On this topic, I would like to speak about U.S. TV series House of Cards.

To get started, I will introduce briefly the scenery of the U.S. series House of Cards on this topic.
For once, haters aren’t gonna hate. There will not spoiler on this post

House of Cards is a U.S. TV series broadcasted on Netflix since 2013 adapted from the British series which has the same name and herself adapted from the novel of Michel Dobbs. True Story.
Realized by Beau Willimon, it cost $100 million for the two first seasons. It depicts a certain reality with the main actor, Franck Underwood, Elected Democrat of the House of Representatives and whip of the majority. He will help Garrett Walker to be President of the United States of America. This one was required to elect Franck Underwood Secretary of State in return for her efforts during its presidential campaign. However, Linda Vasquez (Chief of the President’s cabinet) say to her that the president Garrett Walker doesn’t intend to choose him and fulfil his promise.
It was there that Franck Underwood began her strategy with his wife Claire Underwood to oppose such a plan of the new government and also reclaim the place of the Vice-President of United States of America. Together, they develop a lot of political ploy without compunction (Threats, corruptions, blackmail, press articles ...). For them, everything is good to achieve their goals, regain their power. It is all about getting someone's friends into positions such as a House of Cards.

First of all, when I’m in holiday, I DON’T work. Also, before and just a little after. I’m Perfectly aware that also your opinion. I will pretend you didn’t heard that and I will continue normally. 
Episode 1: Chapter Premier
The season begin by scene with a dog dying on the road crashed by car. Franck Underwood rushing to help it… Due to its bad state, he decides to shorten this suffering with pronouncing this expression “There are two kinds of pain. The sort of pain that makes you strong, or useless pain. The sort of pain that’s only suffering. I have no patience for useless things”. Now, we better understanding what kind of people is Franck.
The next scene is on the new-year’s celebration in ceremony with Democratic party. The main actor (Franck) present ant characters involved with lot of sarcasm. Per example “He looks happy enough, doesn’t he? For some, it’s simply the size of the chair” while designating the vice-president Jim Matthews.
After having introduced everyone, they continue the ceremony to celebrate the victory because they have support the good candidate on USA elections. And then, Franck learning bad news. Walker, the new President which he supported during the whole campaign will not keep its promise: The named Secretary of States. Furious, he begins to think about an action plan to recover its due… and more. He finds quickly a lawless strategy to implode and undermine the government.

Episode 2: Chapter 2
Following the leak of education draft law, Franck succeeded to quickly discard of Donald Blythe because he is originated of this legislation proposal which doesn’t like by the media. Franck make arrangements with him for he step down of his position. Therefore, Franck becomes education Minister and hire people with him to rewrite quickly the new law project about education.
Like any honorable politician, Franck goes in a suspicious man to recover interesting information while taking a cocaine rail. This episode ends with a scene where Franck uses the sports equipment bought by his wife on the episode 1 but he said that he shouldn’t use it.

Episode 3: Chapter 3
Franck is actually the education minister. He goes in the hurry in the South Carolina, on his hometown to take care of an embarrassing thing. At the time of this deal, he had built a water tower but this one caused the death of a teenager. Franck will try to do everything to avoid a trial and convince these parents to not file a complaint against him. It could cost him lot of money, this is why he start difficult negotiations with his rival which supports the victim’s family. In the next scene, his wife, Claire, hires an environmental activist. Christina Gallager, wife of Peter Russo offers to Claire to change of company but that is not good for she. It would reveal his secret relationship.

Episode 4: Chapter 4
The president of House of Representatives, Bob Birch, doesn’t support the law project of Franck. This last takes it very badly because they are both of them in the same political party. He decides to put pressure on him and even suggest to recover his law project and playing with her legitimity.
Bob Birch, must be know to pass his law project. If not, he will suffer the consequences: he will be dismissed of political life.
Thereafter, Franck imposes at Peter Russo to accept the closure of a shipyard in his riding, Pennsylvania this will bring delectation of 12’000 jobs.
The journalist and indicates of Franck accept to change job to become corresponding with the white house but she will end by refusing this job. This annoys Hammerschmidt, his boss and he decides the licensee of Zoe.
Meanwhile, Claire meet an old boyfriend. This man try to dredge she bit she will finish by refused.
Peter Russo begin to realize what he was made to do and he start again to drink alcohol and drugs.
Franck finish by win his political fight with Bob Birch and this one will be sacked. On the last scene, Franck arrives at Zoe’s home after a telephone conversation. Franck proposes to Zoe a sexual relationship and she accepts.

After to have spent the night in the Zoe’s apartment, his reporter. Franck crosses his wife, Claire on his home. She knows the relationship of her husband but she isn’t disagreeing with that if that’s good for business.
A meeting takes place in a tense atmosphere with Marty Spienlla, a representative of the teacher’s union.
Meanwhile, Claire prepares a charity gala to the benefit of her association, Clean Water Initiatives. During the gala, Marty Spinella organizes a demonstration in front of entrance of the charity gala with media to pressure on them. However, Claire and Franck succeed to discredited Marty Spinella. This last, furious, will engage a national strike of teachers.
Tom Hammerschmidt is forced to give step down after he have insult Zoe. She will easily find work on the website Slugline.
For her part, the wife of Peter Russo decides to leave him. This last will sink even more. Franck advice Peter to pull oneself together, stop alcohol and drugs in his interest although Franck thinks of expel his and get Governor of Pennsylvania.

Episode 6: Chapter 6
We let’s see in this episode, lot of teachers on strike since one month. Franck, under pressure, decides to drop the law project and remove extracts the most controversial.
A few days later, Peter Russo announce to Franck he will participate to the election of Governor in Pennsylvania.
Franck, finish by winning the balance of power with teachers thanks to his secret strategy that he doesn’t disclose. This action enrages Marty Spinella which ends up hitting Franck. This last will blackmail him to stop the strike and Franck doesn’t complaint against him (and don’t publicly display his because that could harm him).

Franck spends the night with three older friends. They talking about souvenirs together while drinking whiskey. Among them, Tim Corbett, his former best friend. Claire, alone on this side while Remy is concerned about the candidacy of Peter Russo to the post of governor in Pennsylvania. Remy wispers discreetly advances to Claire.
Peter Russo goes to Philadelphia to see his mother and try to get support for his candidature. However, the closure of the shipyard doesn’t help him on this task.

Meanwhile, law about environment’s examining by the House of Representatives. Franck arranges for parliamentarians favorably vote this legislation with help of Claire.
However, the latter disappointed that we don’t help her association Water Clean Initiative, accept help of San Corp that proposes Remy and failed the legislative about environment.
Zoe, would like to stop sexual relationship with Franck but he is disagreeing with her. He doesn’t see the same way and Zoe is obliged to continue this relationship to continue to work with him.
The episode ends by the rejection of the legislation about environment. Franck gets into a black anger and promises to discover the responsible.
