february. I think the tickets are cheaper during this month than during summer. It is preferable to go in india during this period because it is not too hot (35 degrees of average) because the temperature is too important during summer and this is difficult to support it.

For Dubaï i am agree with you. This is not the country of the humans rights like France, but begin to open to the world.
I went to Dubaï to visit my sister who realized an internship for "l'Alliance Française" an association who promote the french culture in other countries, and the goal of this travel was just to do crazy things in a crazy place Cool
If you want to have fun time during your holidays Dubaï is for you but your point of view isreally understable Very Happy

Hi guys !

I have done a humanitarian mission too with my friend in February like you Eudes ! I did "4L Trophy". It is a rally in 4L cars, and I go to Marocco to give school supplies to children who live in the desert. It was an incredible experience, so enriching! So, thanks to this project I visited Marocco.

Then, when I was fifteen, I went to United States, more exactly in California in San Francisco. I lived for two weeks with an american family and I went to school with my correspondent and it was so cool and fun, I though I was in an american serie ! Razz

Also, I went to Spain because I have family over there and I went to England, when I was twelve, during a school's trip.

I think my next trip will be in New Zealand because one of my friends was gone to live in this country and I hope one day I could go over there and what you have written Maylis about this country make me even more excited to go in!!! Very Happy

Hello everybody ! You have traveled a lot and I find it soooooo great Very Happy

For my part, I made two important trips with my parents when I was younger. Indeed, I had the chance to go to the Canary Islands in Spain when I was 7 years old. I visited the biggest island of the Canary Islands, the volcanic island of Tenerif and the small island of La Gomera. I remember seeing a lot of botanical species and animals like dolphins and it was wonderful !!

I was also in Morocco when I was 10 years old and more precisely in Marakech where I obviously visited the magnificent Majorelle garden. There, I also went to the Maroccan desert, at the collar of the tchika in Ouarzazate. I also remember visiting the marquetry of the typical town of Essaouira on the Atlantic Ocean. Even though I was so young, I keep very greats memories of these places.

Otherwise, during my last year of high school, I went on a school trip to London but I would like to go back to visit England because one week was too short.

The destinations that I would like to go to are Italy, the Balearic Islands, Australia and Canada !

Oooooh… ! I’m so sad Crying or Very sad I would love to travel as much as you and have so many incredible experiences to live ...!

I agree with Florine : « You have traveled a lot ». For my part, I only traveled twice: Spain and Switzerland. In the hot and cold, it was interesting to discover new customs : shops, foods, standard of living ... This is why, I’m jealous all of you.. Because I haven’t a lot of experience in this topic and I would like discover our world.

I think that in the future, I will catch up with this lost time (to have little traveled). In short, all your comments made me want to escape (travel). cheers

Gwenaelle, like you I didn't travel a lot... I traveled twice in Italy, I went to Venice but it was a school trip. And I went to London with friends only one week and it was one year ago. We visited a lot of monuments but we didn't speak with english people, we didn't have a lot of time... So I hope that I will go on an erasmus exchange in Spain to meet new people, a new culture and a new country, it would be very exciting and interesting Very Happy

Post by Vincent Balthazar Sun Oct 08, 2017 4:54 pm

Hello,

Like Gwenaelle and Marie, I did not travel a lot. When I was younger, I have visited Morocco because of my origins. Indeed, my mother was born in Fès in Morocco, so with my parents we have decided to go in this city. What shocked me the most, was the poverty... In my family, for example, the toilets were in the kitchen without door, the floor wasn't clean, and we have to take our shower in a big bowl.

However, I would like to visit USA, and live the American dream  cheers . But I have to improve my level in english  king . I don't want to go in the center of Africa or middle east because it's too dangerous, and I don't want to die  lol! Maybe later when the conflicts, or the humans right will be finished or respected.

Have a nice day ! Smile

As many classmates, I haven't traveled a lot in my life, only some countries in europe! With my parents it's only sunny countries like Balearic Islands or Canary Islands! Besides I would have liked to learn Spanish maybe it would have served me better than Japanese Very Happy

Fews months ago, I spend some times in Sevilla, it's an amazing city!! The monuments are extraordinary, and I was in a typical family with heads of bulls hanging on the wall! It was during the feria, it was just beautiful, the whole town was riding with a lot of class, not like the Ferias of the South of France where everybody is just drinking Wink

My most rewarding experience was ireland, because I spend 6 months in this country, I was working in a wine bar in communication, I organised lot of wine mastersclass ! It's like Erasmus, but when you aren't at school it's Pôle Emploi takes care of you, so it was better, free plane, free accommodations (in the city center with all the pubs!). But I wanted to go back to school in Angoulême Smile

I would like to travel a little bit further, but I must admit that my parents don't really encourage me in this process...they are a little bit stressed about it! My mother is able to wreck wifi to prevent us from buying a plane ticket Shocked but hopefully I have a sister who is older as me and she tries to evolve them on this subject! So one day I will go to celebrate Christmas in the sun, like Eudes and Maelys!

Hi guys!

I travel a lot!! I really like to discover differents countries! I'm lucky because my family like it too! We went in Norway, Indonesia, Egypt, Spain, Maroco, Croatia and Italy many times....
I went in Brasil for the Youth World Days in 2013, it was awesome! I met many people from differents countries, it was incredible! I slept in families, they were so kind with us, I will never forget!
I've been in Chicago when I was in highschool to be an au pair. I relly like to go there! Thanks to that I've improved my english (I was so bad in class, you cannot imagine ^^')

I think traveling is a very good way to learn about ourself and learn about the life, meet people, have friends and discover many things which could help us in the future!

Hello everyone !
I love traveling a lot, like Céline I would like to go around the world to see different cultures and see beautiful landscapes.
I was lucky enough to be able to leave several times, I went to London, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands in Amsterdam.
I am of Spanish origin and I often go to Spain, I love the culture of this country and the open-mindedness of the Spaniards, and the landscapes that can be seen.
I love animals very much, and when I go to a foreign country or a foreign city I do the zoo of this city or this country even if I do a lot in France.
I've been dreaming of going to the "Big Apple" since I was little because this city fascinates me in every way. And I hope one day realized this dream.
I would also like to go to China to see pandas because I am a big fan of panda!
Kisses to all !
