Tv series to recommend or not.

What have you been watching? Do you recommend it or advise us to stay away from it? why?

GA and HTGAWM are baaaaack !!!
Both series started a way I liked. I think that I preferred GA's two episodes.

What are you currently watching John ? (I soon will finish Glee and so I'm looking for some new series )

Because I was around for the first Star Trek series in the 1960's I've started the new Star Trek Discovery, only 2 episodes so far, seems fine but seems to be overpopulated with Women in positions of command. I'm sure the natural balance will resume soon. I've also got a lot of new "detective" series to watch.

I don't think you've tried Justified yet. Give a it a go.

Stranger things has a second season out very soon.

People have been telling me that Ozark is good - I think it's a bit like Breaking bad, but I haven't watched it yet.

I'm going to watch Strike - a detective written by JK Rowling.

Did you watch Taboo? Interesting if a bit disturbing.

I did watch Taboo (and finished it before you :p ), and I agree with you. But I love the main actor so I enjoyed watching him

As for Peaky Blinders my boyfriend wanted to watch it, so I'm waiting to see if we're going to watch it together or not !

I tried Happy Valley but it wasn't at my taste so after one or two episodes I gave up.

Can't wait for Stranger things to start again !

I watched Ozark's and Strike's trailers, maybe I'll watch the two series, I'm going to add them to my to watch list.

I ended up the other day reading some discussions you started about series with the Cepe' students, and I that gave me some ideas about new series to watch.

Watched the first 3 episodes of strike yesterday. It was enjoyable in a soft kind of way.

Peaky Blinder is a very good series!!

I actually watch Suits! I really like it! It's about a guy whom is started a job in a law office, but he didn't took the bar exam...
I also watch The Big Bang Theory

I finished Orphan Black and that series was really good !
I'm currently also watching Cleverman which is kind of a supernatural series about tolerance. I like it.

I have to watch the second season of Versailles this week. Have you seen it yet John ?

I spoked once with someone about Suits but I still haven't watched it yet. I have too many series in my to watch list !!!
I think I'm gonna watch the Handmaid's Tale this week.

In the end, I'll watch Versailles later.
Since Monday I've watched the Handmaid's Tale and The good place.
I loved the Good Place, but I don't think you'll like it John. You might think it's too girly.
As for the Handmaid's Tale, it's about a really difficult subject. I liked it even if it's not the most joyful series.

Tonight, Mr Robot is restarting and I'll start watching The man in the high castle, a series that Laure recommended me few weeks ago.

My wife loved the man in the high castle - I found it interesting but with too many holes in the plot- I have the second season for her but haven't got around to watching it yet. Mr.Robot - I liked the first season but it is not a series with a lot of action. My wife found it boring. I haven't watched the second but I might if I have time to myself.

We just finished Tin star which was a good series with great acting and we watched the final (ever) Inspector George Gently episode which was sad - It's always difficult to watch the last episode in a series that you have followed for a decade. It's a bit like a family death (well you know what I mean).

Presently watching Mr.Mercedes which is good so far and Star Trek which is up and down and Doc Martin which is quite calm senior british comedy. I think the new Peaky Blinders starts next week, so will watch that.

I agree with you about Mr Robot, I'm still watching because I hate not to see the end of series...

I find the plot in The Man in the High Castle well done, there is always something new, and the quest to know who is the man in question and how the films are made so interesting !

I discovered a new series you might like. It's called The Good Doctor. It has similarities with Doctor House. The first season started a few weeks ago.

Also Frontier has restarted, did you watched it last year ? It's about the fur trade.

I'm surprised you didn't mentioned Stranger Things ! I still haven't seen it, I didn't had internet the past few days !

I watched the first few episodes of Frontier because I like Jason Momoa (at least from Stargate) but I couldn't get into it. I still have the rest on my computer to watch.

I've also just finished season 6 of Longmire. It's the final season so a little sad but they knew in advance and tied up the loose ends up - some more satisfactorily than others. You'll possobly like it Gaelle, he's a sheriff in wyoming, nowhere near as good as justified but a pleasant watch. Ozark was good too. I've still not started the second season of Stranger things.

I still haven't seen Stranger Things 2, I tried yesterday but couldn't find any link working to watch the 1st ep. So I started Outlander, and liked it !

I've watch Alias Grace and it was a good story. As for Gunpowder it's short so you won't miss much time watching it. And I think you'll like it John

Ozark is in my too watch list, but with Outlander it will be in a few weeks before I'm able to watch it !

I've started Riverdale, you won't like it John. It's too much of a teen series for your taste ! haha
