Synopsis of the film : The devil wears prada

Hi, i'll talk about the film : « The Devil Wears Prada ». « The Devil Wears Prada » was directed by David Frankel and released in 2006. The story was set in New York and Paris. The main character were Miranda Priestly, editor in chief Runway and Andrea Sachs, an aspiring journalist who had just graduated from university. After a rather icy interview, Andy was hired as Miranda's junior. Andy, who knew nothing about fashion, had problems adapting to the world of Runway but was helped by art director Nigel who lent her designer clothes. Miranda was a ruthless boss and gave Andy numerous tasks to carry out cach day. However, after providing Miranda with the name of important guest at a charity event when Emily couldn't remember it, Andy was chosen by Miranda to accompany her to the fall fashion show in Paris but Andy had to break this awful news to Emily, Miranda's senior assistant. Emily was pleased for Andy devastated as she had been looking forward to accompanying Miranda to this event and had been dieting to fit into the designer clothes she was going to wear for the occasion. Andy's boyfriend, Nate broke up with her because he no longer recognised the Andy he once loved. In Paris, Nigel told Andy that thanks to being recommended by Miranda, he had got the job of creative director with James Holt.
Just as Miranda was beginning to appreciate Andy, Andy reached a turnig-point in her life when she realised that she no longer wanted to work in the ruthless world of fashion.
She left Runway, went back to New york and met up with Nate again. She had an interview for a job at New York newspaper and was indirectly recommended by Miranda herself who told the interview that he should definitely hire Andy.
