Episode 1 becomes in the restaurant where Quinn Perkin, a famous lawyer impart that she’s hire to Olivia Pope, a famous woman ready to help these customers dosen’t matter the price if she thinks that they tell the verity.
Olivia Pope help out to the war veteran Sulliman St James who accused to have killed this best friend. Associates of Olivia Pope will look all evidence as possible to innocent him. She arrives to prove Sulliman St James’s innocence because he saw the murder night kissing an boy.
Olivia Pope help out also to the assistant at the White House Amanda Tanner, who accuses the President of the United States Fitzgerald Grant to get laided with her. We learn in the episode that Olivia Pope had also an affair with the president.

In the second episode, the client to Olivia Pope names Sharon Marquette. She’s a keeper who is being investigated by the prosecutor's office. This lady had treasured the customer list. Olivia Pope protects this list because it may contain the name of the rich and influential people, especially future Supreme Judge of justice. In the end, we learn that the wife of the future Supreme Judge was prostitute but didn’t say anything for fear to lose sight of somebody. He wasn’t a client.
At the same time, Quinn, the new, must keep an eye on Amanda Tanner and must be protect her against curious journalist.

This episode 3 begin with the trial charge millionaire son’ with murder. Olivia Pope accepts to charge to matter to do mother son’ a disservice. But nobody believes in the innocence of the boy. Progressively, we learn that the accuse raped the best friend of the victim. The victim wanted to avenge her.
In parallel, Olivia wants to help Amanda Tanner that she accused wrongly in the episode 1. The woman claims a meeting with the President Grant. But the face to face will not happen because of past between president and Olivia Pope.

I find that episode are more and more interesting, there are more suspenses and the story of customers that should help Olivia are more intriguing.

The episode 4 begins with the invasion of the Olivia Pope desk by a military army of a dictator. His family kidnapped and he asks help her. She accepts despite that her team was against. The dictator family' found. We are a fast learner that the mother avoided contact and took children with her because she doesn't love her husband but was afraid to tell him. Later in the series, Olivia helps the mother. She managed to leave her husband and keep custody.

Amanda Tanner, the client of the Olivia, want really to have an interview with the president who is the father of her future child. Mr Beene, the associate of the president protects rumor's president. He will search the past of associates Olivia.

The new associate, Quinn, meeting again the reporter from the sensationalist and they perilously close.

At the end of the fourth episode, Amanda Tanner kidnapped. An Olivia Pope associates finds that Amanda Tanneur killed. Olivia asks one of his associate, an ancient serial killer that she helped once, to find the body if he agrees. The man accepts. He will torture the murderer, who was his ancient serial killer friend. The body recovered at the bottom of the water. Olivia Pope believe that Amanda killed on demand of president and she wants him terribly. But, the president didn’t seem to know of the Amanda’s death.

In parallel, a plane crash killed 119 people. Olivia and his team seek the reason of this crash. Media tells that the crash occurred because an employee hasn’t listened order of the pilot when the plan traversed a dangerous air hole. Before, the employee was an alcoholic but, she hadn’t been drinking for 20 years ago. Through research, Olivia team’s learns that the paper plane doesn't in order. There was a failure during the flight. Indeed, when we listen to the recording of the black box, we can listen that the employee dries put the lever to the left as the pilot requested her. Olivia succeeds again to prove innocence of deceased employee.
