Fishing consist to catch fish with a rod it can be different size , with or without a reel.
Depending on the fish you will use different rods, hooks, baits, lures, depth, and diametrer of fishing line. Your stuff must correspond to the place where you fish for exemple in the forest at a rive you will need a smal rod call ultralight (1.50-1.80m).When i fish i always release the fish. It not like we think that fishing is horrible for nature, environnement... Most of the people who said that had never put a feet in a forrest or they eat fish from overfishing so that makes me laugh.
