In 2013 it was the same problem with Ribery who realised the triple ( cup, championship and champions league) but he finished third behind Ronaldo and Messi. So we can ask ourselves if as long as Messi and Ronaldo are present there can be another winner of the golden ball ?

The football is know the most popular sport in the world. So we have to have big star, to represent big nations on the Field. The ego of the nation is very important in football . The popularity of the player give to the nation the monopole of the attention and so they can organize the championships in they own countrys, to become famous in this sport and also make a lot of monney, specially when we talk about football championship. So we created prices, like "the golden ball" , to disgnate the new star. First that was only for europeen player, but the FIFA buy it and it's become international. The player who wins the golden ball have specially skills, like celebrations dance after a goal (lol)

What's the Ballon d'Or ?The Ballon d'Or is an individual trophy that represents the best football player of the year and ranks him among the best players in the history of football. It was create by France Football, a french daily. The best player is named thanks to votes made by the coaches, the journalists and the various countries registered in the FIFA. This trophy consists of 6kg of gold.
At the begining, each years there was a new player who won this trophy, which made it more competitive, then there was some players who won 2 times like Platini, Zidane, Ronaldo (the real) and today there is C.Ronaldo, Messi who win this trophy 5 times. It made the event less attractive because we knew that in turn it was either Ronaldo or Messi at each time, but this year it's maybe the moment to have a revelation (Mbappé) or evidence (Modirc, Varane). In any case every player who has won this trophy, are great players.

The "ballon" d’or rewarded the best football player of the year, he was created in 1956 by the France football. They are 30 player nominated to receive this trophy. Then 1 journalist per country voted in an ascending order for the 5 players  who are the 5 better player in the world according to him. Of course all players dream to win this trophy but for me it’s stupide reward. I don’t understand why it exist a individual reward in the football, even though it’s a collective sport. So all rewards in football should be won in team i think.
