FOOD LOVERS
Hi there !
I've noticed that many of us (despite our poor student budgets) love cooking some exotic and glamorous food. That's why I found interesting to create this topic to share some tips and websites about it (in English of course)! Cooking with an English vocabulary will always help you to choose your favourite dish in a restaurant during your holidays abroad (who has ever been disappointed with its choice he/she misunderstood? ).
Just share everything you want about it if you want to
I'm beginning with a list including cool websites I already tried with some recipes :
- The one that everyone of you knows : https://tasty.co
- The best one : https://www.delish.com
- The avocadest : https://www.fooddeco.nl
- The more aesthetic : https://gatherandfeast.com
- The more appetising : https://pinchofyum.com
Others :
I hope you'll enjoy this topic and all the tips you'll find within!
Bon appétit

I think that's a super great idea!! Actually I really love to dicover new foods, and the cool thing in this class is that we have so many students from abrorad or students with differents origins like me . I think it could be a good idea to share recipes and photo of some traditionals food of our country, island or area.

Hi!
Like everyone knows I'm not a good cook. So now, you are asking why does she comment ?? Simply because I have to tell everyone that the best cook in the world (yes in the world, I'm not exaggerating) is ….Léa Abreu! With her, it's all home-made, even if pasta! She cooks bread, muesli, cheesecakes, aubergine curry, stuffed tomatoes, "brioches"... not to mention her fabulous "Paris-Brest"
(Yes, some of you may think that I'm doing this post in order to make Léa cook me a chocolate cake or cookies or lemon pie or everything else to thank me, and maybe you're right, or maybe not, who cares... )
Have a good snack !

The only cook I do well is sushis. Each time I cook it, I feel like being the queen of the world... until I taste it and realize that the rice is undercooked...

Re: FOOD LOVERS
Hi guys^^
My dad was born on a french island called " La réunion". There, we have a delicious and well-knowed in Metroppolitan France dish which is called "Rougail Saucisse". It doesn't look elegant at first but it's really good! The recipe is based on big sausage, tomato and spices so it's quiet easy to do. Here's is the recipe for the ones who want to try : https://cuisine.journaldesfemmes.fr/recette/342382-rougail-saucisses
For the dish to be complete, you [b]HAVE to serve it with some rice, as quiet all reunionese dishes do.
As Winter is comming, does somebody know a good vegetarian recipe that can be eaten when it's cold?

Hello Everybody !
I love food and I would like to discover a specific food for each of our different cultures.
I propose that one day we prepare a buffet and everyone cooks a meal from his region...

Re: FOOD LOVERS
so it's the second time i try to write here, i hope this time will be fine.
I like your idea Ravahiti !!! it would be nice if everyone prepapes typical recipes of his/her region or country and then we eat it together . In my case i will choose if i will prepare a morrocan or italian food ( or both ) .
I hope we can decide together a day to do this maybe during english classes and then we explain the recipe ( hé John?! what do you think?) in english of course.
Or maybe we can do a game where we have to guess which ingredients have been used
so in the meanwhile, i would like to share with you guys this website where you can find recipes of different countries in the world .
https://www.panningtheglobe.com/
Just go on the "recipes" category and choose the county you want.
I think i will try some greek recipes

Hello everyone!
I like the idea of the topic Sophie! thank you for the initiative
And for the proposition of Ravahiti, I'm in and I will cook traditional tunisian food
As winter is coming, I propose to share with you a recipe of lentil soup which is a tunisian recipe that my mother prepare often to support the cold weather.
- 300g of red lentils
- 1 onion
- 4 garlic
- olive oil
- 2 L water
- cumin
- salt
- paprika (for people who love spicy dishes like tunisian people )
- coffee spoon of concentrated tomato
It's too easy, try it and you will never regret

Actually I think it's a brilliant idea. Let's see if we can do it for a December class.
And Malek, you're a funny man. English food is awesome and the basis for food throughout the rest of the world.
English Breakfast
A Sunday Carvery
Roasts
Sweet delicious puddings
Cakes
Curries.
